You have to look at this rule from ALLAH's perspective in the grand scheme of things, not from the point of view of human beings. You don't get 4 wives for free or because of "male nature". 4 wives means exponentially more responsibility, since every wife will have your children and those children all need to be taken care of and provided for. This is not about intercourse and you would be naive to believe that. This is a logistical necessity for civilizations to thrive under the worst circumstances. Four women can have four children from one man in 9 months, whereas one woman with one man can only have one child in 9 months. If you want a civilization that can weather war and famine, this is your only option. Men also have to be prepared to put our lives on the line. Remember men, your soul is ALLAH's and taking 4 wives means you are taking care of a sacred trust because your brothers fell in battle or your brothers lost their lives at work. Many men are also criminals, unsuitable for a safe household and that's why ALLAH imposed this balance. Four wives is not a game and we should stop acting like it's for men. It's not for men, it's for ALLAH's promise of the Ummah thriving to be fulfilled. This is ALLAH's plan, you're HIS chess piece, made to instill fear in the heart of Iblees. If you can't handle one wife with children, don't marry a second one. I won't, unless war and famine strikes and it becomes a necessity and if my life is lost in battle for ALLAH, then I entrust my potential wife with a brother that survived. This is Islam. Not following your whims and desires because your male organ feels the need for more than one wife. The ONE being with the highest rationality does not think emotionally and is not impacted by any form of irrationality, HE is the highest authority because HE knows all things and this decision of HIS is a purely logical conclusion, given that HE fashioned this world and all its complex systems. With all the men dying in wars right now, how many women do you think will be left? Many, many women and fewer men. Marrying multiple women to satisfy yourself is not Islamic. You do it for ALLAH, in order to protect women from criminals, loneliness, isolation and more and when ALLAH calls you to fight, you follow that obligation, because you're a man and ALLAH's slave and your body is not yours, it is ALLAH's and your body is the only thing that stands between our women, our children and the oppressors. Never, ever take this subject lightly.

to satisfy oneself is also Islamic. people forget intimacy in marriage is another kind of worship, Allah gives reward to those. only ruling is if one wants to satisfy they have to handle the responsibility for wifes.

@@operationsnakeeater Not oneself. You get rewards for satisfying your wife/wives and they receive rewards for satisfying you. This religion is not one of selfishness, it is one of charity. You're doing your best to give a charity to your wife/wives through intimacy. That's where the reward is found. Why would ALLAH reward a man who pleasures himself with a woman and leaves her unsatisfied? Then ALLAH would be unjust. Your reward is found in spending time knowing what she likes and doing it until her body is satisfied and this concerns every wife you have. That is a mans obligation in intimacy, if he wants to see even a shred of reward with ALLAH. Also, ALLAH will reward men according to their intentions. Someone who marries two widows for their religion and for the sake of ALLAH isn't equal to someone who marries two women for their beauty and to pleasure his male organ. ALLAH might not even give any rewards to the latter, because his intentions are wrong. Let me remind you of the martyr and the scholar and the rich man that will be brought forth on Judgement Day and will be thrown into the Hellfire because their intentions were wrong. If you intend to marry multiple women for any other reason but ALLAH's pleasure, you'll awaken in a terrible state on Judgement Day, so be wary.

@@yahiiiaplays1252 i feel like you didn't read the last part where i said as long as he is responsible for them, all of those wives needs fall under responsibility. what you are doing is mixing christianity with Islam, where they consider intimacy as some sort of taboo. in islam one of the primary reason Allah commanded us to get married is due to sexual urge, it also considered beautiful if its done halal way. men are also allowed to take virgins as second, third or fourth wife, most of the muslims come up with the excuse that only widows and orphans can be married, it's just marrying them gets one higher reward. btw if one marries purely out of desire at worst that marriage is makruh not haram, which means Allah will neither reward you nor shun you.

