Why Childfree Numbers Are Rising - Part 1

People are quick to call us selfish and materialistic when it comes to choosing a childfree lifestyle but very rarely do they ever ask us why.
While plenty of us simply just don't want to be parents, it can also stem from the very things going on around us.

In fact yes the fundamentalist religion individuals are indoctrinated to have many children however in general its the bottom 20 percent of society and with the least education that have the most unplanned pregnancies. The further up the ladder you go regarding stability and education the odds decrease.

Honestly what always gets me is that I came from a poor family. My aunts and uncles on both sides had kids after being in a family that had 6 kids and were in poverty. It was not a goal to have kids for them to really take care of them. It was just something that you do. Growing up, my mother taught us how to do all the chores and didn't properly take care of us. My father worked all the time and didn't really know my mother was severely depressed and would sleep all the time and I took care of my little sister. We went to school and it was a break for them. They sent us to church to have a break from us. My sister and I were fully functioning to take care of our own needs like cooking, cleaning when we were 5 years old. We even went grocery shopping with a list and a red wagon. We lived in a rural area. The store would even sell us alcohol and send it home with us if my mother called the store. It was all we knew and we survived our childhood. I just don't see the point in having kids with our world and what is expected of us. I may be ruined from reality of not being cared for properly. Also most of my cousins are alcoholics and pot heads continuing the cycle of poverty. What is the point? Unless you really make it a point to make your kids a priority instead of a chore you shouldn't have children. I am childfree. I just don't want them. I don't remember my childhood fondly; it was just something to get through so I could start my life on my own terms.

It is barbaric and low vibration. Just not for me. I am not into soul trapping. Having a child is a flesh encased trap for a soul. It bleeds, is painful, and then you die. It is rather unappealing. We shit and piss, kill things and eat things with faces. We have wars. We force our offspring to work at things to make money in order to make things better and it isn't that great to begin with. And every time she stops and says 'when you think about it, it's awful isn't it?'. I live in a city that is expecting devastating earthquakes, yet I see people moving into buildings that are clearly not earthquake resistant. Not only that, they then have children. Like, we just had a virus that doesn't have a specific vaccines that really combat the virus and for newborn vaccines then I find out a friend, cousin and neighbor give birth to their 1st or 2nd child. Sometimes I asked myself, what is wrong with them. Am I the only who cares so much and overthinking. 🤷 Now, if I find out their child got sick 'cause of flu or pneumonia(child of my cousin just recently got out from hospital). I simply say, that's on them and sorry for the child. Even in the news a child died 'cause of (maybe) malpractice but the reason the infant was admitted because of pneumonia. And now they're fighting for justice. They couldn't find a person to blame but the other, well, all the time.🤷

It's always been so interesting to me how parents and pro family types don’t ever really address the financial burden of having kids. On the contrary, they usually minimize the financial and incredible time costs associated with raising kids. Why is that?! Why aren't parents more honest about the sacrifices parents inevitably make to be parents. They're so eager to skip over that part and just focus on how fun and wonderful it all is. Very suspicious...

Because society shames them when they talk about the hardship of parenting. So they are forced into the charade. Creating a haven where my children can enjoy friendship with each other and progress/discover the beauty the world has to offer, poetry, art, literature, music, nature, food, relationships etc has been the most rewarding thing I have ever put my energy into. This is coming from someone who has lived abroad in different countries for multiple years, got the degree and cool career and competed in university sports. It just doesn't compare. That's exactly what it is. Prison for life and the destruction of her body. You ever see a woman who's had a baby - brain on the tummy is what it looks like. I feel so badly for them. No more bikinis for the majority of them. Also, they lose their teeth and so many other health problems for life after just one baby. However, I've noticed, it's majority unattractive or only mid women doing this. The majority of truly gorgeous women have their own homes and are single and child free. I think the religi can only keep the unattractive people with a promise of a spouse aka some semblance of a life. The Pass Port bro wives have a baby to stay. So, if you took out poverty and didn't allow men to use that as leverage - the child free would go all the way down to the poor and unattractive. However, since majority of women are kept poor unless they attach to a man around the world....man designed it that way because man is a wankah. The moment you give women a fair chance, they won't be having children. The wealthy women who have children also have live in maids and nannies, they are no where near anything you'd call a Mom. More like a CEO of a family business than a Mom. However, if you're a poor woman, they overturned Roe to make sure that woman stays poor even if SA or underage. Again, men are wankahs, they have to force this upon girls and women, because they know, if given the freedom, girls and women would run from them and create a world without men. And I don't hate men, but take a look at the world they created - nobody wants to live here. Nothing new under the son as they say.

I think it's rest. You get a moment, only a moment, like a few days, lol, when you get with a man that everyone is kinder to you. I still won't go to a doctor without a male with me. They treat you horribly when you're alone as a woman. I've been SA twice by male OBG-YNs. One on my school campus. When you're not with a man, the world is terrible to women and girls, and when you get with a man, the world applauds you and is way nicer to you, all the while applauding the man as he abuses you. The more he abuses you, the more the woman suffers, the more society applauds the relationship. So, when you leave him, you get blamed and "boys will be boys" is the excuse to anything he did wrong and the woman leaving him is just the worst thing she could ever do. LOL!! So, when you're single, you go back to the world hating you - nothing hated more than a Single Mother than a Single Woman. LOL!! Especially a beautiful one. LOL!! They send the pickme aishas after you. Like in that episode of Married with Children, Peg was making her own money and being seen as a seggs symbol and men wanted her and Al couldn't take it. He couldn't stop her, so he sent Marcie and her nag hags to stop Peg. Women and men were soooooo much nicer to me when I was coupled up. Invites to everything. When you're a single woman, you're seen as a temptation, because you know men, have no self control....yet they're supposed to be the leaders. LOL!! @@Childfree334

Childfree Gen X'er here. Happy I made this choice back in the 90s. A growing global childfree movement will force governments and the capitalist system we live in to change laws and make more benefits available to those who choose to parent. Excellent pre-parenting training and education at school level and ongoing parenting training, better free healthcare, properly regulated and minimum-fee mandated childcare, better maternity and paternity leave policies. If the capitalist system requires cogs, it will have to evolve and adapt.

