I thought the game was really good. But i had a problem with the last 2 chapters or so. These where terrible. Destroyed the whole concept of …. You know. Light spoiler. Somehow the whole thing they are fighting is a pushover. Do it in like 10 minutes really? Makes it all a joke. What 13 years?! Can’t say more because i will give spoilers. Also i hated the ending. But overal good game…ending and last 2 chapters stopped me from playing it again.

@@DovahVokuna You obviously haven't read collectibles and didn't watch credits till the end. It's not a loop it's a spiral and also as numerously stated in the game concept of time doesn't exists in the Dark Place (which is not bad nor good place). I actually liked the ending because now we get to explore the dark place more in Control 2 and also what type of parautelian is mr. Door ( sorta like Heimdall in my opinion) and what side if any he is on...

Alan Wake 2 is fantastic I never played a Alan Wake game till earlier this year back in July because of PS Plus giving out the first game for free and after I tried it and saw the trailer to Alan Wake 2 and I was like this looks really good. I finished the first game and was like yup can’t wait to play it. I just recently finished Alan Wake 2 on its first play through and now half way into a second play through and I can say it’s GOTY 2023 for me.

Oh yeah I didn't understand either why some people called this a walking sim. You can call something like Layers of Fear that but AW2? How?? By that logic RE2 is also a walking simulator. Also an awful lot people called this Alan Woke because there is a black female playable character on top of Alan.

Finished it today. Loved it. Can't wait for the DLC because...I'm a little lost still, tbh. But that's what I love about it. Keeps you thinking and wanting more. I need to play it again so I can grab all the stuff I missed. There's so much to do in this game. Just went down the rabbit hole and watched Sam Lake talk about the game and the cast. I kinda wanna play American Nightmare to see what that was all about.

That’s why Remedy is one of my favorite devs they make games that don’t appeal to everyone but their style and unique storytelling is what attracted me to their games

Haven’t played it yet, but I imagine playing the game Control would help since these two are so interrelated.

Definetly one of the best game experiences I have ever played. I'm fortunate to played that on my RTX 4080 so in terms of Viual presentation, sound design it's definetly 10/10. Story and the world building including FBC from Control is 9,5/10. Only caviat is that this plays more like an adveture game so I strongly suggest read and explor everything. This is not an fast pace game. Combat is 8,5/10. Definetly it gets better as you play because it can be challenging, but if you know how to navigate the world it is really exciting. Now it has to be said, that people going into this expecting to play Control or Resident Evil will be dissappointed. This is more like playing Silent Hill with elements of combat. Even more than Alan Wake I suggest to play Control first (ultimate edition). For a 50 Euros you get your moneys worth. I have played 30 hours to finish the game. Let's just hope we wont have to wait another 13 years for next game.

I really wish I could, I mean I liked the first game, easily 8.5/10 for me but the requirements for the second game is SOOOOOO insane that my PC can't literally run it and this never happened before. So for now it's a skip until I upgrade my PC, maybe after three years or so. Still Resident Evil 4 Remake is game of the year for me.

Def play the remastered 1st game. It's really good. Very unique because it was originally designed as an open world game but they settled on a more narrative based adventure. But the open world elements kind of remain and add to the whole atmosphere because you can see way into the distance where you are supposed to go and you can look a mile behind you and see where you were like 2 chapters ago. It's always tense, always creepy but it's more an action game with survival horror elements rather than a survival horror game with little action. I think the first game is much more interesting for most ppl. In order to appreciate the 2nd game you really need to be invested in the lore/characters of the first game.

Especially the ending which yes the real ending is hide behind the new game+ which is coming and yes the ending is leaked so I am not spoiling so the conclusion well you know what I won't say anything

Alan Wake 2 is totally different to Alan Wake 1. I will start an Alan Wake 2 run after I finished RE4RM Berserker. Hopefully RECV will be released next (before RE5 please). This is the RE game I'm waiting for. I stopped playing RE5 after a couple of hours back in 2005 and was mad/devistated. Capcom decapitated the original RE series. This is also why I'm not hyped about an upcoming RE5 Remake (actually I wish RE5RM will be true survival horror game, but I'm worried about it).

I was extremely surprised by Alan Wake 2. It has been a LONG time since I have played a game sequel that actually jumped the quality and surpassed its predecessor in every possible way. Granted, I was never a fan of the first game because it was repetitive. But this is by far the best Survival Horror game of this generation. It has everything that I was asking for: -Inventory management -Puzzles that are actually challenging -Exploration that pays off well -Engaging story -Decent scare factor -Create my own pacing for the story This game also feels innovative. I was very addicted to Saga's Case Board where you collect and place evidence and clues. This type of stuff sounds boring from a concept perspective but when I put my fingers on it, it was oddly satisfying. Also Alan changing the level environment by rewriting parts of his book was just breathtaking. Sorry, Resident Evil 4 Remake. I loved you, you do have better characters. But Alan Wake 2 takes the cake for my GOTY of 2023. This whole game was worth waiting for 13 years.

Definitely Game of year for ppl smoke pot all day with no energy or enthusiasm and having fever. Its that kinda game. Not for someone who's geniunely energetic to play and blast the weekend off enjoy with amazing hand eye-ordination, stimulating brain when you win a hard boss fight. Basically this game is not people who want to taste sweet Victory after either going thru narrative with emotional beats or harder boss fights. A Controversial 6/10 game. If this game wins Game of year then either Game industry is Corpo-fucked or "Gaymers" dont deserve quality of Baldur's gate 3, Lies of P, Cyberpunk phantom freaking Liberty, Res evil 4 remake.

Alan Wake 2 is a Dogshit walking simulator. Biggest overrated garbage of 2023, RE4R and Dead Space Remake were amazing.

The impossible is achieved! Alan wake 2 finally sells gamers a walking sim and they dont complain. Ala eake2 sells a survival horror sans combat. Amazong.
