    When I was a real woke leftie, I cut off all my hair, wore no makeup and dressed like a 10 year old boy. At the time I was recovering from a sexual assault, and wanted nothing to do with my femininity. I wanted to look undesirable to men, though I didn't realize that's what I was doing at the time. That’s so sad 🥺 I’m so sorry you went through that ❤️‍🩹 Honestly I think there are just bad people out there who will do bad things regardless of what you look like. I’ve been stalked twice in the same day by two complete different men and I wasn’t wearing anything typically considered feminine. I had a long winter coat that went to my knees and riding boots that went up to my knees. I was completely covered and still I was stalked by these creeps. I am also rather short and often people think I am younger than I am, so that also made me think there’s a possibility these two men might’ve thought I was a child .. which makes me even more sick to think about 🤢

    I get why in some places being shaved would be seen as more respectful. Since we grow up with the idea that a woman without body hair is more beautiful, elegant, we are conditioned to associating no hair with femininity. People can get really confused or even angry or think it is “unhygenic” or ugly if someone does something that falls outside the norm. It’s just a bit sad that it is expected and seen as unrespectful if a woman would just prefer not to shave. I feel like there’s more important conventions of respect than wether someone is shaved or not. It shouldn’t be anyone’s business.

It just attracted a different type of man. I seemed to attract artsier men. Which honestly, I didn't mind. Once I noticed as my hair grew out that I was almost completely grey, I decided to experiment with hair colors I had always wanted to because I wasn't allowed to when I was a teenager or jobs I worked. I tried every color in the rainbow! I had so much fun doing it, & experimenting with colors & outfits! I did genuinely do that for me. And I will never allow anyone to take that away or try to convince me that I did it for others. That one was for me. Then again I'm a Millennial & this conversation is about Gen Z. So I'll just exit, cuz this doesn't apply to me. 😂😂😂

    I second this experience and actually also shaved my head around the same time . My reasoning was different however , i shaved mine cause I had been experimenting with my hair color since i was a pre teen and just wanted to make a drastic change. My hair grows extremely slow, and I was tired of fighting and trying to have long hair when it was taking 5 years to just get to shoulder length. I was tired of the maintenance, I’m terrible at styling it , and it always being ruined after I dyed it. I still get approached by men and some thing I get a lot is “I’m not usually into women with short hair, but it looks good on you” well, that’s totally fine but I’m not doing it for them so it doesn’t really matter LOL i have some wigs for when i feel like it on rare occasion. Nowadays i keep my hair styled similar to amber rose. It’s so relieving to not have to worry about it or spend any extra money on hair products and maintenance and then change it up whenever I’m bored! Making these changes are fun and freeing and that’s the biggest point people seem to be missing and not even bringing up.

    Of course they can dress as they want, but with the massive social contagion that the left has been pushing, it's not a stretch to say that many kids who are lonely or confused get pushed towards the alphabet ideology, start going by a different name, think they're trans, and because of all the positive feedback they get, decide to commit and go on hormone therapy or get surgery. I mean, there is a reason why the left is pushing to make it so schools can transition kids without notifying the parents. And while yes, trans surgery is expensive, it's for some unbelievable reason covered by insurance! Look at the growing number of people who regret transitioning and you'll hear story after story confirming that they were pushed towards being trans, loved the positive attention, and went along with it. Why? Because they're KIDS, and kids don't make good decisions.

You couldn’t call yourself goth and not like associated genres. The subculture has always been welcoming to these weird people. I’ve always avoided them because I thought they were just really f-ing weird and needed to seek help. I believe in the freedom of choice and stuff but I can think that someone can be using it in a shitty way. the dress for yourself section is exactly what i've been thinking for so long, like i saw a story where a young girl was going to the gym in leggings and a crop top and the woman reacting said "she needs to dress for herself not for men, she should know men will sexualize her" when i bet she was probably dressing for herself in the first place, without men in mind. also made me upset because when i was sexually assaulted i was wearing sweatpants and a baggy shirt- i actually specifically hated how my body looked in those clothes- it was the middle of the day and i was in a "safe" neighborhood. i did everything people want girls to do to stay "safe" and that shit still happens. on top of that my hair was a mess and he grabbed me from behind so he couldn't see my face, so it couldn't have been if i was "pretty." also these woke "alt" ppl aren't better than any other girl for making themselves look ugly

    As a alt/goth kid in the late 90s, I apologize in advance. I didn't know woke gen z would steal the foundation of our fashion to make themselves ugly and unfeminine. I'm bias but I think we looked feminine back then, like a feminine goth, and put together, but now they are blur together into these blobs and looks the same. I've been dressing the same since 2000 and I hate that people assume I'm a woke TikToker with mastectomy scars. I hate it. I don't wanna switch to look "normal" but I hate being lumped with them ugh. PS: I dressed this way for me, I have tatts piercings and I can dress down for work and dress up for me, and dating was fine, men who were into the music subculture I liked, liked me and accepted me for me. These women are still shaping their choices around men.

