My guess is it's the combination of eating a lot of fish, meat, high quality dairy and their ancestors were some of the hardiest Scandinavians settling Iceland and what not. They also really love strongman competition.

I´m Icelandic. I´m strong (please do not take this as cocky and arrogant hehe) I ride my bike to the gym every day, even when it´s freezing cold and windy. I go at aroundf 21:00 at night and then I wake up around 04:30-05:00, eat and then go to the gym again. I started eating fish, vegetables and drinking fish oil at the age of 2. In Iceland there are 3 things you chose to do with your life: 1. You live a healthy lifestyle and work out. 2. You drink, party and fight your way thru life. 3. You do both and cancel out all your workout like a fkn idiot. We also have a saying in Icelandic that goes "þetta reddast" e. “it will all work out okay” Even tho we are a small nation we never give up and we do not take shit from anyone. It´s not in our Viking blood.

Jon Pall is the greatest strongman in history, period. Everyone should watch the movie "Fullsterkur", the culture is a huge factor in the Icelandic mentality. Iceland dominates strength because of their culture just like Norway dominates in skis because of their culture. They grow up with it. Kids do it. They want to be the best. They become the best.

Icelanders have been fighting the weather/volcanos for a long time. Very large percentages have died at a time, so natural selection definitely makes a difference. I think Bolt being fast is probably also genetic. Some countries in Africa have people who are crazy good at long distance running because of their genetics (proved by the fact they come from a tiny region). The Napalese being strong/good on mountains being genetic. There's nothing wrong with recognising such things. celebrating such things is the opposite to racism.

Iceland was named to keep people away from their own earthly paradise... and Greenland was set up to fool those people into going elsewhere... he was the descendant of an old viking mercenary family... their trail went from Iceland to the countries of Africa... then eventually into the State of Texas in the US through Mexico... they now have a home near the Bush family in San Antonio... and they're still involved in warfare to this day...
