Anxious bullet journaler here!❤ I have found that the best thing for me is to leave the pages blank-not pre set up the pages. And I add the collections on the next blank page-not the back. I just tab them. It works for me! Hopefully it’ll help you.

That sage is beautiful! I am curious how you like the regular Leuchtturm over the Bujo 2nd edition. Looking forward to your setup.

About a week ago I had this epiphany of sorts that maybe I keep giving up on my dot grid notebooks because I love the square grid so much more. I generally revert back to a b6 stalogy because it's 5mm. I have so many dot grid notebooks that I would love to use, but my ocd brain prefers the square. I'm considering moving into the L1917 I have in my closet so that the lines are just a little bit darker. I always watch Lola Robles here on you tube and she has a pretty minimal set up, but functional. She has her monthly, a dashboard, then sets up the weeks for the month and then just blank pages for whatever she needs. Some structure, but not too much imo. Not sure if you ever thought of that, but it's something I have been wanting to try. Love that color and the vintage pens are some of my favorite pens!!

i love moving pages around too much for a bound notebook. bullet journaling requires too much setup; i don't have the patence. so....i always stick to ring planners, undated vertical pages for weekly tracking, lined notepaper for dailies/lists, and whatever happens gets put in those organically. anything else i've tried due to "shiny object syndrome" gives me anxiety and not used well, and things get missed, etc... at the end of the year, when I do my review, when I decide what to keep and what to shred, I decor the "to keep" pages for archive. i've never been able to decor and toss and i dont need to keep everything from the year.

As Leuchttrum is a German brand, the square is "of course" 5mm, so that you get the full centimeter with two squares, as si proper, LOL! That's how it's done over here, always, so no one expects you to write it explicitly on the packaging, because could it be any different?!?😉😆I have returned to squares lately, after 7 years of enjoying the dotted lifestyle, at least for my writing BuJo. I can't write orderly and quickly on the dots, and when I brainstorm or take notes for my novels, it gets quite messy quite quickly... The 4mm of the Stalogy are too small for me, and the lines of the squares are so tg´hin that I have the same issue as with the dots. Don't know yet what to do with the untouched Stalogy that's been sitting on my shelf for two years now... 😑

I think so many people unfortunately make bujo harder than it needs to be by thinking they have set up all these fancy layouts. You don't have to do that at all. All you need is a blank page and and a pen/pencil to jot down tasks. No need to draw calendars, elaborate weekly spreads, add date stickers, etc. Sure, people do that for likes and views and sharing on social media, but none of that is required to actually use your bujo as a functional tool.

Lol why can't you just keep the pages blank and fill it in as you go? Don't pre-set it up. That's what I do and it's worked for me for 4 years. As a fellow anxious person, I get it. Pre-made pages and layouts stress me out. Blank, messy pages, unstructured, etc, are relaxing and grounding for me. I don't do stickers, I don't do highlighters, I don't do fancy stuff. And it works great!
