Denver showed themselves to be weak even against the Lakers. They were betting on the Lakers giving up Leads. But the Wolves don't slow down from start to finish. Edit: Looks like my comment aged like fine wine now that the Wolves knocked Denver out of the playoffs

I don't think the Lakers gave up I think when Rui scores 5 pt, Dlo scores 0 pts, Reaves score 7 points, Dewit scores 4 points That's why they lost the series! Lebron and Davis played every games and the other guys just showed up and it cost them that series.

The Lakers didnt have the talent and the coaches to win the game! Denver is the better team in terms of coaches and players... that is just the straight-up truth. Our Lakers got bums playing, who are so inconsistent such as Spencer Denshitty, Teaurean bum ass Prince, Deangelo not showing up Russell (who are selling and inconsistent) and Darvin Ham who dont know wtf he's doing. Bron an AD aint enough, we need size in the paint so AD can play as 4, and shooters to knock down crucial 3s, Lakers are the worst in 3s.
@Kitchen374
Ай бұрын
But what LeBron said is something we didn't have. We didn't have vando to really add length to the floor to disrupt passing lanes. We don't have another big like Rudy guarding the paint. We only have AD. And our POA defenders are nowhere near as good as Edward's or nic walker. So that's really the point outta all of this. We had enough to put up a fight but in alot of those games the habits we developed all year showed themselves. We just had defencieis in our roster.

Guys. DEN outrebounded LAL by about 50 including +30 on the Orebs. Do you understand what that does? It allows you to have more looks at the rim than your opponent. It was CLEAR as day upon close observation this was DEN advantage over the LAL, along with a mental edge beating them religiously. With all that, LAL could’ve easily been 4-1 and don’t forget they and MIN played DEN well LAST YEAR. Against MIN 2nd rd, there is absolutely no rebounding or size advantage. This means DEN has to play extremely efficient offense, which is unlikely given how well MIN plays defense. On top of that, MIN is riding the confidence wave. Best thing that could’ve happened to MIN was their 1st round match vs PHX. It gave Ant the confidence to know he can play well vs anyone and now they’re all tagging along. Plus, it’s mentally easier to lock in on D than O. That’s why I think MIN sweeps.

hey JJ how would you put the lakers in best position to win? how would you use the roster?
wolves coach worked for nuggets. he built/designed wolves defense to handle joker, murray, joker AND murray, and dumps down to gordan and kick outs to jr and wings. aka he designed wolves defense to stop nuggets offense. and we saw that in games 1 and especially 2. we saw how they did it exactly to match nugs offense. to keep them from taking perimeter shots they guarded extremely close. constant ball pressure. to keep joker from getting his shot or his pass, they prevented him, mostly with their size (probably one of the two biggest keys to their defense vs nugs offense) from ever really getting to his spots or ever really having a clear pass. so he'd have to kick it out, and then the outs were in your face gaurded again. reminded me of, can't remember the game, but when i think it was the celtics, wouldn't let kd go anywhere uncontested. making cuts - guy was bumping and blocking him the whole way. trying to pop out - same. trying to flow to a spot - same thing. he was constantly being bumped around when he didn't even have the ball. could not get to a spot to get the ball and a good shot. wolves whole team played this kind of defense against nugs whole team. they never could get to their spots.
wasn't clear. is the wolves advantage length?

Great assessment gentleman keep up the outstanding work me as fan appreciate your knowledge of the game ❤️🙏🏾.
Lebron & the lakers set the blueprint on how to stop Denver in the bubble championship.. They had Dwight , McGee & AD all switching on joker. Joker already said after game 1 vs wolves he needs a clone. Not only does he play 40 minutes he’s getting guarded by 3 freshish guys who are each taking turns that can all also defend. But because the wolves can & have the players they are doing the exact same thing to Murray. Saying to MPJ , Gordon & pope you gone have to hit all your shots because we locking up your best two players.

JJ and Crew - If you could get some form of digital sketch pad for when JJ goes to the clipboard. Have each NBA teams roster imported. Design it so each player has a defining characteristic (ie players number or face) as a marker on the court. Define who has possession by having the symbol of the ball under the player or a callout on top by the ease of a button. Possession - Wolves (top of the screen in corner) I’m just out here giving out my app idea for free. I’m sure numerous plays could be drawn up on something like this on multiple levels of basketball. All inspired by JJ being upset he used an O instead of an X. 🤣
I'm def looking forward to the JJ-Lebron timeout huddles in LA next year.

We had them in the IST and Haliburton said « We don’t have 3-4 6’9 athletic wing like them » or something like that. You can have length but if there's no will and desire to stop your man every play, it won't matter in the end. Kudos to the Wolves team for owning it and locking in on the defensive side, it's a pleasure to watch.
But denver figured it out by making aaron gordon in outside perimeter as primary ball handler cause Minnesota always high press double team jamal murray and jamal murray switches in paint and beats gobert and mcdaniels with footwork. When murray is trapped, kcp and mpj leaves corners and close out switches. This is why jokic has more efficient fg in paint. Minnesota do not have nimble footwork in switches, denver does.
I guess I need to add more lint to be better...

@@justinepaul5473 Yep, Vando is like jaden mcdaniels defensively. He could've contain mpj's clutch shots that killed the lakers. Not to mention Cam reddish who has the potential to limit jamal murray instead of reaves defending him in clutch moments including the buzzer beater.

@@hancholo3411 I did not say lakers should play them together, don't you dare distorting/strawman my arguments lmao not gonna work on me pal
new word LENTH😂😂😂 no matter how rich you are. Education should still be a priority.
JJ just like writing on the whiteboard 😆
What is lenght?
"avantage" "lenth" 🤣🤣🤣
Lebron forgot to say pause after “length”
Bruhh we had length too they just wasn’t playing. Can reddish didn’t play-length, christian woods-length, jarred Vanderbilt-length.
To be honest that was the Lakers’ disadvantage as we missed Cam, Vando and C Wood. We did not have any length off the bench and we did not have enough bodies to be put on Jokic, because when AD was on foul trouble we had to put Rui on Joker and every game, that was the matchup that allowed Denver to come back in the game. I don’t even blame coach Ham because who was he gonna put? Lebron went on Jokic for the final minutes of games but we couldn’t have him guarding Joker the for a major period of time at this age
Aged poorly

Weird dudes fr
This timberwolves team reminds me of the 2020 lakers they also had the best defensive rating that year and was first in offensive rebounding
Timberwolves advantage primarily is its depth. Champions nuggets last year could very well match up with this Timberwolves. Plus Jamal been playing injured.
no diddy my guy... pause

Everybody doesn’t have dick on their mind like you it’s ok bro
Not only do the Wolves have length, but they solved the problem that made big teams unfashionable for the last 10 years: agility and shooting. They're big, AND they're agile enough to keep up with small lineups, AND they can space things out and shoot the long ball with some of the best shooting bigs in the league.
Nice pitch for the Lakers head coach job, JJ. I see what you're doing there.
This is a joke 😂😂😂
Seems like the Wolves roster was constructed on length and defensive ability. Scoring is only secondary. It's a gamble that paid off.
That Rusty whatever channel guy (no disrespect--I'm ADHD) said the future of the league is basically 3 small forward sized guys at the 2-3-4. He falls in line with his idea of the death of the PF, and that traditional SGs are next to be evolved out of the league (but ANT tho haha) I think he has a point and the TWolves have most of those elements-- length at almost every position, guys who are great controlling space with that length.
