Knitting comes and goes, children are little so short a time. I'm glad you are taking a break for what really matters. You'll design sooner than you think. Best of luck. I'm looking forward to watching your wonder fluff sweater. I've wanted to try that yarn.

You are so right. These years certainly fly by. Being present for my kids is most important and I would love knitting to be my "break time" versus something stressful.

Thank you so much. It sounds like you have a lot going on as well. I'm sure easy patterns help give you a much needed break and relaxation. I'm finding this sweater is doing. that for me as well.

Thank you so much! I'm excited to have some classic pieces to add to my wardrobe. I love knitting with color and patterns but am realizing that I don't wear those items as much and want to be more mindful of my consumption.

Best wishes for your “sabbatical “! Maybe sharing ideas in the future regarding knitting patterns that work with a capsule wardrobe? We all run after the newest, trendy pattern, but I’m beginning to get interested in knitting classic style patterns that I’ll enjoy for a long time. Just a thought. Enjoy your beautiful family!!

Thank you I would really enjoy seeing your journey with this Cardigan. I am not an experienced sweater knitter and I think watching your process will give me some courage. On the not designing it's all good. We grow and change and nothing to say you won't come back to it .... or not. Also, Happy 40th Birthday!

Thank you for the birthday wishes! The first sweater I ever knit was a top down raglan cardigan. It was a pretty easy first sweater. This one has techniques that are even new to me but I'm enjoying how well written the pattern is. It's been fun documenting each days progress. Fingers crossed I can finish it in time!

Your video just popped up on my KZread feed… love it! Funny you mention the Caidree pattern… I just downloaded her Harlow sweater, was reading through it, didn’t quite understand the stitch/technique…. So I put it down! Soooooo an idea for you…😊 you could do stitch/technique tutorials for specific sweaters, explaining just that part…. For me, I try to add a new technique with each new project… a quick tutorial explaining the stitch/construction would be great!😊 Kids grow up fast - take the time - you don’t get it back!!! (All of the sudden I have a child with a driver’s permit- how did this happen? Where did the time go?!) Take the time! I am off to check out the rest of your channel!!

That's a wonderful idea! There were a few directions in this sweater that were not very beginner friendly so I could see how someone would maybe buy the pattern but not finish the sweater. I also agree that kids grow up so fast! My oldest is turning 13 this summer. He will be driving in no time. It feels nice to be able to have time to connect with my kids while they are living here with me. I know that's a privilege that I don't want to take for granted. Let me know what other videos you would love to see! I'm working on some new ideas!

How about designing a little baby set seeing you have the perfect model. Baby clothes are my most favorite makes in the world + not such a big commitment. But apart from that you are doing the most important job in the world, being a mother to your children.

I think it's a good decision when you face reality - time is short and you really need to be in the right frame of mind. Just on another note, the editing in this is very staccato the whole way through. I don't know what's happened it chops and changes all the time and is distracting and an interruption to the flow. Your conversation gets cut off all the time. And congrats on having a baby at 39. You dont look it that's for sure (although I'll bet you sometimes FEEL like it hahahahaha) happy April, and happy Easter

Thank you for the encouragement. I completely agree. Also thank you for your feedback on my video. I was attempting to cut out the fluff but will do a better job next time so it's not so choppy!
