Kaci the glasses look great on you. A light look and it shows your pretty eyes off. I was in your neck of the woods yesterday! Well in Arkansas! We rode to a town called Batesville to look a an old car. My husbands business. ( We are in middle Missouri .) I hadn't been in that area in 20 + years. My Dad had family there. Mostly we travel in western Arkansas. I don't know where you are but we ate at Cowboy BBQ in that town. If you get there try it out. It was great! Daffodils out down in that part and Bradford Pears blooming! I am ready for warm. Missouri is up and down , too. In one day🙄. Cheryl

Love the Alpenglow! I wish it were warm here in Montana. It was -10°F this morning when I took my dog out before I left for work so I had to put her little boots on so her paws wouldn't get too cold before she did her business lol. But it is perfect weather to stay inside and work on my Cascades Cowl for the KAL 😁

Kaci, I love the colours from your Alpenglow sweater. The fit looks great on you too! "Look at this squish and bounce!" I love that terminology there and will have to put that on rotation. ♥ So much fun. A friend of mine has been really inspiring me to get into spinning and I'm right at the door now. I've just gotta walk in and try it out. :D Maybe there's a class near me?

Wow, that’s wild to me that you’re already panting seeds! I’m in Canada (Alberta, specifically) and right now it’s -45 today lol (google says that’s 7 in Celsius). The earliest we could possibly plant seeds here is late March, to get into the ground for spring. I can’t imagine planning my garden in February!! Super cool to see how different climates are.

Love your alpenglow sweater. One technique I’ve heard of but never tried for a large chest is modifying the divide for sleeves so there are more stitches in front than in the back. I think I’ll give that a try because I always seem to have extra fabric in the back.

WOW, Zinff has a lot of frame choices! I wish I had known about them when my hubby got glasses a month ago. We loved the Optometry place but their selections were so similar (not as much variety as Zinff)! I think you’d look super cute in the Cersei style they have! Can’t wait to see your test knits when they are done! 🌸🌻🌼🐞🐝🦋🐌

Seasons in the southeastern US are a mess. I'm in the SC Lowcountry so yeah, I know. Your personality outshines everything (I prefer the darker tortoise shell type? frames). I come for the inspiration for knits but I find I'm just as taken with your spirit, patter and comments on other things.
The sweater your wearing is so cute! I was going to make the shiftigan but maybe I’ll do that one instead

After reading through the comments, we are so sorry for Kaci to lose a subscriber because of us Zinff, really. We can understand everyone has own ideas, and I believe his/her optician feels quite proud of him/her, but no matter he/she believes or not, the frames and lenses sold by most of American glasses stores are from abroad, if she/he own is a glasses wearer, she/he cost much money on the same quality. As one of the other subscribers said, online shopping is unstopped and will be unstopped, globalization is the same. Everyone benefits from globalization, it's not talking big words. Actually this problem is very easy, we can spend much lower price getting the same glasses, why not? Just because you pay money directly to foreigners? Hey guys, don't you realize you are doing international trade? LOL! Anyway, Zinff welcomes EVERY customer! No prejudice, peace and love!😎😎👓👓😘😘🤗🤗

What is that delightful piano piece that starts around the 28min mark? I feel like I have to learn it! Loved the podcast ❤
Your Alpenglow is so beautiful! Shell is my spirit's color 🥰 I would love to understand more about why you chose to extend your yoke and by how much. I really struggle with getting yoked sweaters to fit well (raglan too!) because yoke measurements are so varied. Where on my body should I measure for my yoke, for example! I am on a mission this year to knit the BEST fitting sweaters of my career and I want to hear all your secrets! Love your pod -- and that 70s vibe ❤️

Kaci the new free specks don't suit your face shape. We all need advice when choosing new specks, so this isn't in anyway a mean comment. You asked... They look like windows and are to 'old' looking for your lovely face 👓. Sponsored adds are painful also.

Thanks for sticking out the sponsored content!
I realize that everyone wants a bargain, and that pretty much all eyeglass frames are made abroad. However, by foregoing our local opticians, we are denying our neighbors a livelihood. You give “airtime” to indie dyers, small designers, bag makers, etc., but now have decided to supplement your income by selling for a Korean (probably made in China, but I’m not sure) frame/optical company. This goes counter to my values, so I’m going to have to unsubscribe. I’ll check in a few months down the road to see if the situation has changed.

I give my local neighbor optician $375 every single year just for eye exams. My health insurance doesn’t cover eye exams. So, I think if I could put eyeglasses on the 3 people that wear them in my family for a cheaper price, I definitely will.

I want to know WHERE you think your optician GETS their frames in THEIR shop??? The ones they charge big bucks for??? From overseas. Ask them what their profit margin is. The ONLY thing you get from your local optician that IS local is the exam. Every other part of your glasses package at that local optician comes from overseas...that your optician then overcharges for by several times over. I can see letting them scalp me for ONE pair--remember...we already paid them BIG BUCKS for the exam--but for EVERY pair of glasses we buy??? Exactly how much of their living are we responsible for???

I am very disturbed by the cancel culture that has arisen on social media. Letting everyone know that you choose to cancel your subscription here is an attempt to impose your opinion , and influence others to impose your opinion on others, in response to Kaci's choosing to save money on a necessity. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. But cancelling a subscription, and refusing to watch a channel because someone does something you are not in agreement with would be simply childish if it weren't also dangerous. Any attempt to punish a person for expressing an opinion is an assault on free speech.

I hesitate to jump in here, but we all make choices every day about how our money is spent. If we save (in this case, a lot) in one area, then we may be able to support our local community in another. Signed, Still a Happy Subscriber ❤️
