Becoming an IAS officer is a dream for many. Lakhs of aspirants appear for the tough UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) to become an IAS officer but only a few make the cut.
So how does life change for the ones who do make the cut?
What does a day in the life of an IAS Officer typically look like? Is there a fixed daily schedule? What are the responsibilities? How is the life of an IAS Officer in India?

Pooja Elangbam is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from North East India. She is an officer of the 2018 batch and was able to secure 81st rank in the UPSC Civil Service Examination. The key point here is that she was able to clear the prestigious examination without any coaching based on her studies.

Why not.....North Eastern Indians always made India proud but some people see them as Chinese.....But I'm happy to see that things are changing drastically.....my North indian friends in delhi are so supportive and always help me first.....and we're having real fun.....I learned their language and they learned mine....🙂

Whyy not everyone can become whatever they want u just need the zeal to do so and i believe that younger generation is very open to everyone we want to connect and meet all people from every corner of our country. Atleast for me this is true

Unfortunately NE girl's models are entertainers and not empowered women ... Boys too , our generation fails to acknowledge power and credibility .

@@kanishkatilak7706 lack of atmosphere and awareness, there's no lack of self confidence in fact there are many University gold medalists too, but many of them don't make it due to lack of proper guidance. Also there's no UPSC culture either like it is present in some northern/central parts of the country, people are mostly inclined towards other fields. Since the no. of people that actually secure good ranks is also pretty low, there are not a lot of people to look up to either! However, things are gradually changing for the better.

I plan to be an IPS under 5 yeas from now. I graduated 2020 from Civil engineering. Got into state PCs as Sub Inspector at the age of 24. GS was a new concept for me being from the technical background but it took me my 1st attempt and fortunately i made it in just 4 months. And I am aiming to become an IPS from Arunachal like Sir Robin Hibu Sir and Serve Humanity through my Service. When i do become one , I shall seek this post . Lets manifest this dream. Jai Hind.
