Seeing how the length of the video mirrors the length of a good song nowadays, this is probably one of the most moving, most poetic songs I've heard. It makes me want to share this with everyone I know and then some but if I do that then my friends and family will find out about my degenerate anime addiction so that's why I'm keeping it to myself. West side story is another really great film about how different cultures often have unfortunate tensions with each other, especially in America. I honestly am a bit torn on whether the original or the remake (which came out last year directed by Steven Spielberg) is better, because obviously there is nothing better than the original but the remake felt a bit more grounded and the dramatic scenes had much more weight to them, it was able to move between tones without it breaking immersion.

As a black man myself this knowledge about you feels interesting to know

12 Years a Slave, Django Unchained, Emancipation, The Woman King. And that's off the top of my head. 12 Years a Slave literally won Best Picture in the Oscars, one of the few films made by a black director to win Best Picture, and that shit (as good as the film is) is literally unfiltered slavery and torture porn.

@@pixelander just because we are all humans does not mean we are all the same. The people of different races are naturally inclined to different things based off culture, environment, and genetics. Denying that fact is undermining the overall state of humanity. Had Lincoln gotten what he wanted, we would not have race riots, or hangings, or as many lynchings. So many atrocities would have been completely avoided, for example. The question isn’t “why?” it should be “why not?” it would have ended in in nobody’s deficit.
