The 2 types of "evil" are moral malevolence and natural suffering. Morality has NOTHING to do with natural suffering and it's inequality. Free will is meaningless in a proposed afterlife, and that's based on the assumption that free will actually exists. Good without evil cannot be defined, and thus, omnibelevilence is a false concept. Ben's defined God is a fairy tale. Even Ben's version of a Moral Commander is on the hook for natural suffering, which this God can not reconcile.

Amen to that! My argument from the people who don't believe all the time well why is there not miracles why is it that we don't see these things every single day of our lives and how do you believe in something you can't see. I say to them there are miracles every day small ones not the parting of the red sea or great huge miracles when Jesus was on Earth but miracles people surviving disasters, People coming from poverty and abuse and anguish throughout their lives that are successful, Small insignificant miracles everyday the fact that you get up and breathe air and you are alive is a miracle. I love to say that to people quite often. I think that human beings live in a bubble they don't see what's outside that bubble the good the bad and the ugly. As human beings we need to see it all and we have to have a moral compass no matter what our beliefs are we still have to have that compass that guides us to be good human beings. We don't have to be taught to be bad how many people have children nobody taught them how to lie but they still lie. What you do as a parent to sit down and talk about that with your child and how it's not acceptable and the lesson that they have to learn is how you teach them to be good people. We have to be taught to be good

So gods just choosing to let millions of people burn in hell, when they'd gladly have this same conversation with God if he wanted them saved. some people such as myself would not feel like my will to choose is hindered by showing his existence, I could still choose to not be his follower but I am not going to believe this nonsense just cause a cult on earth says its true 🤣🤣 chew on that believers. clearly God can show himself so what's the holdup.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this. - Isaiah 9:6-7 Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. - Isaiah 53:1-6 (This is about Jesus, the Messiah. Therefore, Jesus had to face God's wrath on our behalf, though He went willingly. It shows that the idea of simply being a prophet is nonsense, along with other verses such as Isaiah 9:6.) “I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. - Zechariah 12:10 These are all about Jesus.

I read the book of Job in the Old Testament as a pre-teen, back when I was a devout Protestant Christian. At the end of the book, Job finally gets to talk to god in the whirlwind. God’s answer to all of Job’s questions is basically: “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?” Fundamentalist Christians and Jews have both argued before that if someone doesn’t believe the first verse of the Bible (Genesis 1:1), then those same skeptics are going to have a hard time believing the rest of it. As an atheist, I couldn’t agree more. Judeo-Christian theology is an entire system of thought; and its starting premise is that god created the universe. Why people continue to believe in all of this nonsense is beyond me… “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no god.” ^LOL 😂 Bible = logical fallacy times a million

God doesn't want robots. Robots can't feel any emotions. He wants us to be able to freely choose Him or not. Being a gentleman, He will never force us to do anything against our will. So, when things go wrong, and they will, it's not God's fault. It's yours. You made that choice. Even as Christians, He still gives us total freedom to make decisions. He may shield us from a lot of bad things but He won't shield us from every bad thing in this world. Becoming a Christian doesn't mean He has our world bubble wrapped for our protection. To bring back his soul from the pit to be enlightened with the light of life." The Arizal, one of our holy and eminent sages, wrote books containing the secrets of reincarnation, and described how the souls of humans can be put into the bodies of animals for various temporal atonements, such as serving under someone whom you owe debt to, or being given as a sacrifice within the holy temple. This is relevant because the purpose of this world according to our faith is in uplifting "holy sparks", and enabling God's divine light and presence to dwell within a perfected and uplifted creation, this is why we obey the laws and precepts which God commanded to us. Ultimately, everything is for the sake of unifying the physical and spiritual world, and not to simply pass the test and go to "paradise".

@Jac296 I see your point, I ask tho8gh, am I God to know why those things happen? No. But let me offer you some comfort, with what I believe to understand from a situation like that. Why is there sickness? In my understanding, sickness became a part of the fall by sin. We were created to live and not to die. Yet that later was changed because of the disobedience of our ancestors (Adam) We came from the lineage of sinful humans, not before the fall. Cancer is no different than death itself. Death is the consequence of the action that we as a race committed against God. Cancer, along with any other sickness, can happen to anybody due to genetics, bad eating, irregularities in our system etc, etc. Things that are caused by death, think that from the moment we are conceived in a bigger picture, we are starting to live yet we are starting to die because the older we get the closer we get to dying. God is still in control of the world even if he allowed us to exercise the free will do and to choose him if we want to. But because he set rules out for us, there will also be consequences, and He will judge all of us according to our doing? Now, what did the baby do wrong? Nothing, but his life take away by cancer was merely a consequence of the previous generations. Is God the unfair? No, he will judge the life of that baby and find no fault in it? So in that sense accidental death such that, should be in a sense counted as a blessing too, just as much as living longer. For that person who did not suffer the things of this world, their consciousness was not developed to have sinned against God. Which is that sense my mind rest that God will judge that situation justly. As for the parents? God will work in their hearts according to the plans He has for their lives, which are different than yours and mine.

Ben is truly gifted. i just realized he just answered that question...beautifully, and he didnt utter a single "um" or "uhh" or pause ...or use a wrong word, and have to correct it. AND he speaks at a blistering pace. hes amazing. EDIT: I feel like i should clarify my original comment. I'm athiest but raised catholic. i thought from a religious persons perspective, he answered the question thoughtfully, and correctly. I may not have faith in religion, but i was raised in a religious environment. so i feel like im qualified to comment on the substance of his answer, but thats not at all what i was doing. My original comment was merely referencing his ability to speak his thoughts flawlessly..his pace is pretty amazing too. I wasnt making an assumption about how his speaking ability relates to his IQ, or if his answer was sound from a practical, religious point of view. sorry i wasnt more clear on that. One thing i will say about Ben, is ..he a man of conscience. No matter which answer he gives, its based on his moral code, no agenda. Television personalities, media ...are mostly disingenuous. They speak out of fear, or compensation, or some other motive. There are far too many schills out there....and theyre wreaking havoc on this country. So i respect Ben for that. Conducting ourselves this way, according to our own moral compass, is maligned as conservativism these days. Which is a shame, because right and wrong shouldnt be politicized. The left uses that tactic to bully and influence people. Hopefully one day this nonsense will end so we can focus on our true enemy.

