Maine Coon cats are knows as "gentle giants". Their purrs and cuddles are very special 💗 However, you need to gain their love and trust, that's why sometimes people are disappointed when their kittens aren't cuddly.
🖤 Maxie was a very skittish kitten at first but look at her and her fav human now!
Unfortunately, she developed this bond only with one of her two humans 🥺 She will be nice and will purr for the second human too, just not the same...
When we got the second cat, it became obsvious that Maxie loves one human more. Luckily for us, 🧡 Foxie chose the other human as his favourite. So we have a well-balanced family 💞

Maxie truly, utterly loves him and even gets a man to put aside his ps controller to shower her with attention. 😮 Joking aside, it's heartwarming to see how loved these 2 are and each love one of you equally to spread the love.❤
She's a beauty and she's so polite asking for cuddles! Mine gives me a couple of paw swipes on the mouth if I'm asleep or not quick enough on the cuddle trigger. Yes, I'm bullied by my own cat.

I'm so sorry. I lost my Maine Coon less than a year ago . He was 19. Broke my heart. I know you are heartbroken too.

Mainecoons are a very special breed. My Mainecoon is so smart and affectionate.
The head rubs............magical.
That head butt/rub feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good, gotta be one of the top 5 best feelings in life for sure. Unfortunately I am allergic or else I would let my baby rub my face all day/night long. He used to jump on my bed when he was a kitten and wake me up like that.

And ours just left us a dead mouse he caught in the house. That 6 so far. We have had many cats of our 70yrs and NONE were hunters. We have a black MC cross who is MR Personality and the sweetest boy. He hunts our basement and backyard and occasionally gets one on the main floor. For a bit cat he is FAST

Makes me think of my MC named Bear. Big beautiful orange boy. Big lovey Floof like Maxie, who would always come running anytime he saw me in the couch or relaxing. Same cuddle crash. And I always indulged his every cuddly whim. Fifteen years of it.

Our first cat was a Maine Coon mix. He was a big boy at 25 pounds. He was smart as a whip. I taught him to sit and shake a paw. He taught us how to understand what food he wanted. He was a big hearted kitty and we loved him like the family he became. We still miss him dearly.

I'm sorry for your loss. My baby you see in my avatar, died in 2016 of bone marrow cancer, at 12. It was the hardest loss of my entire life. Like Maxie and her Dad, I belonged to her.

Nope, she comes to me only when she's hungry or when her fav hooman is unavailable for a day or more 🙈 But it's not the same, she's less enthusiastic and she doesn't rub her face the same, just a few light head bumps and she's done 🤷🏻♀️