Every time I see a black person in any business, my first assumption is that he's a diversity hire who is completely unqualified, no matter how simple the job. Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10, my assumption is correct. At least you can choose what you wear. I feel bad for competent blacks who have to compete with hordes of unqualified retards, and who will never fully get over the feeling that they don't deserve what they have

    Yes wear what you like, dress how you want, be yourself. But to say they're ugly for dressing alternate, makes you the ugly person, as it's their personality that's ugly. I love my tattoo's, my nose piercing, ear piercings, I love having dyed pink hair, had blue ect, I love mixing natural colour with unnatural hair colour, I love wearing emo/goth/alt clothes I'm like over 25. I don't care who wants to date me, or doesn't. We all have preferences. I'm not attracted to overly traditional men or women, either we don't vibe or I just find them attractive. Work uniform is fine, but you should be hired regardless of tattoo's, piercings, hair colour. If you look clean, tidy and you're polite, good at your job. It should not be a problem. But this is why you should find workplace that fits you. And yes men go abroad for women who are "submissive" and "obedient", "virgin", we literally, see men posting that men want asian, submissive women less educated. That is how a lot of men, not all, speak about them, scaringly a lot. Unfortunately for those losers, women "abroad" are not like that. A lot of women are independent, strong, but a lot of men stereotype what they assume a woman abroad is. And, that should be called out not normalized as "oh men aren't doing that", not all but, a lot. Like, it's true. I'm chill, if you respect me I respect you but idk I'm a millenial lmao.

  • @CentaurHooves

    @CentaurHooves

    6 ай бұрын

    @@lillyfoote8872 I understand. But that's where the problem is - people on the internet. Then there are people like her, who will see one such video where someone can't behave and will have the same opinion about all similar people. I'm at an art school, it's a place where you can really express yourself and no one will look at you weird (the people stereotypical society calls "normal" are at art schools "strange" or "unusual"), simply artists. Yes, they are exactly people like the ones in the video, all rainbow, lovers of body art, piercings, tattoos, collars, very rich music and no one is the same. But I have never experienced anything like arrogant or inappropriate behavior. Of course, there are a few arrogant individuals there, but it's about the same as any other school or workplace (there's someone everywhere). For example, individuals in the field of painting are very quiet, sophisticated, elegant. You know who is who, although it is difficult to distinguish sculptors from restorers. Most yelled or the ones who don't know how to behave and are rude in general are mostly geotechnicians and architects. And the funniest fact is that these two fields are full of people that stereotypical society would call "normal". Restorers, painters and sculptors are labeled as weird or rude just because we express ourselves outwardly and show who we really are (what I've found over the years is that most artists are depressed or anxious inside). But at the same time, we are the quiet and shy friendly ones who accept everyone and everything. Geotechnicians and architects are the ones who outwardly express themselves as "decent" and "normal" because they look like that according to stereotypes. They are not as aggressive and hectic in their outfits as the other three. On the contrary, they wear jeans or t-shirts, which you usually see everywhere, they don't wear tons of different colors that you almost don't even know exist, and they simply don't buy second-hand clothes to be "original". But they are rotten inside. They shout, they make a mess, they make a nuisance, they are the most reported damage when it comes to student dormitory apartments. One teacher even declared that they were not artists (but they are in art school). This was the case only at our school. And of course I'm not just at school, I like to go out, I see how people behave there, honestly most of them are just on the outside they look like the decent ones who know how to behave, but then at midnight you hear them screaming and yelling from the park. Most people in ties, from offices or those in "high-paying-positions", are very arrogant. For example, I personally have never (ever) met a dentist, doctor or psychologist who was not arrogant. Sometimes it's important to look deeper, not just on the outside. Also, people on the internet often just want to show off and "I'm better, look how cool I am, I'M GOING TO SHOUT IT TO THE WHOLE WORLD", then the whole artist community looks like idiots, arrogant outcasts who don't know how to behave and are rude, just because of few people on the internet.

    Tomboy is a word for masculine women, the words I've heard for androgynous women are tomgirl/lady. Also, I don't fully agree because this can also be taken too far to the point where androgynous is the only acceptable and empowering role just like tomboy. If someone is mostly feminine it's fine as long as they know the skills necessary for a living (self defense, boundaries, analytical thinking which are sadly considered masculine). Same with its opposite (expression of feelings, passivity in some cases etc. which are sadly considered feminine). I think things like a taste for fashion, doing garage work, cooking or wars depends on the individual's personal needs and preference which will not line up with everyone.

    beauty or ugliness is not 100% relative. Of course there would be things that I, from my perspective, THINK are beautiful, while there will be other people who think they are not. However, this factor does not erase the existence of standards in our society, these same standards that are not always bad. If you don't prefer to have a relationship with someone who is fat/obese, that's fine, and if the fact that the person is fat is an incentive for you to like them (despite it being strange), that's fine too. People have preferences, and just as sexuality is important in determining what type of person you will attract/be with, physical and other factors are also important. But if many of these factors are superficial in your opinion, and for you, they are not important, that is, you don't care if the person is fat, thin, white, black, blonde, brunette, ok. The truth is that no one is without some preference/incentive to be with someone, there will always be something about someone that you don't like or you will be disinterested too. So that's ok judging people, bc we do it ALL day, EVERY DAY.

    A lot of people dress to repel men because it brings them inner comfort and peace to not have men lust over them. Even if you dress for yourself in todays society there will be men that sexualize you so these women go out of their way to repel them for their own well being, which is also a valid reason to pick a style for yourself. In an ideal world women wouldn’t have to worry about men but sadly we do, we need to decide whether or not we will allow the unwanted attention or not.
