What our channel is about:
We bought this semi-detached bungalow in August 2022 and given ourselves 3years to flip the property and sell on. We have a target budget of £70,000! Natasha is the editor and video maker, while Rhys is the builder (a carpenter by trade). We plan on doing 95% of the work ourselves to keep costs down.
This channel is for documenting our experiences - Good or Bad. This is our first time doing anything like this with full times jobs! Can we stick within our budget? Will the building inspector pass each stage? and the biggest question...will we still be married at the end of the project? Subscribe to find out...

Brilliant video and excellent work! Definitely some progress made!! I dread to think how many tonnes in total of earth you dug out of those two rooms. Hope all is well, take care

Thank you Peter, let’s just say this entire project so far we have had a total of 6 x 12 tonne lorry grabs and 4 x 8 yard skips… I think we have maybe another 3-4 lorry grabs worth of earth to come out as well 😅

Luckily we haven’t sold it yet, but it will be nice to keep some original materials on show in the house 👍

very good job, a big job so well done, are you in the trades?, will the earth not drive the moisture up to the edge now through your walls, as all the middle is sealed,do all the walls have a damp course?

The walls have a slate DPC that does seem to be working while I have the bricks all exposed, I may put some Sort of seal between the plastic like expandable spray for or something similar before the insulation and screed are laid

Are you having new windows? If so you could have taken a frame out in each room and shovelled straight out with the digger bucket?

Hi both Definitely a tight fit , but you managed it . Had to hire a mini digger recently , and I couldn’t believe how much the cost had gone up since the last time . Certainly makes you want to get it off hire as quick as possible . 😂. Kind regards 👍

Quite stressful getting it inside for sure, but we managed to get everything we needed to do, done so just the one week hire was needed

Sadly I never had a digger but i had the original metal Tonka dumper truck! I was small enough back then to squeeze my knees into the back and roll around the house 😂

I told Natasha when we bought it 18 months ago it was a 5 year project that’s including all the front and back garden landscaping aswell, I think that may be more likely to be 3-4 years now and we’re hoping to have the bathroom and kitchen in be the end of the year 👍
