Bro he isn't comparing, just because she pointed out Muslim men, he gave an example telling that this doesn't happen only in muslim but happens in all other religions. And therefore if you take the ratio , muslim men have only 1 wife compared to all other religions, and only the quran tells "If you cant do justice , marry only one". Hope you understood bro :)

Yes there is....First wives permission is a compulsion or an option There are only under dire circumstances one can have another wife. And equal treatment to all and all must be happy( this is the hardest..men can't do justice among their children, siblings and others you think they are capable to handle more than one wife..even Allah knew it was impossible..hence the clause

When men have extra marital affairs, do they ask their wives and get their permission..when they misbehave and divorce them, they ask for their permission..Marry two women is not easy..you have to support two families equally...but extra marital affairs and divorcing one wife and marrying another is easy..but in islam extra marital relationships are not allowed..and any man who don't do justice between two wives will be punished..

@@truthistruth80 your reply was on point but there's one more things for @DahamNavinda that the time all these sculptures were made women were totally dependent on men and when some man would die leaving his wife or children, other people there would start adulting (idk what is that called lol) her and so other men would make them their wives in order to save them from those people cause at that time even the step siblings were also seen with bad eyes specially those who made siblings after a particular age and not since when they were kids.. so that time people who wanted to save the women from those situations they used to marry them.. and the only thing left is 'se*' so that's because every human has the desire and so the men were made to marry more than one wife on the condition that only if they would be just with both or all of their wives and that's why need to fulfill their desires too.... Firstly Islam gives permission but one has to consider many factors...1. The reason to marry. 2. First wives permission is a compulsion 3. First wife's permission is not required..we should only follow islam ..do not try to change it according to your wishes...4 marriages are allowed but only with justice which is not easy for everyone..

He gave 2 options ! what about third option to remain single . My aunt is single independent woman by choice and she lives a respectful life . All I'm saying it was too harsh to connect 2 marriage with public property.

Also What should One do if his first wife is Barren and they have tired everything??See One of the ways, He can compensate her to be a parent is my marrying a second and sharing the upbringings of those children with her. Also there are situations where the female initiates the second marriage e.g if she has Cancer then her husband can opt to marry a second wife while she is alive and stabilise his family.

This is what I have read about Hindu dharma:- In ancient times, all men and women in society were allowed to have only one life partner throughout their life except royal families and kings. Kings were allowed to have multiple wives as it benefitted their kingdom in many ways like maintaining political relationships with other kingdoms,avoiding wars, keeping peace etc. Whenever any man had multiple wives, many times his wealth, property, family time was never divided properly within all wives and their children. Some of his kids start feeling they don't get justice in family once they grew and it would create hostile situation among step brothers- sisters. Men with multiple wives suffered horrible old age days compared to men with single wives as later on none of their families was completely happy. Therefore polygamy should be avoided to get peaceful society.

Look at the west and their high divorce rate, high number broken family which affects children immensely. most Muslim men don't marry more than 1, only a few who has the means to do justice do that and that even only in very few parts of the world. The whole question was a bad faith thing, trying to show some flaw in Islam. His examples just shattered that bad faith argument.

I remember our neighbors over 2 decades ago, was a Muslim family. The man had 2 wives. At first when the family moved next door to us, the man only had 1 wife. about a year later, this man married his 2nd wife and the 2nd wife moved into the same house, which I thought was odd as I believed the man should have gotten his 2nd wife her own house and not live with both wives under 1 roof. Since that 2nd wife moved in, there was constant loud verbal arguments coming from this house. The wives definitely did not get along and it got so bad that other neighbors started calling the cops to report domestic violence. Eventually the family moved out about a year later after this man got married to his 2nd wife.

Let me clear it. Firstly I am amazed by the knowledge this guys has. Secondly, as he said the Quraan itself says "Marry only one". The polygyny is more related to culture. Shri ram's father- Dashrata had 3 wives as he wasn't able to have a son with his first wife, had a daughter instead and at that time, not having a heir was a big problem for kings so he married the other two and also for material gains of property of different lands. when Narakasura, a demon king, was killed by Lord Krishna, his 16,100 captive wives were set free. They were left with nothing and in order to protect them and give shelter and facilities for a livelihood, Krishna accepted them as his wives and took them to Dwarka. Well answering a question and comparing other religions are different things , people in many religion doesn't marry more than once not cuz it's written in their books but because there books teach them this without specifically mentioning that marry once .

In almost case our hindu also got 2,3 wife's as zakir said, many cases you will get because of some uneducated man. I don't think it matters how many wives/husbands people have as long as they are happy and they do not get thrown out after.

