Who is Keerthi Jalli, the IAS officer at the forefront of Assam floods?
Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Assam’s Cachar district has been winning locals’ confidence and hearts of netizens with her proactive approach to the flood-ravaged district. Jalli visited several areas where relief could not be delivered. She also visited the eroded sites of Manikpur and Roypur on foot and examined the extent of damages caused by the floodwater.
Earlier, she served as the DC of Hailakandi district and brought in several administrative reforms during her tenure. Having won multiple awards, including a national award for her public service, this 2013 IAS batch officer has much more to her credit. Here’s her story.