I look at it in the way that in most cases a man has the means to provide protection and a home to women and rather then the other way around and the fact that most women that do become 2nd, 3rd, or 4th wives do it for reasons other than love. (Economic hardship, advanced age, political alliance). And if a man does end up falling in love with someone who is not his wife, he doesn’t have to ruin his marriage, leave a divorced destitute wife, split custody of children. He can keep the family unit together and promote unity. Although it’s a tough road with having multiple wives. Most Women don’t like to share for the most part. And that’s why consent from the wife is so important Best example I can provide is Henry the VIII. He had 6 wives and every-time he wanted a new wife he had the previous one killed or some how demeaned. This guy started a new religion essentially just so he could divorce his wife because Catholicism didn’t allow divorce. Not only that, his political advisors and other countries pushed their unwed daughters into his lap in order to get the best alliance and reap the benefits of his generosity towards his current wife’s family. His claim was he wanted a male heir and yet so many died in that pursuit. Islam really addresses these issues and Allah knows best

When a woman has it all due to inheritance (wealth, power, intelligence, looks, talent, work ethic) and she doesn't require a man to fill the provider role, i don't know how well the male protector aspect is valued as much. Especially now with people who are creating artificial wombs where women perhaps one day l, no longer need to bear the child for 9 months and go through child birth.

Because Allaah ordered that women can only have 1 husband at any given time. End of conversation.

In spite of all this, they are the strongest factor in this world that distracts men from the Hereafter, because men are inclined to desire them and they are not concerned with the Hereafter. They are quick to follow those who call them to deviate from Islaam, and reluctant to follow those pious people who call them to the Hereafter and righteous deeds." [At-Tadhkhirah’ (1/369)]

There is a practical issue here too. When the wife is pregnant, she cannot provide her multiple husbands with their sexual needs. Yes the baby is of a particular husband, but what about others. If three husbands each goes for kid with the same wife in a row, that's almost three years of no sexual activity among the husbands and wife. Husbands will just run after prostitutes being dry for three years, which makes this whole thing really impractical.

There is more men than women in China due to the impact of the one child policy. We could say that it's punishment for putting that policy in place but then people did not chose that policy, it was imposed. Plus, at that time China was poor and couldn't feed their population.

Marriage is only scared and holy between one man and one woman. What about in heaven women can 4 husbands.

People forget how risky it is to ask for a paternity test. Most men have to sneak off with their child to get them tested for paternity. And if it is the fathers, the distrust is still there, it can lead to divorce. And if it is not, here is this child you have to abandon because of your wife’s mistake, and the court system may still force you to stay with the child. While for men, the second you impregnate a women, child support will find its way, , with no obstacles or protections.

Don’t get government involved . It’s that simple don’t allow non Muslims law to interfere.

Paternity is enough. Just because we have ways of testing now doesn't mean we will always have access to these methods. Technology can be lost and forgotten over time. It can't be guaranteed that we will always have an accurate method of testing paternity. It can be guaranteed that if a woman only has intercourse with 1 Husband paternity will be known no matter if this principle is applied to the past without methods to test, present with methods to test or potential future without methods to test. The only things to worry about with Allah's standard would be grape and the wife cheating. With a Liberal standard of women with multiple husbands you have to worry about which husband it was and you still have to worry about grape and the wife cheating with some outside guy who isn't one of her husbands.

Muslim men should start looking at Jewish women. Orthodox Jewish women are not feminist, listen to their men, more loyal and usually more beautiful inside and out. These days I notice Muslim women try to control their husbands...I left my wife n now I'm looking for Jewish wife. #muslimmenwithjewishwomen

muslims and jews doesn't always work. But im happy for you :) And the man can convert the non muslim wife, i think that is one of the reasons for why men can marry other women from different religions.

This shouldn't even be a discussion or topic about it,i don't know why discussion about this even ??? It is clear as sky what a woman is and what a man is and what are differences,we are not equal or same in any aspect,so women have their role and their benefits and we have our role and benefits,women cant have their benefits and get male gender benefits as well pls some things need to be let out of public conversation
