The difference is chin. Diniz might not be the most skilled kickboxer but he’s always been known for his out of the world chin, if you watch his fight against Rico you’ll know what I’m talking about. And Lane is chinny, had been knocked out 4 times before the fight

People who go from Football to Combat Sports always seem to have the worst chins.

In my opinion glory guys like diniz have an iron chin watch any glory fight and theyre just swanging hard the whole time eating shots and coming back harder every glory fighter or kickboxer ive ever seen even izzy has a crazy chin im not an expert just a 16 yo heavyweight blue belt who strikes like a knockoff corey sandhagen thats been left in the rain a little too long

As a heavyweight I constantly trade heavy shots like this (not intentionally obv) we just built different I guess

I think it was the placement on the chin, lane hit more on the face while diniz hit more on the chin

Looked like the fella who got wobbled put every ounce of energy into the offense then completely relaxed. The hook caused a whiplash which slams the brain against the skull, causing further damage. In short, his brain swam right into his noggin

diniz is very experinced heavyweight striker who knows how to tuck his chin and just absorb shots the right way diniz isnt some technichal cory sandhagen dance around master but he is a master of heavyweight brawling lane is also just kinda chinny and doesnt know where to place his chin and got caught with rapid follow up shots in combinations

Im happy im not a heavyweight. I feel like sparring as a heavyweight gets you injured way easier
