    Words actually have meanings; knowledge refers to stuff you can know. Many of the characters mentioned in the bible are symbolic entities meant to teach a lesson, but did not actually exist. Therefore it is impossible to know anything about them. Can we know the blood types, or genealogies, or any sort of knowledge at all about the characters in Harry Potter, or Gone With the Wind?

    The Bible is truth. To understand this read genesis, Mathew, and one book of the Bible you chose yourself. As you do this practice forgiveness. It's about what's in your heart, love Is the key. If there's love in your heart you forgive. The act proves the truth. To be forgiven we must forgive. Start with your parents, they've loved you, they're easiest. Look inside for the grievances we all build up there and Genuinely forgive from within. It teaches you something you can learn no other ways. You have to learn first hand by what this process does inside your soul. Please trust me. Break down before Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness today. It's not too late. God loves you. Please trust me. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life.

AD stands for Anno Domini, Latin for “in the year of the Lord”. The calendars we use today are based upon Jesus Christ. I worked in a Surveying Co where I read many property deeds. At the the top of all these older deeds it always showed "In The Year of The Lord"....dated, and signed.

But, in my very early 20's, I found my way back to GOD & JESUS CHRIST . . . With the world the way it is, things are coming to an end and I pray you find your way back to GOD. Religion is just a formal term people use to describe some kind of belief system. That is not what I am saying . . . I mean a personal relationship with GOD . . . • @MalachiCo0
    @MalachiCo010 ай бұрын

    A couple of things to add to this video. 1: Christian Literalist dates align with Protestant and Catholic beliefs, because their Torah is basically sourced from the Masoretic (it's a bit more complicated than that, but for the purposes of this discussion it's true). However, the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches use the Septuagint (the Greek translation), which on average adds 100 years on the length of time between birth and birth of the child for each of the patriarchs (excluding Noah, Terah, and Abraham onwards). The Samaritans do a mix of the two, using what appear to be mostly Masoretic timelines from before the Flood and mostly Septuagint timelines for after the flood. 2: In the Septuagint Selah has a son named Cainan, and he is an interesting case study. He does not appear in the Masoretic or Samaritan Torah at all, and the earliest manuscripts of Luke omit him too. I'm not sure what made the Septuagint translators add Cainan on, though there might be a relation to the Book of Jubilees (apocryphal book considered canon to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church), which also has Cainan. Luke's mention is almost certainly either a scribal error (I believe on the older manuscripts there was a name that looked similar on the previous line of text, and the scribe might have accidentally copied his name twice) or was an overcorrect to align it closer to the Septuagint. 3: It's interesting that the Rabbis came to the conclusion that Exodus 12:40 originally read as "Egypt and Canaan", because that's what some non-denominational Christians have come to conclude using comparative analysis. The Septuagint, older copies of Josephus' body of work, and I believe the Samaritan all say "and Canaan" in those versions. 4: The Matthew genealogy of Jesus is potentially missing a name, because if you count the names for after the exile you only get 13. Now some think this gives credence to the theory that the Matthew genealogy is properly Mary's. The theory goes that Joseph son of Judah was originally the FATHER of Mary rather than her husband, citing the potential ambiguity of the Greek word used there which can mean both "man" and "father". Usually there's also claims of Matthew being originally authored in Hebrew, so there's potentially an element of mistranslation going on too. However, you could also just as easily say there's another ancestor mentioned there that a scribe missed. Both are possibilities worth considering.

    Random little personal story: I actually had an ancestor named Zimri. My 5th (? Maybe 4th? I forget) great grandfather. I wonder why anyone would name their kid after a failed, hated king who was so stubborn and greedy for power that he literally went down in flames. Maybe it was that thing where parents name their child after someone they DON'T want their kid to be like? Maybe that was common in Appalachia? (That's where they lived) I'm not sure 🤷‍♀️😂 Maybe they just simply opened The Bible randomly and looked for a name, saw Zimri, and decided it was meant to be. I'm not sure what kind of man he was. There's not a lot of info on him. Except that he was a Union Civil War vet with Kidney Disease (info from his pension paperwork/record). I guess less info means he probably wasn't as bad as his namesake, at least 😂

    Instead of a "literalist," I consider myself a serious Bible believer. Some of the Bible can be dated, as you have found, some cannot. More and more archeological evidence is being uncovered that helps to date and confirm biblical evidence. I don't need it believe, but it's nice to be able to add it to my data. I really am glad for your videos and your charts. I'll be ordering this one for my church. Thank you for your work. Very professional. 😊

Partly because I'm now disabled, but mostly because I don't trust em. I study my Bible at home and watch sermons online. I think smaller home churches are better and often more sound and are becoming the new wave in learning. I enjoy Kay Arthur's style of learning and I've learned a ton from preachers like Chuck Missler and the like.

This is a common misconception from uncareful reading of the text. Galatians 3:17 "And this I say, [that] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect." This makes it very clear that the 430 years started from when God made the covenant with Abraham, and Abraham split the animals in two, and then walked between them, to the time that the Israelites left Egypt (or perhaps even to the day they received the 10 Commandments, I don't know), was 430 years. That makes more sense too, because it was a Passover when they left, and a "Passover" when Abraham walked between the two halves of the sacrifice. . I didn't bother watching the rest. Most of the video is good, but as I stated last month, there are some errors in this video. Creating doubt regarding the historical accuracy of any part of the Bible is actually serious error.

Little point of interest when secular and biblical dates coincide I was used to calling that an ‘absolute’ date. I worked on the year the Medes and Persians overthrew Babylon. The record of Nabonidus the father and coregent of Belshazzar made on a clay tablet states that event was Oct 5-6 539 B.C.E. according to the Gregorian calendar. Yes, the creation of the first humans was a little over 6,000 years ago. Not the creation of the earth and galaxies, etc. The creation “days” were time periods, not 24 hour days. Especially since some of them took place before there was an earth to have 24 hour days. They may have been millions of years or more in length. But human history only extends back 6,000+ years. Note: 4,000 bce to 2,001 ce would be 6,000 years, as there was no year zero. It went from 1 bce to 1 ce. And 4,025 bce would be going back further than 4,000, so we already passed 6,000 years decades ago, contrary to erroneous comments above. Radiocarbon dating that disagrees with Biblical chronology is just wrong. It fails to take into consideration facts such as the great flood/deluge, and potentially how that altered the earth’s atmosphere by removing a water vapor canopy, allowing more uv rays to penetrate, altering growth rates, changes in the earth’s magnetic field allowing more cosmic rays to penetrate, changing the rate of carbon-14 formation and accumulation, and the apparent ages of creatures from before then compared to after. Don’t be intimidated by ridiculers.