In most religion God do claim that humans are the best of his creation and why is that what do we have that others dont? Free will! And thats is why we will be judged cause we made these choices on our own. And again according to many religions everyone will be judged or punished or rewarded according to the opportunity or surroundings they were in.

There is more truth to it as well. The fact is even the bad things matter. It hurts but it is good. Even in times which we can not understand. Ask the mother of a stillborn child her feelings on truth. And consider how much a life which never even breathed could change the face of the earth forever. Then lastly the memory of Satan. He was perfect before he sinned. All he understands is his own perspective. And is forever stuck in what some may call a curse. This is how we are greater than Satan and more loved by God. We are closer to him as the ability to be imperfect is also our salvation. A perfect evil can never change, luckily we are not perfect and therefore can potentially overcome the impossibility of accepting that we are not God in our decisions and thoughts. In other words our ego is like a demon which needs to be rebuked in order to even be brought into the light.

Been asking this question for a long time, still can't wrap my head around it when we're supposed to be loved. The only answer that I could come up with that makes sense in a religious standpoint I suppose is that regadless of what happens to us here, in the now, no matter how bad we suffer, once we die all suffering ends and God will pick us up on the other side, assuming we stood firm in our beliefs of him while we were here. Kind of like even if a baby dies, obviously it's fucking tragic and painful to even consider, but that baby just got a free ticket to the *best* place any of us could possibly go in the afterlife. That's really the only comforting thought I can think of to combat the complete lunacy of the world we're living in right now.

Then, tradgedy and turmoil ensued and my life completely fell apart. Eventually I was shown God's existence through various NDEs and suffering. When I'd get through the suffering, I'd always be better off and look back and not only not see the suffering as "bad", but actually appreciate it and udderstand its necessity. I began to welcome suffering bc I saw it as stepping stones to get me where I'm supposed to be. We just live in a world of duality and can't have good without bad, it literally just could not exist. We're also strengthened by difficulty and it's up to us to find the lesson. The longer we take to learn it, the longer we suffer.

Suffering is of the Devil and God is always trying to stop it, never forget that!

I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home and I felt the presence of the Lord, come down to me from above. It was as real as anything and I felt so comfortable with Him. I knew if I asked Him to play a song on the radio, He would. So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are..." I didn't know what station it was on or anything, but I turned the radio on and the song started playing right on the spot, perfectly... I started getting flooded with chills inside, trembling, and crying tears of joy. When I got home, He stayed with me for 10 minutes till I got out of the car. I've been getting amazing prayers answered for around 5 years since, because that experience made me stop doubting when I pray, and I follow Biblical instructions, best I can.

I mainly quit drinking and all that 8 and a half years ago, and other people have been a part of my prayers plenty of times There have been 3 people at one church I used to go too, who had stage 4 cancer and the church prays for them and they've been healed over night. I had a woman call me not too long ago and she told me she was healed from schizophrenia after I prayed for her a long time ago. We had a deaf woman at my other church who was healed by church prayer and can hear. Last year, I told a co-worker 2 stories and asked if I could pray for him and he said yeah. I grabbed his hands and prayed for his family, finances, and things. I came to work 4 days later. He said he had gotten promoted to GM Manager over a bunch of different stores. Getting paid from 900 to 1600, max tips on reg, and his wife was getting insane overtime money. I mentioned that we prayed and he looked at me like he saw a ghost.

Actually, that’s what the world teaches you, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. When stuff happens, you’re meant to call out to God, and He will answer. You might not always realise it, but that time you called out when you were hurt or in pain, God was the reason you didn’t have it 100x worse than it could have been, or even die. He’s there my friend, and He’s waiting to actually have a relationship with you.

Second, if God doesn't stop natural suffering because he wants to obscure himself, why was there suffering before humans existed (for example, at the time of dinosaurs)?

I know you said this is what you needed to hear but unfortunately for you your Bible says the opposite.according to the Bible you are lying. It says specifically that God knows every hair on everyone's head. He has named and knows the grains of sand on every World. It says that he knew you before you were even born. And it says he knows the hearts and minds of men. So yes there is no such thing as free will according to the Bible. Also all of God's prophecies in the Bible should be thrown out if he cannot foresee the future. Which he adamantly admits to being able to do. Then when Ben Shapiro said that God if he showed himself to people would allow for no room for Faith. That's been disproven by the Bible as well because Satan knew God full well in the Bible and decided to do what he wanted anyway so there goes that bullshit excused. Your own holy book destroys your arguments.

@charmed0009 here's the problem with what you're saying. Sometimes God does things that God himself deemed immoral. Stealing killing and destroying being a few. So if God is going to teach us that stealing killing and destroying is evil and then he perpetrate that evil what does he expect us conclude? That would be like me telling my kids that bringing harm to any living being is evil. Then I walk outside and start shooting birds out of the trees with a rifle. Thus my children would believe that I'm evil. Because I'm doing the evil thing I said evil people do.

Also, "if god made us angels, we would have no free-wil" I would rather be an angel than live in a world of free-will where I can fall on the path that will lead me to eternal hell.
