Why is my Maytag washing machine making a squeaky sound? P1
In this video we show the problem of the washer which is doing a horrible noise when washing. When the washer was washing, the inner tub was moving a little bit, when it was making this movement, it was squeaking. To find the problem we opened the brake assembly and there was the problem: the paste was loosed.

mine is a maytag commercial washer and its making this noise. Is it the same problem? Or is it just the belt slipping.

My washer whines when the spin cycle starts.. just at the beginning and when it stops.. it screeches to a stop.. like something rubs.. have you ever heard of something like that? I have a Maytag legacy
