The hyabusa and ZX14r are about good bikes. It all depends on which one is going to suit your likes and dislike. I brought the Hyabusa, but when I looked at the ZX14r and there was nothing I disliked about it. I hope they continue to make both bike. The best choice is to buy a busa, keep it a couple of years, sell it, and get a ZX14r. That way, you will experience the best of both worlds.

It may have more electronics for about $3500 (ouch!) more than the ZX-14, but you have given up 20 hp. You don't have to hold in the clutch on the ZX-14 if its in neutral to start it. ZX-14 has traction control. Cruise control is nice. Maybe being able to use the front brake lever to actuate both brakes is useful as well as "wheelie control," but super sport bikes are bikes that need constant attention and skill when riding. Technology is not a replacement for controlled use of the throttle and brakes as this comes with experience. If you're worried about popping wheelies, and want a sport tourer maybe you should get an FJR 1300 that is more forgiving. I paid $14,500 for my 2021 ZX-14 last summer and wouldn't shell out $4,000 more for technology and less bike. I want to ride a motorcycle not a computer. To each his own. Ride safely my friend

Thank you for your input. It was a tough call between zx14r and hayabusa. Zx14r was cheaper, comfortable, and more power. The hayabusa has been around longer and has more technology in it. All new bikes now a days are going to have more electric stuff in them, compared to 10-12 years ago and even longer ago.

I like the ZX14r, and in my opinion, all of the big bikes are going to offer you a high level of specialized performance. In stock form, the top speed of the ZX14r is the same as the hayabusa. The way I figure it is that on the highway, the most you will be doing on average is 70, and in the city is 30. Therefore, both bikes have more horsepower than anybody will need. My belief is that you never know if a day will come where the tech will save you. The experts build it into the bike for a reason. My car has a lot of safety aids. Sometimes, it's not your lack of skill but the conditions around you. This can be other drivers cutting you off or oil and leaves on the road. Unless I am going to save a million dollars, I don't worry about it. I dont think your choice is wrong because you brought the ZX14r based on personal reasoning. You have what you can afford. Some people drive Lambos, and others drive corvettes it all comes down to likes and dislikes. I find the Gen3 busa to be the best and most complete bike I ever owned. If I did not go for the busa, I would go for the ZX10R. In conclusion, I am sure if I had chosen the ZX14R, I would have been just as satisfied.

I own a 2007 Hayabusa and a 2013 ZX14R. I love both bikes very much. The ZX14R is more comfy because of the more upright seating position. People think the 'busa looks better though. Since the 3rd gen. 'busa is a new bike it is more interesting. You didn't make a mistake buying the Zook, but the Kawi would have been an OK decision also. I own both and they're both real good bikes. Ride safe brother!

Thank you. It was a tough call between the haybusia and zx14r. Like I said in the video, it came down to small things like color chose, more features and that I already own a suzuki. I would of bought the zx14r if it had more to offer. Yes, both are good bikes.

Kudos on your purchase, f*ck all the haters in this comment section, you got the best of the best. I've got the exact same color as you. Real quick tho, open your fuel cap, shine a flashlight down in the fuel cell and look for a scratch in your tanks liner. Alot of these including mine have a scratch in them from the factory when their gas pumps on the assembly line squirt a few ounces of fuel in them to test fire them. Anyways, the fuel nozzle goes in too deep when they are on the line without a builder holding them, then when they flick the switch to pump fuel in them, the nozzle torques and the nozzle then scratches the inside of the tank. Suzuki said they would fix mine with a new tank, and they are, but they aren't starting a global campaign recall yet on the numerous units affected by this unfortunate side effect of the manufacturing process. Prolly cuz the fuel cell is north of $1000 just for the part. Just a friendly heads up for ya from one gen 3 owner to another. So take a peek in that tank and I bet the farm yours is scratched too. You'll be one of the lucky few if it's not 👍