Now, if you marry a widow, Or orphan or someone who has no means of Living and taking care of herself you can marry her with the intention of giving her support as there is hadith which says, "actions are judged by intention". If such a situation arises where a woman needs support and your intention is pure its fine. Whereas if there is a needy and you are helping her but in your heart you have lustful intentions you are digging your grave with your own hands and going towards hellfire!

One is a teacher the other is a businesswoman. They are happy, my friend got a good grade in class, got along with his siblings with another mother, even came to his sick step sister when she got sick, invited us all for a big family gathering for dinner. And even though Timothy does mention one wife, non of the translation of versions use the word ‘only’ in reference to one wife. First of all the true fact is that even as per thousand years old Bhagavad Gita, You have to have only legitimate relationship with your legal wife. Even if you want to take to Sanyasam alone , you can't unilaterally take to Sanyasam unless your legal wife agrees for it. The rules in the Bhagavad Gita are very strict as per scriptural texts. Read slokas 16-23 & 16-24 of the Bhagavad Gita for further guidance in this regard.

I wish he had recited the full verse that covers polygamy instead of focusing on the second part. It’s one verse where polygamy is associated with orphans, not two separate verses but one. In Arabic it’s called شرط وجواب الشرط. Meaning there is a condition and an answer/fulfillment to that condition in the verse. I’d appreciate it if he could speak to that. He might be embarrassed if he repeats what’s in the interpretation books, because they don’t align with the verse as a whole (condition and fulfillment of that condition). Last clarification, men are allowed to marry up to 4 but doesn’t mean they have to marry 4 wives, under certain condition (first half of the verse) but not according to the traditional interpretation.

Illogically logically explained... He knows how to shut up mouths by quoting some verses and statistics...

When I was young all the stories in the Bible were so fascinating, I used to read the Bible without any deep understanding. And now every story in the Bible is awakening and this has changed the way I read it now. Reading Bible for the sake of making comparisons makes no sense, read it with all your heart and soul. Bible clearly speaks about marriage and the purity of it.

Sister, He is just lying, their book gives them permission to all believers to lie to grow their religion, Their religion could not sustain without blaming other religions, He is criticizing Krishna, and other deities in Hinduism and also other religions like Jews and Christians, but nobody have married 6 year old child other than the founder of their religion and he Says god gave him permission to do so. The founder of their religion attacked many innocent tribes and captured their wife's and children's as slaves and also he have promoted slavery but no others in history have done this😊

1. solve the paternity dispute, in upto 19th century, no DNA test allowed 2. what will the husbands do when she is pregnant with one s baby, and when she gives birth to ones baby, how can she sleep with first husband s baby and second husband, can she trust the second husband that he will not harm the baby in sleep? Answer these 2 questions

@@Venom-Kuki If my wife wants to be with another man, I will divorce her and she can go with her choice after the iddat period (3 months, to clear air if she is pregnant with my baby or not), and if I want to have another woman, my wife has two options 1. remain married and allow me to marry 2nd, provided the 2nd one is also ready to share, 2. get divorced and make way for me and herself find another partner...

By the same logic, if for special circumstances at some period in history, if there are more men and less women, can one woman can have more than one husband

I am a muslim. As far I can realise according to sura :nisa ayat :3,,, (plz Allah forgive me if I am wrong) Men are allowed to marry more than one, highst four women who are orphan female and grown up under the custody of that man.

Golden Point - It's only the rich Arab Sheikhs who marry multiple females and have multiple females, while the ordinary Muslim has only 1 wife

Golden Point - Miserly Dr. Zakir Naik has never dated a female or has never taken a female anywhere outside and so he has no idea as to how costly the whole thing is ie paying for 1 female is beyond the capability of most men let alone 8 females..

Bible tells about the remarriage and also the conditions Matthew 19:9 (ESV) And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery. Divorce is the only way to end marriage underthese conditions and even if a person wants to remarry these are the conditions, God clearly permits remarriage after the death of a spouse and actually encourages remarriage for younger widows (Romans 7:1-3, 1 Corinthians 7:8-9,27-28,39-40; 5:11-16). God never allowed CHRISTIANS for polygamy.

@@human7491 I believe that Muhammed who rose after 6 centuries., with kinky mind., god have chosen only jacob., vexation from a branches Ishmael is a Muhammed who said himself as a prophet ., he wrote a book in which he said that bible is gods word but it is misleaded so god again wrote a new book through me so everyone believe me., and he also mentioned cleverly that he is the last prophet., so brainless one can change his kinky words.. cleverly he wrote a story book for his convenience and himself proclaimed it as holiest ever books., no offence it's my belief.

I see no logic/reason in him calling certain women public property. Chosing multiple sexual partners is an individual choice. However it does not gives others any right of using derogatory comments against them.
