    I had a friend at the FedResBank of St. Louis who nearly lost his career because a woman in our department "thought that he was talking about her" (not even to her...about her). Our two female Vice Presidents raked him over the coals and made him beg to keep his job.

    Same. Not at work... not harassment...just a scorned POS that decided to "get even" for me informing her fu** friends that she had herpes. She claimed I tried to run her off the road and chased her for miles. I sat in remand and lost my vehicle, home, dog, job, clothing, furniture, guitars, and reputation. She was proved to be lying about EVERYTHING. The not guilty verdict meant nothing....and she was never charged for lying or perjury. NOTHING.

    Was a male nurse for 33 years. Half of nurses are already out of the profession five years after graduation. Worked in an all female department (besides me) for 17 years - the woman that I replaced in the department said, "I won't work with the bitches in that department ever again." I had to file an EEO complaint against my female boss after being at that facility for 24 years in order for her to leave me alone - I ended up in a better area with a different boss. Finally, over the years I had two separate (female) nurse co-workers tell me, "You know, you take a lot of heat for their husband's and boyfriends." as to how I was often treated by my female "co-workers".

    In regards to Candice Owen, I retired from a major automobile manufacturing plant after working there for 25 years. Our yearly, mandatory Human Relations training included, in writing, that if a man held eye-contact with a female coworker in excess of 3 seconds, that could be, and would be considered sexual harassment. Hand to God, that is the truth. Women have ruined everything they have involved themselves in.

In the end, there was no answer to how to treat them that they would feel 'comfortable'. You couldn't give them TOO MUCH ATTENTION or TOO LITTLE ATTENTION, because either way, they were going to be offended. He went to his different-color colleagues after and asked if they felt any sort of way before this ridiculous training and if he ever offended them in any way and they all said they would be offended if they treated them differently than others. I have been hiring staff for the best part of 25 years. The aspect nobody wants to admit or talk about is in the majority of cases, women are lazier than men. When we are pushed on deadlines, and i ask the males for that extra mile, they do it. With females, about 10% do it without fuss. Most of the others are not team players. It has been like this for a very long time but it is a lot worse now. Now there is all the other complications that everyone knows about. My advise is don't hire women, unless you have an extraordinary reason to. They will mostly let you down.

The employee was getting executive wages and was productive while she was there at work but the boss offered to put her on hourly wage or offered for her to work from home during her "time" she refused both offers in writing and she sued him for sexual harassment instead and it was heard by a female judge and he lost. @@aaronrobertson6121 Its the same concept in my country (Portugal), but i actually have to agree with the previous poster. The minimum should TRULY be zero! And here's why, and you can witness this for yourself in NZ as well. There is no competition at the bottom, NONE! Every business owner knows that the absolute minimum they will ever be forced to pay, is the same fixed amount that every other business has to deal with, so they all (seriously, i'm talking >90%) aim at that absolute minimum, as long as they have no significant competition, which they don't have, as the real reason is.....the competition IS DOING THE SAME EXACT THING, so none of them has to compete for their non-specialized human actives, which is also why so many people feel they are treated as a number, or a mere cog in the machine, instead of a human being...because they are! If there were no minimum wages established, every company would be forced to "fight" for their human assets, and value them, making their time and dedication worth it. The shitty thing is, this DOES happen, but only at the top, (and it doesn't even need to be at the top TOP, but only a couple of steps up from the bottom), where there are no pre-established wages, so they DO have to barter for the time and dedication of their employees. Being at the bottom sucks, but it sucks a million times more when you know that you are no more valued in your current workplace, than most anywhere else.

  • @elLooto

    @elLooto

    @@aaronrobertson6121 The "minimum wage" is supposed to be a fair representation of the cost of unskilled labour. If you want skilled labour you pay a premium rate for those skills. Lets say, for arguments sake that minimum wage (ie unskilled labor) is $20 and skilled labour is $25. So you must pay a premium of $5 for skilled labour. Then the government say "minimum wage is $23 now, isnt that awesome!" Now the premium for skilled labour is $2; ie skilled labour just got relatively cheaper compared to unskilled labour. This means that, as an employer, the risk of hiring unskilled labour just went up, and the reward for hiring unskilled labour just went down. Now ask yourself "why would I pay for unskilled labour, when skilled labour is almost the same price, but carries increased risks?" In reality mandated minimum wage seriously impacts young people the most, since they have the least skills in the labour market.

    My experience was that college was high school v2.0 that you had to pay for. Like a club. It was mostly a waste of time. I gained exponentially more value at community college. Example: My math professor at community college had two PhDs in Physics and Mathematics and worked for NASA. My Calculus instructor at 4 year university was a graduate student who could barely speak English. I paid $175 for the opportunity to learn from NASA scientist at community college. I spent $3200 to teach myself calculus at University. That was back in the early 90s.

Nobody to confront, no way to investigate this claim or try to defend himself, and HR was going to make him go through all this respectful workplace and sensitivity training, plus throw a letter of discipline in his file for 18 months. Luckily for him, the manager and his union stepped in and were able to limit the damage. But now, he won't speak to them first or be alone with a woman at all. And to top it off, when the same sort or claim went the other way, a woman accused of leering, it was swept under the table. Absolute BS. Watch yourselves out there.

    "I'm super loyal" 1. Can't quantify loyalty, either you are or you're not. It's like saying "I'm super pregnant". The fact that she's quantifying it implies there is a scale, and the only scale that I can think of in this case is the number of opportunities. A "super" instead of a 100% means she's loyal in most of the time. Which is not loyal. 2. Mentioning loyalty as an attribute is wild. Loyalty is the essence of a relationship.
