I think apple was in a similar position right before the iPhone. They were late to cellular phones and then boom iphone changed everything. What will they perfect next? I don’t know but their track record is good.

That’s exactly right. They always appear to be the sleeping giant until they wake up and drop a revolutionary product. We shall see..

As an AAPL shareholder I have no concerns about their AI strategy. Apple’s earned the benefit of the doubt in regards to this kind of stuff. They have a history of being late to the party with certain products, the home button comes to mind, but they have always ended up on top.

Also they have deep enough pockets and the rest of the companies’ segments are strong enough, to invest into Ai over the long run and get it right.

Why do companies do this? Do you think this will benefit remaining shareholders?

buy backs drive up stock prices. So yeah you are benefiting. It also decreases float, so your shares are more scarce. and you know about supply demand don't you.

@@ranrise What is float? Yes reducing the supply of shares will make each share more valuable that makes sense.
