I had 2 of the Audiopipe BDC4 15s in a C pillar flat wall and they were absolute monsters growling loud! Tune that box down to 28 hz for it and then you will see how low these get. One of the best low bass subs I've ever had. Was breaking everything in my Tahoe. I've since upgraded but still love the Audiopipe.

Grab a 12v test light & find a wire behind the radio or around the fuse box that powers up with key on ignition & doesn't have power when the key's off, tap into it & run it back as your remote if you're using a factory radio, that way it'll power your amp or amps up only when your car is running & shut em down when it's off

Skar is the GreatValue version of SunDown Some shiit like the owners were partners and they split ways cause one wanted to over price and the other wanted to be for the basshead and not everyone wants to pay the price of 2 subs the exact same materials. He named it Skar for the Skar going through sundown on the logo. 😬

@@jOhnVd0e idk if that is 100% accurate lol. I also am sure some of it is. Emf and sundown were once the same company but idk about Skar. As far as the same materials I'm sure that's true for some of the products but definitely not all the higher end sundown stuff. That's like saying a zv5 and a skar zvx are the same thing. Or maybe the sundown x series would be a better comparison. I always picture the zvx as skars version of a zv5 or zv5 but that's just me. I never thought they were exactly the same thing though.

BaSs-n-TRUTH-inthestix I was just wingin it haha I have two ZVX’s and my friend has two of the ZV5’s same setup as far as amp goes and side by side they sound dead even. No difference. You gotta hear these two next to eachother in person to really judge. This SVR 12 is most likely the SA 12 it’ll handle 1200 watts all day I bet. I know from experience the EVL will handle well over 1000 watts.

What's the box specs your using? What size are those ports, 3 inches?

Yes. I built the box myself. 3cu.ft. Dual 3 inch Ports, tuned 35Hz, Grey carpet finish with black leather beauty panel.

FINALLY.... I PULLED THE TRIGER ON MY SUBS.. GOT THE BDC415 D2. GOT 4 so you know I got alot of work to do. And I have to thank you. Could have made that decision if weren't for all your vids s

@@458sammy just run it at 2ohms to be same. If you run 1 ohm your gain settings will be all the way down. But it would def work

I just received 2 of em. Built a box 4.3cu ft 32hz. Shit killing my Charger y'all

I just recently blew the 12" I had in my car. I built a custom sealed enclosure to fit in my trunk and to the air space that I thought was optimal for the sub. The cone began to separate from the spider and one of the coils is disconnected. I've been searching all over the web for a new replacement. I've found a bunch of different subs I've never heard of and I'm kinda curious for someone to do a comparison of them. The Seismic Audio SA-LAF122 12", Harmony Audio Monolith12", Savard Hi Q 12", Gravity Warzone 12", Sinful Sounds 12".....Also, I know someone has heard of these but, The Pioneer TSW1200 Pro's, I would like to see an in depth evaluation of these. They got a sensitivity rating of 105 dB!!! Dayum!

That 105 db rating is an in car rating. Pioneer is slippery on their specs. Also it is a pro audio speaker. Not necessarily a subwoofer. But a beast for sure what it is designed to do.

So the Skar was wired to 4ohm but the Audio pipe was wired to 2ohm?

First of all the audiopipe definitely won but it should have. I don't think the subs are on the same level, the skar ddx (34 lbs vs the svr @ 25) would have been a better match because they are about the same size and weight. The audiopipe weighs like 34 but does have a larger motor and a 3" voice coil vs the skar 2.5". I bought a skar svr-10 and after about 2 weeks the sub was finally broken in and it literally sounded like a totally different sub. The quality is so much better. I would definitely try to get a box that's on the larger size and tuned relatively low. I'm running it on 500 watts rms and it needs more power. Those skar's are definitely budget friendly and worth the money.

Did you find the specs online or did you just do it to your specs and figure out the tune with the pipe length and width? I really like the way you wrapped it too. The EVL is nowhere as good as bdc4, I would stay away any EVLs. Get DDX or SVR atleast if you want skar audio

BudgetBassHead lol bro your videos inspired me to build a subwoofer box myself all the talk about 4th order enclosures and such, mines just a normal ported box with 2 dual dws 12s on 600 watts but SIZE MATTERS those cheap things rock so hard in a custom enclosure, keep up the good work with the videos by the way I always watch when I have time

I have owned both subwoofers. Audiopipe hands down for txx-bdc4 12 on skar rp2000. I show no mercy for these subwoofers an they take it like a champ

@@RemingtonSteel There aren’t many under $300, not for tight budgets. The JBL Stadiums are under $250, DD Hi Def series are 330-ish. But Kicker Qs and Infinity Kappas (got two for 200). Cosmos are a bit pricey as well

It is port noise. I designed this box with greater compression in mind; hence smaller ports. But I think I should've added a third port. I may convert it in the future. To a slot port.

@@BudgetBassHead it is hard to capture a subwoofers true performance in a video.I had a car audio store from 1997 to 2003. I always had a system growing up and into my mid 20's. Having kids and needing passenger and cargo space put my bass on hold for the past 15 years. Now I have gotten the itch to get my bass back. I am blown away at the power handling and performance of subwoofers these days. I want to do a refined system in my trailblazer that has sound deadening in my doors, and throught the interior, rear hatch, licence plate etc. I want to use good quality component speakers and 3 down firing 8's in a slot ported enclosure with the amplifiers totally hidden away. There are so many brands these days I am having a hard time deciding what brand to go with. Keep up the good work.

I noticed that at 8 ohms, higher volumes sounded a lot more controlled than it did at 2 ohms. This is typically to be expected however at 2 ohms anything passed 75% of the volume, it simply goes crazy 🤟

Have 2 of the audio pipe great speaker for the price slams

Too bad these audio pipes are going for 300 now on the other hand the skar zvx is going for 350 now Im still debating which one I should spend 300 on

I thing it was unfair Comparatione skar was final ohm 4 and audio pipe was final 2 ohms so yes audio pipe was going to hit hard

Both subs saw rated power. I could've wired the SKAR to 1ohms, but, all jokes aside, 2,000 watts probably would've killed it.

Ohm load dont matter if they are being pushed at rated power. If anything higher ohm load better control and sound quality.

correct ohm load doesn't matter. the 800 rms speaker was out performed by a 1100 rms set up. that's what I take from this. plus I'm still wondering how its a trunk test with the lid open. nearly same as sitting in the studio.

@Silva Jay The studio isn't designed for rated power. I can only supply the studio with about 800 Watts at 4ohms. The car application can push more power = more flex for the viewer. It lets you see the potential of what you are buying

To move a trunk you need good Sound Pressure Level(SPL)

I have an SVR 12 and like it ok but it can't hold a candle to that AudioPipe

TXX-BDC4-12D. Is the winner 👏 yay yay 😀 I just bought one I have a pioneer amplifier it says it is a 1200W 2 channel and he is a bridgeable amp I have currently a Rockville 12 inch hooked up to it right now The Rockville is making smoke and bad smell every once in a while but no popping I will never buy a Rockville again
