Not only to other 200 nations, the moon belongs to other planets, the Sun and the whole Universe. As Palki rightly mentioned, the moon is there for a reason. Truman meant successful test in Alamogordo of the first A-bomb on July 16 1945. What Truman didn't know that Stalin already knew not only about " Trinity " test, but also estimated power of explosion and principles on which A-bomb worked. Intelligence was obtained from first wife of Robert Oppenheimer, from Enrico Fermi, Niels Bohr and many scientists, involved in "Manhattan Project" in US and Great Britain. During 1950s US and USSR planned to make a nuclear bombardments not only of the Moon surface, but also Antarctica continent. This paranoia ended with collapse of the USSR in 1991.

Yes! It will definitely be equally absurd! 👍🏼 The moon even belongs to other planets, the Sun and the whole Universe, but not just us. As Palki rightly mentioned, the moon is there for a reason. It is in tandem or in alignment with a whole lot of things (which we still don't understand). One moon disturbed (whether ours or any other's) will disturb a lot. Or may even disturb every damn thing. Unimaginable! 🤔

Brilliantly researched and narrated story. A story of the dichotomy of the human mind that can bend to either good or evil. Evil (and stupidity) was being planned here both by the US and the USSR. Thankfully, human kind's better angels (and smarter angels) prevailed in both cases.
