PvP Studio Firefox is much better since its open source which means more people are looking at the code then a general browser. What this does to the user means better security against malware advertisements and malicious websites

I have been using Firefox Developer Edition as my main browser ever since it started to be based on the Beta codebase. It has been rock solid 99.9% of the time (I just don't say 100% because almost nothing is 100% reliable).

Great video on the different editions of Firefox! One thing I want to know - is there some way to force the dark mode? There are quite a few themes that don't specifically indicate a dark browser theme since it is a newer feature but I want to have the dark mode for it. I thought at first it would be set based on the OS dark/light mode but appears it needs the browser theme to indicate dark/light mode.

Thank you for clarifing what every Firefox edition is. I was a bit puzzled that you didn't say anything about the almost-my-default-mobile-web-browser: Firefox Preview. How Firefox Preview relates to the other Firefox Android versions? Is it better stopping using Firefox Preview and use the Beta for a point of view of the Firefox developers team? Another question: what's the correct tool to submit Firefox bug reports? Bugzilla? Why not including a bug reporting tool in editions like Developer Edition and/or Nightly... a think about a tool easy to use like the one in VSCode for example. I'd add ESR edition to that list. It has the same logo as Release www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/enterprise/ :)

it is not for general users. it is intended to be used for work, studying, and very privacy conscious people, as it prioritizes privacy, security, tracking protection and built in ad blocking (might sound great but not worth sacrificing your experience over built in ad blocking, just use ublock origin) over actual features, AND it does not save browsing history.

I develop in Oxygen Builder and Chrome has become unbearably slow, so I tried Firefox and its definitely faster loading the editor, but I am trying to keep it extension-free. Dev FF seems a touch slower loading the editor, but with all these neat tools, it may just be worth the tradeoff. Does anyone have experiences using Firefox with Oxygen?

@@MozillaDeveloper One thing that I miss from FireBug is the ability to copy the contents of variables when debugging. Could you bring that back, please? Any time I need to debug some code to copy the contents of a variable (to get, say, the XML in a variable at a certain point during execution), I find I have to go to Chrome or Edge and do the debugging there. Also, I find the dev tools in those particular browsers to have a much more snappy response (as did FireBug).

Is there a version without Google & Facebook tracking?

Dev Edition Its a great browser but for one thing: IT SUCKS UP MEMORY FAST AND WILL UTILIZE MORE THAN 90% OF SYSTEM RESOURCES DRAGGING THE WHOLE MACHINE DOWN.

I have absolutely no need for anything more than standard firefox, I just watched the video because I find the subject interesting (and I only started using firefox as my main browser a few days ago, before that I used chrome)

If your browser is being managed by an outside organisation then firefox will be configured with their group policies. If you want to customise and control your firefox UI then use your own installation, not a company laptop.

@@davidwayne9982 firefox obeys system policies which are typically used by organisations to control and limit browsers. For example if you wanted to prevent users from installing addons or forcing installation of required addons. I use linux and have little familiarity with windows/macOS system management. Have a look in about:policies and go from there. This isn't a firefox issue, there is some group policy in effect on your OS, if you own the machine you can remove the system wide policy.

Why do different android browsers handle hiding browser address bar on page scroll differently? I think like CSS, JS, HTML5 implementation there should be a guiding committee or community that sets some rule as to how address bar / other browser UI elements are created and handled. Some browsers hide the bottom fixed navbar, some hide the top bar, some resize the viewport by certain pixel value while hiding address bar. Some others hide both address bar and bottom navbar of bowser. Why can't browsers be friends? Talk to each other and follow a certain method of hiding the UI elements? Opera Touch's implementation is the worst, it make the webpage fullscreen, the website then scrolls under the android status bar at the top. If God forbid a site has a fixed or sticky navbar at the top. It gets partially tucked under the status bar... This happens without the android immersive mode... Firefox used to be so much better since they started updating it it's had bugs in every update it freezes on certain content and some sites it's trash now

To be honest, I always like firefox more than chrome

Firefox Feedback, #1: Application Menu/Bookmarks/Right-Click/Sort By Name/its 2022??? 😏️ And no. Going into the Manage Bookmarks? Does absolutely nothing to sort them in the browser. #2: Please do everything in your power to Protect users from Malware? As someone who finally had enough of Windows & Edge/IE for decades? I'm scared to death doing my Banking & surfing the web on Manjaro Linux & this insane view/attitude this "community" seems to have towards Malware? as if it will never ever happen!?! Well one day I'm afraid we will all learn the hard way... Please do whatever you can in this regard? 😉️ TY.

New (ver 89) Firefox sucks big time. Fonts in menus are way too hard to read. I had to set all Proton settings to False. And the New tab icons are so small that they are virtually invisible. I constantly forbade Firefox from auto updating to no avail. It forced itself on me. I may switch to Waterfox
