Why Everyone Wants to Eat this Corpse - SCP-1176 (SCP Animation)

Фильм және анимация

SCP 1176 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Mellified Man.
SCP-1176 is the mummified corpse of a human male, presumed to have been approximately 35 years of age at the time of death.
In the place of all bodily fluids that would be found in a living human being, SCP1176 contains a fluid of viscous consistency and golden color, designated SCP-1176-1. Testing of SCP-1176-1 has found it to be chemically identical to clover honey produced by the Anatolian honey bee.
SCP-1176-1 has been determined to be edible by human beings possessing an AB+ blood type, and possesses properties consistent with a highly concentrated nutritional supplement.

I think the idea of the SCP's is that there isnt necessarily a reason for them to exist. Nothing happened to SCP-3008 to make it into the infinite IKEA it was just an anomaly that happened. Same with this, there could be a reason for its existence like with the Gate Guardian, but it's more likely that it's just an anomaly that occured, created by itself

The first few sources referred to it as legendary, it said that it started as an Arabic recipe, but the Chinese picked it up, which makes sense given their weird medicines. Did u read if they found any archaeological evidence that it was ever actually done? I was thinking the reason it might be referred to as legendary by some sources, might be because they've not found proof it was ever actually done, just written about.

People are recorded consenting to this procedure when they were dying of old age already, and hoped to use their last acts for something.
