i’m sorry if at some point of this video I was coming off as slightly rude, I must tell you that as someone who grew up with grandparents teaching me how food had to be respected, these videos really touched me and I simply got frustrated. IKR. I do travel the world and there are people living in underprivileged countries . Kids on the streets , kids not having access to basic needs( I saw this with my on eyes). People struggling to get water in some of the poorest nations in the world. They are lucky to even have the basic needs items like food and live in a privileged contruy( Americia, my country).

The same values regarding food are taught in Filipino homes too. We are taught to finish everything we prepared so there are no leftovers and nothing will get spoiled. Throwing out food is incredibly disgraceful and is believed to bring you bad karma. To Filipinos who are living under the poverty line, this value at least gets us through our daily lives, and these food waste videos made by privileged people from rich countries is downright insulting and shameful.

I don't know how it feels to go hungry, mostly because my family works day in and day out to make sure us kids have food on the table. The only people who deserve to be hungry is them. They must learn that food is something really important that all of us need. And when they lose it. They will finally understand to respect it.

.....I really don't know what to say. Whenever I see this content of people wasting food I always think of the poor. Some people would literally die for food.

I'm 17, and I used to work as a cook at my local restaurant. The amount of food waste a day can feed a whole family even though it doesn't look appetizing it still taste good and safe to eat... It disgusting seeing people with that much privileges wasting so much food without caring the world. Even though I never saw starvation with my own eyes. I've once saw a mom of two eating at restaurant I used to work at not having enough money to buy foods for the three of them but mom's love is something you can't buy. She sitting there watching her children eat as I could've help but didn't. I always asking myself why am I just stood there doing nothing... It's more disgusting when there is people out there defending this kind of "influencer". YES, defending people who wasted food for this idiotic content while there is people who are starving. They would says something like "it's theirs money who care😒". I CARE, let me repeat myself I CARE and if you one of the people who are defending this kind of behaviour. Let me asks you something, "would you rather selling your foods to someone who is gonna waste it or would gonna sell it to someone who are starving?" Remember it's not about the money it's about the resources and this kind of influencer are wasting it.

Im a kid and this is very upsetting and overwhelming

he (topper) is literally the same as my little brother's friend who used to play with his food making mess which disgusted me so much I had to tell my parents not to sit with him because of his weird actions but they hit me with their classic "he's just a kid" phrase. Whenever I look at this dude, he reminds me of my brother's friend. It's been a while since I saw him and I hope he has changed over the years.

As a person who's previous generation could barely afford food if the kids don't work too, I just think of how much blessings would they get if they just donated half of what they just wasted We treat food as a gift and privilege and could never think of wasting it unless it's no longer edible It hurts me to watch this but well i guess people find this entertaining

I grew up in a Malaysian household and my grandfather always talks about the story were during his younger days (took place in WW2) he and his family had a hard time planting vegetables and earning money to provide food for 10 ppl in a tiny house, that's why he always taught my family to always be grateful for the food you had and never to waste such blessing moments. While I was watching this my grandfather passed by saw this video and the disappointment in his eyes when he sees that and said "What's wrong with ppl nowadays?"

I'm so disgusted by what they're doing, the toilet part is the worst.

I am an Asian and I was taught to not waste food. There are people working off their bodies just to get food. It's so disrespectful to waste food.

I've grown up in a pretty wealthy family in our country. My parents also had a comfortable upbringing. But they still taught me to respect food and to eat well. Till today, the thought of wasting food disgusts me. If I have food in front of me, the possibility that any of it would be thrown away when it's still edible is zero.

Crazy Rich Asian kids were taught that other people are poor and starving, so be happy. The thought that other children are hungry made them feel special and grateful to God for making them blessed.

I am a Muslim and today is ramadan and i am fasting, I know how it feels to live without food, and the people who are doing this and disrespecting food needs to be stopped!

I'm South Asian, and Asian culture encourages conservation. When I first came to America, I volunteered at a children's school. The teachers would give the kids a tray of food, and sometimes the trays would be left untouched by the kids. I brought a teacher an untouched tray of food one day, and informed her that the food is good and hasn't been spoiled. She literally took the food, and without a word put the entire content of the tray straight into trash. It blew my mind, this disregard for food here. Americans have no discipline with their food. Not only food, I've seen people throw books into trash because they were moving and they didn't want to travel with the books. It just amazed me how this person never thought about maybe donating it to the school library, he just straight up trashed those books.

My parents, specially my mom, endured tons of struggles in life. The one thing she is proud of, and tells me quite often about how emotional this makes her feel, is that even though we had to sacrifice a lot of things because of money, we NEVER starved or skipped meals. We wouldn't have fancy things such as desserts, birthday parties and toys, and she had to skip meals herself because of late night shifts, but she handled her role as a supportive mother feeding her 3 kids, even though she raised us alone for a couple of years too. She is awesome and I can't thank her enough, I am the young man I am today all thanks to her. With that being said, these videos hit me as meanspirited or aggressive, it is so sad to see this cruelty being done with the intentions of reaching fame, and even then it is only a futile attempt at that.

I don’t get competitive food eaters either… it’s wasteful. They don’t need the calories. It’s weird.

This is literally the main reason I lost 99% of my braincells... People are taught to not waste food, that it is really had to get for alot of people in the world and these guys are literally flushing it down the drain.
