Edward Hill This is exactly why we have laws in our constitutions asserting the right of the people to decide for themselves who & how to worship, & to speak freely, among other inalienable rights. It is because we recognize these basic human rights that we have a major Abrahamic religion in the West that doesn’t take over & whole cultures & nations the way Islam does in the Middle East. You need only look over to that part of the world or a little into history to see what happens when one religion is allowed to influence government & law.

Exodus 21 an example of this would be for example if your Jewish u serve 6 years as a slave and released on the 7th year. Know if he the slave comes withing the slavery single then they go out single if the master gives him wife and child for example then he would have to leave his wife and child to go free 9r he could give up his freedom and stay a slave to keep his family. Further references are that if the master beats his slave to death then the master will be punished but if the slave survives then he won't be punished

I was serving as humanitarian worker during Lebanon war 2006 and as a Christian I really struggle about Christians must support Israel. A bomb was dropped by Israel 200 meter from me while I was distributing relief goods for Lebanese coming across to Syria then. I also know there are Christian humanitarian workers struggle with this issue. Now that I worked more with Christian of different denominations outside of the influence of US churches in different countries in South and East Asia and I realised this is not so and this video just confirmed it is just a US evangelical thing.

I don't disagree but the most reasonable perspective on the Israel/Palestine conflict is one that doesn't take sides at all. In the first couple decades of this conflict, we can look back and see that Israelis were a bit more at fault than Arabs (but Arab nationalism was also an vs incredibly inflexible ideology and shares some blame.) But at this point? Things have changed. The balance of power and the moral balance have both shifted quite a bit. I question anyone who sees either side as totally "in the right"

@@messianic_scam No, that's false. Take a look at Catholicism and Orthodox Christisnity. Both are very different, especially in Russia or Greece or Abyssinia or Egypt. Different traditions, prayers, views on idolatry, lying, etc.

Trying to artificially kickstart the endtimes is not only absurdly egotistical, in that it means you think humans can engineer the acts of God, it also shows how little faith they actually have. That they have to force the prophecies to happen instead of just letting it happen means you really don't think much of God's word in terms of what's going to happen after all.

Satisfactory Bagelfreund That's exactly the issue with their mindset I have a problem with. Well, there are a few, but that's a primary one. If an event is prophesied to happen, God shouldn't need you acting on his behalf to make it happen. It's supposed to just happen naturally on it's own. To think you have to make it happen shows that you don't find the prophecy credible enough on it's own, not to mention it also means you're trying to manipulate god's will to your own ends, which is egotistical at best and potentially blasphemous at worst.

All I can say is that i've visited Israel, travelled through Jerusalem , the west bank, all of it, and I never experienced the kind of hospitality I got in Palestinian run accommodations. I remember staying in Bethlehem, and saying happy birthday to a friend on the trip in the lobby that morning, when we got home in the evening for dinner the owner took a huge birthday cake out during dinner - he had heard me say happy birthday and literally went out and bought a cake for us! It was that level of just human compassion. Seeing bomb debris, signs strung up in the west bank with missing peoples faces on them and details of how these people were tortured and murdered, with the only justice their families can hope to get is to canvas this info and hope that somebody sees it. Broke my heart. You see all this, and in amongst it the Palestinian people doing day to day things, people shopping, kids playing. Just the resilience was like nothing ive ever seen.

As a devout Christian myself, it's very painful to see Evangelicals butchered The Revelation to Apostle John so grossly to apply it to their beliefs and agenda. I definitely cringed hard by the time he mentioned Russia, Iran, Turkey, and especially Ethiopia. The Revelation is never been taught in most of the history of Christianity to be taken as a "doomsday code", but a good news of hope for Christians in particular.

As a Mexican, I can tell you: This is not only happening in the USA, this also happens in Mexico (And in other places) with their Evangelicals... As I was raised Evangelical in Mexico I can tell you, Evangelicas see Israel as "God homeland". And because they are the "chosen people" you also must love Israel. Israel (With are respect) is far from my country and my country is more related to Lebanon (We had some influential Lebanese Inmigration) So I don't see the need to see Israel as "my second fatherland". The funny thing is that they blame Catholics for "Worship" a pope in the Vatican. But no one in Mexico see the Vatican City as their second homeland. Yes, is an "Holy Site" but is not like a second fatherland. I see myself as a Christian (With no denomination), but I am sick of what people do in the Middle East in name of God. And yep, Evangelicals doesn't represent all Christians...

​@@EqualityforAllHumansNow Catholics do not consider protestants to be Christian, rather to be a heretical movement. Plus, Catholicism has much leaned on a more modernist and liberal side this 21st century, making some Catholics to be progressive who are against the bad things.

It's so weird to me that this docu, and the issue / fact of American evangelicals is more relevant today than ever before. But almost none of the analysts, youtubers, news orgs etc etc that are following the conflict are mentioning them or even aware. There are some channels that all what they do is talk about Israel / Palestine and they keep asking "why does America support Israel so unconditionally" .. some attribute it rightfully to groups like AIPAC and the enormous influence wealthy zionists have and how they use that influence to back Israel but don't see the bigger picture. Others straight up believe that it's in America's "naked self interest" like every American politician says. Or it's the gas deposits they found in Gaza.. One channel I recently watched went the "self interest route" a leftist pro Palestine channel. But the guy didn't grasp that .. there is literally ZERO net benefit for US in supporting Israel. In fact it's detrimental to their image, their relationships with dozens of countries, their credibility, their economy and security. And that the "it's in America's interest" line is a talking point that groups like AIPAC spread. That politicians parrot it for campaign funds, support in other ways and of course so the lobby groups don't go and fund their opponents.

because people are ignorant especially if they are on the left. most leftists think that all republican politicians support Trump which is not true there are alot in the party who hate Trump and they disagree on many other things so of course they don't know about this. they think every republican also agrees with this simply because they are religious but that is not true either there are alot of politicians especially newer ones who do not want to go along with this. there is also the possibility that the america likes to have an ally with alot of military equipment right near a bunch of not so friendly countries

I'm an ex-Christian and I'm sick of hearing these close-minded Christians who's all talk without even knowing the suffering of Palestinians for decades under the occupation of Israel! Really, they're happy with Jewish people suffering as well as Palestinians, given that they only support Israel because they believe that Jesus will kill Jewish people there. If Palestinians (including Jewish Palestinians) suffer in that time, that's apparently perfectly fine for evangelicals.

So that's the first kind of moment when Religious people following any kind of Holy texts should stop and think. The reason the bible "Speaks" about the UN is because it is interpreted by humans who live at a time where the UN exists, and like ALL holy texts, it was written by men on earth, and therefore isn't holy in any way, it's human, it's as holy as a jar of fucking Mayonnaise.
