I watched MJs entire career. I've never compared anybody to MJ before. Not even Kobe....but i watch 65-70 Wolves games a year. He IS doing MJ things. And he IS an elite defender. He's the closest to 23 yr old MJ I've ever seen.

I have never once heard MJ mention Skip Bayless in his entire life time of public interviews. I don't even think MJ knew who Skip was in the 1997-98 season. Skip is a pathological liar. He tends to lie about covering MJ's games and lying about being at historical football and basketball games. Skip is not the type to show up at any live games. More like the superstitious hermit that watches his one main tv at the comfort of his home.

Not really, because he’s comparing stats era to era, when MJ played in a harder to scorer era and didn’t shoot any 3s, until the end of his career. It’s way easier to score now, which Key isn’t taking into account. You put young MJ on the Wolves and he’s putting up 34-35 ppg easy. There’s too much spacing in the paint and no hand checking. It’s straight BBQ chicken.

Fans just love hard work and heart in athletes. Thats why we all admire Magic Bird MJ and Kobe. They played with so much passion and heart. And thats why many fans despise KD LeBron Harden etc. Ant has that heart. He just stays true to the game. He loves to compete and would rather lose with dignity that win with disgrace (AKA LBJ and KD joining super teams)

Keyshawn Johnson:Why couldn't a young Jordan (on a lottery team) couldn't beat the Celtics (who had 5 all stars in 86) Keyshawn Johnson: 4 years into the NBA, Jordan was averaging 35 points per game, but he was by himself on the Bulls. Which one is it Keyshawn, should Jordan, by himself, be able to beat a team full of hall of famers or not! Whatever fits his story, that's the angle he'll attack!

Playoff wins & early success is two different things. Jordan had alot of big games where he came through scoring wise & from a competitive standpoint wise, aggressive in getting the ball to score and make a play or take the last shot. Some games he won some he lost. But MJ made it to the playoffs every year he played for the Chicago Bulls. Of course there were big games

Jordan saying that a guy has some similarities to his game doesn't mean Jordan is saying he's as good or anywhere near. Yet we know inevitably this is where this debate will go. NBA needs a new super star to compare to Jordan. This has happened all the time since he's retired. From Kobe to Vince to McGrady to Lebron to Edwards and many in between. Anyway, nobody can really compare to Jordan. His resume is way too OP. You can compare individual aspects, but as total package it's not even close. It's not just the 6 rings and 6-0 in Finals with 6 Finals MVPS. It's the 10 scoring titles in 11.5 healthy years as a Chicago Bull. Think about that level of dominance. That's basically winning the scoring title every year as a Chicago Bull where he was actually healthy and played the season. Think of some of the greatest scorers of the past 25 years....Kobe, Lebron, McGrady, Doncic, Durant, etc. NONE of these guys have more than 2-3 scoring titles. They're nowhere near the level of dominance of Jordan as a scorer. Then add the fact he was also one of the greatest defenders of all-time. And add the titles, the clutch plays, two 3peats.....The only team in the last 25 years to win a 3peat are the 2000-2002 Lakers. Only happened once in the last 25 years while Jordan did it TWICE in 8 years. Levels. THEN....Add in the sheer eye test.....Jordan was the most athletic guy in the league by far. And his game was poetry in motion. It's one thing winning scoring titles and stuffing the stat sheet....It's another thing to also have the most pleasing and jaw dropping game to look at. Dunking over PFs and Cs....Great handles. All-time great footwork and fundamentals and hesitation moves, etc, etc. There's a reason everyone wanted to be like Mike. Kobe wanted to be like Mike...Lebron entered with #23 because he wanted to be the next Jordan.....In other words, even some of the greatest players wanted to be like MJ because they knew he was the pinnacle of the sport. I say all this to say; STOP comparing guys to MJ. Not only does it put unnecessary pressure and expectations which aren't fair to the new guys but it also disrespects and belittles Jordan and everything he was and accomplished. Not to mention, these aren't even serious or realistic debates to begin with. They're just clickbait to get easy views by stirring controversial statements. The closest anyone has ever been to MJ is Kobe though. From having the same height and body to very similar move set and abilities and intense mentality. And even as great as Kobe was he ultimately fell short by a good 30-40% imo. These other guys should get to Kobe's level first before they get compared to Mike.

Key could’ve done a better job trying to backup the MJ comparisons for Ant. I wish he did a breakdown to his skill set and all of his abilities in his game. Not talk about how many rebounds and points he averaged and stuff. It’s his attitude and how it affects a losing culture into a winning culture, mid range pull up, athleticism, defense and willing to guard the best player at a high level, ball handling and able to create his shot and get to his spots, and willing to step up in the clutch on both ends. We not saying he will be better Skip. He just have a similar style of game to MJ. It’s a difference.
