No. It’s impossible. There will never be a generation that has MJ. No matter how good someone becomes, and it will be a long time before anyone comes close to being as great as Jordan was. No one has ever come close to being as good a basketball player as MJ. Not close. Kobe was the nearest, but a long way away. MJ is an anomaly. A god. You can’t compare a god to mortals.

Agree with Ant and his greatness, but calling the wolves mediocre is crazy. Gobert’s dominance this year is way too understated. 2 all stars, probably 3 all defense players in NAW, Mcdaniels, and Gobert. Naz Reid is the best bench player in basketball. I think it’s fine to acknowledge that Ant will be one of the great ones without disparaging a fantastic, well-built roster. I’ve watched every wolves game this season.

He seems very competitive, he attacks the basket, he has a great vertical and body control in the air, even his power dunks look graceful, he plays great defense. Just something about the kid I really like. I understand the MJ comp. But it’s only MJ-very-lite.

ANT will decide if he gets to the level of a Jordan. He has the talent to do it and will really only need to dedicate himself to the work model to get there. He has incredible skills. The way he can back step and hit shots or just dribble through even top players to get to the hoop is off the charts.

I always envisioned the next jordan being a guy who played with a furious determination to dominate, and we'd know it when we seen it, because he would stand so far above everyone else and leave us all in awe. This kids awesome, hes def got some shades of jordan, but idk yet. Lets see him dominate all opposition w a relentless will, then we can start talking

The comparison of them is ok now. He is very good and his mindset is great. Give him time to be more of a leader. Jordan also needed time to get his teammates into the focus. The three things i miss are the smooth style, the defense and the easy jumpers to put his scoring on another level but Jordan also needed time for that.

Look at the point leaders of current season and you will find most in top 20 in each conference are over the age of 27. Many over 30 years old. Anthony Edwards is that Dawg. May fortune and good health fuel his abilities and humbleness guide his path to greatness next to the GOAT.

Anthony's game has some similarities to a young Jordan (athletic, aggressive to the rim, mid-range jump shooting) but that's where it ends. Yes, Anthony is bigger & stronger than Jordan was at his age, but young Jordan was more athletic, had a higher vertical (41.5 inch to MJ's 48 inch vertical) was a better scorer & possessed superior body & ball control in mid air. Again, there's some similarities but also some clear dissimilarities.

I remember clearly as a kid wanting to watch Jordan's every game because I knew every game he played was something special and historic. I now feel the same way about watching ANT now, especially after watching ANT, Towns and the Wolves sweep KD and the Suns. ANT is going to be historic, he's developed that killer instinct, he wants to kill every game in front on him. He's not satisfied being one of the NBA greats, he's got a chip on his shoulder and wants Rings and championships. I want to watch every game of his because he has that killer instinct, he can shoot, pass and most importantly, elevate his game and those around him. His teammates want to play to his level, his expectations of them.