On the one hand, I see what you are saying. On the other hand, I see the issue with either side claiming "save this or that by having/not having kids". It's true that first world countries have their problems but holding other countries responsible for blatant dumping of things like untreated nuclear waste, not building to even the most remedial standards or having basic worker safety laws and having zero regulations on selling people items that aren't even food to begin with (yes, I am clearly alluding to the CCP and India) would be a good start. Ultimately, these things go into the ocean on a massive scale and humanity is affected as opposed to just those countries. On the flip side, simply having "enough" kids will not sustain the economy. It is already becoming quality over quantity, so if people have kids, it is important for them to be intelligent/productive members of society. Someone has to program whatever technology is keeping things afloat and come up with solutions to problems in each generation and others have to maintain the basics. With with more things becoming mechanical, this still requires people to be able to learn and read. While I often hear arguments for having multiple languages available, I have met several kids (and a surprising number of adults who do not have dyslexia) that are unable to read in either their native language or English.

Looking at all the people that aren't quality but quantity... The fast growing Useless Class. We have to many low intelligent non education people. In Europe the Number of children who can't read and write after 4th grade is growing, especially since 2015 when millions of Immigrants from islamistic d1rth0le countries invadet our systems. Crime rates are through the roof. And believing in endless economic growth is just dumb. And the Economy isn't a sentient being, it's human who controll the markets.

People are definitely getting sicker mentally and physically. It’s actually terrifying the amount of kids with not only mental illness but learning behaviours. There’s a large proportion of kids coming through the system now that are going to really struggle to not only to want to work but to be employable. No boundaries, poor communication skills, no resilience. At a local mainstream school there’s several children who aren’t even toilet trained they’ve been known to literally 💩in the playground . There’s kids that can’t cope with being in the classroom they just run around the school all day. They come to school in their pyjamas because the parents can’t get them dressed. My child has 10 kids in his class with learning behaviours many have noise cancelling headphones on to cope with their sensory problems and many are just given a chrome book to type as they can’t hold a pencil and write. It’s really worrying

Because it is possible with birth control. Conservatives wrongly assumed in so called "old good time" ppl had kids because they wanted. Kids were nothing but side effects of having sex, often unwanted, and often being unpaid work force. Now ppl, women especially, can control own fertility. Women pays 99% of social costs of having a child, pay 100% of biological cost, do 99% of work whereas man do 1% of word, 1% of social costs can maintain hobby, career and all he cares for and gets 99% of a praise. It is not always like that, men are getting more loving and careful fathers but in general the vast majority of cost is on a women's side. Women start to ask why should they give up everything to change diapers. It makes conservatives mad with fury and this makes maternity even less appealing. Men are also thinking why they should live in a tiny cage of patriarchal gender roles, they have instead loving and happy relationship or simply have other plans for live.

Since I've been 13, I have not wanted to have kids. Now I'm 27 and it's actually cool I can say I've had over half my life I've had a childfree ideology and mindset. Before that, I can't even say I would have answered yes, I didn't know it was a real choice. At the age of 13, I did realize it was a legit choice. My parents even knew of couples and single people without kids, it just clicked with me one day, Oh that's a choice! It's a very liberating choice once you realize it. I don't want to ruin my body, and be physically miserable, then have to send a kid to school- which has all it's own problems, not have any free time to myself. And the environment angle, while it's not at the very top of my reasons for not wanting kids, I can say, it's becoming more of a stronger reason too.

I'm childfree either way, but healthcare is totally unaffordable. Everyone in the US knows someone who had to put off necessary care and just live in pain and disability due to cost. Childbirth causes so many ongoing new medical issues in women that goes far beyond the price of giving birth... brand new chronic diseases to go with your "bundle of joy". All of which you have to fight to get treatment for and try 10+ different doctors just to get one who takes you seriously and doesn't dismiss you. That isn't free, you pay for all of that. If you go in with an issue and the doctor says you just have anxiety and throws you out, you have to pay for that refusal of treatment. And even once you get a diagnosis you pay more and more for the treatment. Why would any intelligent woman subject herself to that, especially in an era of Andrew Tate fanboys who hate her just for existing? Misogyny doesn't put women in the mood to self-sacrifice to do society a favor. But instead of looking in the mirror or listening to women, they just blame feminism.

I do want kids definitely there’s nothing that will make me not want kids, but I’m certainly interested in learning about the child free logic so I can understand the issues people have with having children and how we can work together to vote differently in a way that makes having kids more appealing for people. I wonder what what the main sticking point is for people, is it the cost? Is it the guilt of contributing to the world’s issues? And man I really don’t like the idea of my kids paying more tax because of people who didn’t have kids, I wish there was a way to cut them off from tax benefits because they refused to contribute to the taxation pool, sigh, I wonder what it would take to encourage people to have more kids

I saw so much comments like: "if everyone was doing the same thing, humanity would disappear". They don't think that lots of animal's society are functional only if some individuals don't reproduce (cf. Wolves, bees, ants, etc.) Furthermore, humans are the only species that can genuinely love and take care of another one's child (adoption); that's way more useful for the specie's future than birhting tons of children.
