@@Ahmad-oh6icthis you actually got wrong. Cananites are a subgroup of the Phoenicians. Phonecians were a vast spans of people, and many lived in both Judea and Jerusalem and later many became Jewish. DNA sampling suggest that ancient Phoenicians lived on to what is today people living in Israel and Lebanon. The Palestinians of today are not so much unified group of people. Many came to the region in the 1800s from both Jordan and Lebanon, as part of Arab immigrants. Some Arab tribes lived in the region longer and an often be defined as we today call Palestinians, even though they at this time did not have a unified name for the people in the region. This is important as the idea of one group having a claim over another doesn’t really match on in either of the Jewish or Arabic cases. But have ties there, both population were exchanged over time and expelled at different ages. The original people are long dead, and only ancestors who are a mix of so many cultures and ethnics since then, are alive today. If an argument of the area belonging to solely belonging to Arabs, then similiar claims must be true for the European crusaders and their offspring that for a long time lived in the region. Same as the Christian population who often is called “Christian Arabs” or “Christian Palestinians”. Remember, these Christian have longer ties to the region as they never left, and DNA studies reveal a much different profile than Muslim Arab counterparts, indicating a separation much earlier. In other words, this conflict is not Arabs vs Jews, it is not natives versus invaders.

@wolfs hordes well no, the Egyptian dynasty with any Semitic paternal dna is the Hyksos dynasty and the dynasty after that. Both had very dark brown skin and black skin. We found out some had blonde hair but no red in the Hyksos dynasty and the 18th dynasty. The Hyksos had no Celtic pottery, Celtic language, no Celtic customs that could be seen in bodies after several thousand years. R1b-v88 is thought to come from Syria. Well think about it it’s in the center of the “known world” between Europe, Asia, and Africa. In addition, the Bible says that the area is “a land of milk and honey” which means that it has lots of resources and riches. So, it has been prime real estate for many a empire in history. Except the Romans, who called the area a wasteland essentially.

It's the only place between three continents. Without America, the center of the world is in Central Asia, but with America which is closer to Europe than Asia (except for Alaska), the center of the world goes to Israel, where God chose to have his throne, the middle of the biggest desert region in the world from the Gobi to western Sahara. It is also between seas (Red and Med. of course). It is perfectly situated for the Messiah, but the Anti-Christ shall rule before Jesus returns.

It's interesting how fresh water is still one of the main conflictual topics in the region today! After watching of bunch of your videos, I also noticed that what ancient people called "warlike people" were often semi-nomadic tribes with little resources that had no other choice but to raid others. Through natural selection, we can assume only the most aggressive males passed on their genes.

Great video that answers so many questions. Biblically, Canaanites were descendants of Canaan who was the lastborn son to Ham, who was also lasborn son to Noah. Canaan's most notable brother is Nimrod known to be a skilled and mighty hunter, other off-biblical sources names Nimrod as the one who spearheaded the building of the Babel tower and later founded the ancient Babylon city. It is also worth noting that Ham, the father to Canaan was also nicknamed Canaan.

Very thorough and great representation of how long and to what extent Egypt ruled the area (which is often greatly underappreciated). My only critique is that you stopped a few centuries too soon.
Jerusalem was a Canaanite city before being invaded by David. Phoenicians were also Canaanites. They invented the alphabet. Must compliment the author on a brilliant non-political balanced presentation, his excellent graphics and on his last positive humanitarian comment.

@Flavius Ibrahimius well I misunderstood. But the video is about Canaan. And people fought for Canaan for millennia too. So, that’s what I thought. It was a misunderstanding.

@@Tiger_Fanatic Judea was nothing to them? So why did they lose thousands to keep it? It's like the US claiming Iraq is worthless. Then why rape it based on a lie? I did a video proving that the US funds ISIS.
I've literally listened to hours of documentaries on what you summarized in 13 mins. Nice work!!
Awesome. Very helpful in piecing together numerous fragments of knowledge that I've held in my head. It's amazing how something like this can be like putting together a section of a huge jigsaw puzzle. The problem is remembering this. Alas the pieces don't stay in place in my head. But something lingers perhaps. Thanks!
Thank you for the amazing content, please keep it up!
This is a very well put together overview and very impartial. Thank you very much for this.
You've definitely helped me better understand how the early world functioned, and just how much of a role that topography and resource distribution played into that. From the copper mines on Cyprus bringing wealth to that island, to the water reserves at Jericho which allowed that city to prosper, you really go out of your way to explain how the land shaped us as a species. Thank you for creating this content, the work you put into these videos is wonderful.
This is a very good explanation as it refers to the natural topography and geography of the area, which is ignored by most so-called historians but which are the absolute defining element in differentiation of populations and whatever follows these populations as we see back and call their stories as history.
Thank you for an informative, entertaining video. I look forward to learning more about my new home, Akko, which according to this, is in ancient Phoenicia/Canaan.

Well the stories from the bible were taken and adapted to fit European culture so it is more lore than historical fact. Its a lore meant to elevate the European higher than their lowly standing in the bible. It's the same reason why they hid the fact that they're the biblical gentiles. Gentiles are a people that come from japheth but they changed the meaning so they wouldn't be isolated for breaking the new covenant.

It's finally making a lot of sense. The Bible recounts a lot of references to the sea, fishermen and fish. Fish and bread was a staple diet within that region. And to be able to conjure it would mean one that can catch many fish. It's very likely the farmable land produced an abundance of fish and bread due to it's coastline and farmable land.

A brief discussion of what happened to the folks in the region...even if just to provide summaries of various theories, would have made this stronger. Right now, it ends as if everyone disappeared at once.
