WHY DO PEOPLE CLIMB MOUNTAINS? (On dirt bikes)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A. Because they are there! :)
This day Joel & I found a Hard Enduro practice track & set about getting to the top. It was a long hard grind with dry loose dirt at the switchbacks near the top, but we got there...
OK for a pair of Muppet level riders.

Epic. Good stuff, looked like hard work, reckon I would have been calling for a chopper to fly me out after having a hearty.

Yeah, it's certainly not going to be on a regular loop for us 🤣 I do have an EPIRB in my backpack, it was starting to look like getting some use 🙂👍

Awesome vids. looks very familiar to some areas we have started riding. Think we have followed a couple of your loops.👌

Thanks for checking them out. Yeah, lots of good stuff in our areas. We've been adding a few of our own over the years too 👍

Nice riding and tricky terrain !My big old TE450 would stall out a lot on. that. The 300sef in front seemed not too bad though,oh and your 2T sherco runs really smooth 😀

Thanks for the message. It was certainly a challenge, and tuning the jetting is very important for this low throttle stuff 🙂👍 Both bikes are 2t 300s, Joel's is the 2018, mine is the 21. A little confusing in the vision, as I swapped bikes a couple of times to assist Joel 👍

You know it's a good climb when the tow strap come out. Might be able to ride up that without assistance if there was some moisture in the ground for traction. I noticed you were in the hot map for the last part of the climb.

Definitely a workout with the dry dirt and loose gravel, could certainly have used a little moisture 😁 That said, the Tubliss on my bike at 2psi had way more traction than the other bike on the same tyre at 9psi and HD tube. The map switch is always on Angry, I don't use it 👍 I just use the throttle to control the engine. (Only time I ever really turn it to Sad is very late in a ride if we come across a rocky creek and my hands are too tired to smooth out the throttle in the rough 👍

Yes, a little moisture would have may it ridable for sure. Tubliss at 2psi was great except for the deep dry sections. Always in the hot map, no point to the low map, I almost never use it. I just use the throttle for engine control, and

Awesome stuff mate. Looks like some nice techy hills there. You still liking the pipe? Was thinking about getting one for my 23

Thanks mate. Yes that hill was a but of a challenge at 56 😁👍 Pipe is good, got a couple of dings in it, but still seems to pull OK and haven't noticed a drop in the power. For the money, I don't think you can go wrong.
