World's Largest Lemon Battery
Ғылым және технология
I was challenged by VW to make electricity to support their electric Supercar at Pike's Peak. The CRUSHED the course record by 15 seconds in the race. I got a little help from William Osman and some kids and without hurting any feelings one was better than the other.
Check out William's video here: • How Much Electricity C...
The battery used to store and deliver the lemon, zipline, and solar power is a Mobi Gen built by FreeWire Technologies.

Summary: I was challenged to charge VW's electric supercar for the upcoming Pike's Peak race. I first built a lemon battery with William Osman. Then we tried a regenerative zipline. Then we tried solar power with a twist.

instead of teaching highschool, he could open a "science exploration group".....it was brilliant to let the kids come up with ideas, bash those around until they decided which one would be best, and then make it....there's already a similar group in Grand Rapids Mich: the National Science Institute... Mark could start a similar sort of foundation in California...

crossing two states by only losing 85% thats a good battery though given that the direct air route is 766 miles (from center to center) and the shortest route by car i botherd to google is 1183 miles. So by taking that numbers and checking what the best range of any E-car is we get (around 260) we can do the horrible thing called math(though its only dividing) and see an e-car would need close to 3 full charges (2,946......) if it could travel the air route and 4,55 via normal route. Now if we take the battery and say it only needs 0,85 charges to travel those distances we get an maximum range of 901,17 Miles via Air route and a whopping 1309,4 miles on the street route that makes it 3.4 times more efficent on air route and 5 time more efficent on street route then a normal e-car not that bad honestly though the car will get you there faster and more comfortable

Anyone gonna acknowledge the actual loss in power on the zipline XD.... because your using a motor to bring it back to the top..... like lmfao ...... your using more force/power to get it to the top... then you get from them going down... yet... still a great video and another sweet NASA rover behind the scenes moment

I encountered a similar problem in astroneer, i was trying to avoid getting lithium (even thought i was on novus and there was lithium there but i'm just lazy) by making dozens of small batterys instead of a medium battery and it turns out may array of small batterys could only hold 640 U's of power compared to the 1024 U's of power that 2 medium batterys could hold and would have been easier to make.
Did not expect to see Hafthor in a Mark Rober video, but there we go! :)
We’ve done it... We found the guy from our math textbooks.

For like 10 years I have been trying to figure out this book I read when I was a kid. I only remember it had a helicopter pilot and a super cool helicopter. Who knew a former NASA engineer making a lemon battery would give me the answer by wearing his Airwolf t-shirt. Now I am disappointed there was a whole tv series that my parents and sister's hid from me!
The method is great. Very useful for the children
