I thought solar energy would take off with the increased demand for electricity too, but that turned out to be very wrong. Utilities profits are up because natural gas has fallen, but should bottom. If capacity is limited then revenue growth will be limited too. Margins will fall with increased capex to build out more capacity with money borrowed at high rates. If electric rates go up it will justify the cost of solar.
