@@carolinereidartist Honestly, I don't know. Reliable data is hard to come by in this part of the world, despite there being no Communist -style (or the novel Pharma-Fauci-Gates brand of) censorship in force. The cost of a muddle-headed, draconian lockdown was clearly immense in terms of lives and livelihood lost, especially among the working class. The knock-on effects on health -- including mental health/depression, stress-induced immune dysfunction, postponed childhood vaccination programmes, mid-day meals in schools (or lack thereof) and malnutrition -- are hard to quantify. As a practising doctor who has treated -- successfully (not a single patient requiring hospitalisation) -- nearly two hundred Covid patients over the last two years, I think I can confidently say that there were hardly any deaths or life-threatening adverse reactions attributable to the two Covid vaccines used/licensed in this country (the attenuated whole-virus Covaxin and the adenovirus vector Covishield aka Astra Zeneca). Many Thanks Dr. Been, for such a nice discussion on my article. I started my career in Pharmaceutical marketing, conditioned to see Health from point of view - Sales, Markets, Lifetime Customers Valuation and Revenues. Being a lawyer, I could never stomach Vaccine laws in US, which were blatantly unfair to populations. Legal frameworks should be changed to keep interests of larger populations in mind. Populations cannot lobby for themselves. We elect governments to do that. When Govts start lobbying for corporation, they betray the populations that elected them. I dont know the answer, but this needs to be atleast recognized first

Democratic policies always lead to tyranny
Most people outside of India don’t realize that the huge amount of negative press about the india is largely propaganda. when you talk to people on the ground in India, the prime minister for example is a widely respected figure. Primarily because they know he is not corrupt, and he cannot be bought. there was no way he was going to kowtow to a foreign corporation and put the safety of the Indian people at risk.

Yes there is a concerted effort since 2014 to cause strife and bring his government down. Unfortunately there are sections here for either political, monetary, intellectual or religious reasons opposing every government initiative.

@@dominicyelin You should search for India in NYT, WaPo, the guardian or any 'liberal' press for that matter. Because the current government is right leaning, they demean it and cover only negative news, conveniently skipping the positive aspects. You should ask Indians in india (not Indian Americans) or look at stock market to analyse how the country actually functions. Since these two arenas involve self interest and not political correctness, you get a clearer picture. Not trying to paint india as a cornucopia of perfection, but it's developing rapidly. Modi enjoys 75% approval rating nine years in. Says something about his leadership!
The potential for negligence or abuse when there is no accountability is high.
Good for you, India. Highest respect.
How wonderful India has been regarding dealing with these matters. So much more enlightened and caring for their citizens. Impressive. 👍👏👏👏

Thank god India's good karma finally came through 🙏🙏🙏 my husband's family is there and I was so thankful none of them had that garbage 🗑
I remember reading how India had been previously experimented on with many of children dying. They were already on high alert.
I’m still just patiently waiting for some kind of justice to be served to all those involved in this crime against humanity

I had a similar experience, not so called anti vax at all but caught it around the time the vax was being released and didn’t get very sick at all. Meanwhile over the next few months all my vaxed friends started catching it and getting sicker than I did . I started not listening to all the hype over it and got on with my life , been around plenty of positive people during that time and never caught it again . Happy with my choice based on what works for me

A principled approach in India: excellent.
If I understand correctly, India is still involved with litigation with severe adverse effects concerning the HPV vaccine. It has been at least 10yrs if not more. The same person/foundation, connected with both.
India wisely don't seen them as Safe and Effective! Very wise move they should roll out IVM and HCQ and show the world how repurposed medicines DID work after all!
What immediately came to my mind is to look at the difference in the vaccine injury in India compared to countries highly vaccinated with the mRNA technology. It should be very enlightening.

I do know that Britain had to stop using Astrazeneca vaccine (approved in India?) due to enumerable injuries...(blood clots?)....USA I think quit using Johnson & Johnson for same reason...This is from my memory....(verify for yourself).
HR Bill 5546 in 1986 needs to be overturned especially since the Children and Adults have had vaccine injuries and no compensation. Since Co Vid 19 ect. has happened this is even more important to have repealed in the USA
Excellent presentation and thank you for your honesty. Kudos to the Indian government for standing their ground

The ridiculous number of vaccines that babies have to get would not exist if we never gave big pharma indemnity. Only a few pediatricians are wise enough to advise their patient's parents that the youngsters (adults too I'm sure) should not gt multiple vaccines at the same appointment. Too much heavy metal.poisoning via adjuvants and preservatives.
When a corporation has a history, a long history, of deceit, interpersonal relationships with government employees, and a hiring practice of those employees that did favorable things for them. The most and largest settlement in history. You call that a clue. Couple that with the Bhopal disaster and all US litigation dismissed, only a fool would want to revisit a similar scenario.
A pity the UK didn't. Thanks Dr Been
I suspect that the days of India looking to the West for thought leadership may be coming to an end. Well done India. Also well done Uttar Pradesh for getting remarkable results with ivm. This should have been shouted from the rooftops worldwide.
