The problem with these introductions is that they have to create a narrative for each member, but people's lives aren't tidy narratives, so the videos can become outdated pretty quickly. They are a good tool for learning about the group though.

I really appreciate the genuine interest you show, it's real and it shows that you are enjoying it without overreacting to have more views and followers, I like that you are interested, and at the same time share with us things you have in common with them, coz that's what bangtan is about, except for the fame and the millions, they are guys like us, with pains, problems and doubts about life and how to live it. When I met them, it had only been a few months since they had debuted, I was 26 years old, I just had my second son, they have autism, and although it's hard to believe, BTS has helped my boys a lot,and it has helped me much more to overcome the most difficult moments for me, so thanks for starting this journey to BTS and Army universe. Please stay healthy, take care of yourself, hugs from Argentina💜😘🇦🇷

Re: maknae role - a strict hierarchy is based on age, in korean culture. As maknae, one has to do everything an older person asks. He has to call them all by honorifics (unless they're about 6 mos. or less apart in age.) They never call him with honorifics. But in return, they treat him specially affectionately at other times. edit: siblings / kids and young adults use a gender-specific system of honorifics (male to older male, male to older female, female to older male, female to older female - 4 different words altogether.) "Hyung" is what a boy/male calls his elder brother/person. You'll see it a lot in captions.

OK, so the core of ARMY is supporting all 7 members and wishing them the best. ARMYs try to love themselves so they can love others. We are a worldwide family, so we work to lessen xenophobia, racism, sexism, toxic masculinity - and all the other things that weigh on society. Sometimes the way we do that best is to support BTS because they have taken on so much responsibility. They are like ambassadors who speak for those without voices, and bring the taboo subjects into the light. There's an ARMY saying that BTS finds you when you need them most. No one has the right to say that isn't valid for you. So, you'll know if and when you want to call yourself ARMY. If it is genuine, and your heart is in the right place, you don't need approval from anyone. ARMY just kind of draws you in and gives you a non-creepy hug. :) 💜

About that part in singularity, the song is about his two different personalities, one is above the iced layer of water that we see and the other is beneath it, his real self. He tries to reach and tries to combine both sides but can't and has to divide himself. The newspaper clippings are above the water which indicates his fame and his side which is famous and he has to show us as a part of being a celebrity. And the camera angle puts us beneath the water to give us a perspective of what his real self sees above the water. Hope this helps. And thank you for digging deep into their personalities for a better understanding of their music. I know this is 3 years late but I only just discovered you. There’s a common theme with, introductions to Jimin, of focussing on negative things about him. I noticed the other members’ brief bios were very much focussed on what they CAN do and not what they can’t, whereas Jimin’s bio was largely about insecurities and what he felt he CAN’T do! He is by nature an upbeat individual, who looks after the people around him. He was NEVER a burden on anyone - the intro makes it look like he was miserable 24/7, hopelessly insecure and that they were always having to lift him up. The fact is, HE was/still is the fun living member, who uplifted everyone else. That annoys the hell out of me because even in those early days he was incredibly talented - the MOST versatile all rounder, yet they don’t present him that way. What Army, here, didn’t tell you is that he had insecurities with good reason: 1. He was the ONLY ‘fit’ member of the group with a very muscular body, yet he was bullied quite mercilessly for being ‘fat’ and having a ‘chubby’ cheeks. If he didn’t lose weight, he was harassed and when he DID lose weight people got on his case for losing too much weight. The kid couldn’t win! He was also picked on for his height - all in good fun - but frankly it was too much. While the others were taller than him (except for Suga - who DIDN’T get picked on), all but RM we’re literally only an inch taller- at 5’10; but the time he finished growing, he was/is 5’9”. Army will say the members didn’t mean anything by it but they took it too far. So between his ‘fat’ body and ‘small’ height, you get a picture as to his physical insecurities. 2. He didn’t have an ED, what he had developed were bad eating habits to deprive himself of food WHILE he was shedding weight, BECAUSE of the online bullying and abnormal focus by everyone else on how he looked. What they don’t tell you is that when the others were wanting to lose weight - particularly in preparation for performances/ concert tours, they ALSO would use drastic diet habits to limit their food intake. 3. Though the kid literally has the voice of Angel - a voice that’s so unique and rare - he is the ONLY vocalist of the 4 who didn’t get vocal lessons in those early days. To this day, God only knows why that was the case; but during those years, all he could do was watch the other members’ voice lessons, take what he could get out of them and practice on his own. Nevertheless, they gave him virtually all of the difficult song parts that required super high notes. Notwithstanding any occasional mistakes, he killed it. Anyway, I felt like this had to be said because the narrative about JM was, in a sense, was in part - a big part - contrived and/or caused by EVERYONE around him - including their label (and of course haters too). The kid is a legend and it’s because of his own strong will (mental strength) and emotional intelligence. There’s nobody else like him!

@@ArmantoAlex13 It has been a while since I posted anything. Life has been busy and I don't have a lot of time anymore. This is not an exaggeration....I literally have no time, cuz I'm going to school full time. I will be back one day tho. In response to your comment, I'm just gonna go numerically. 1. I feel like the IDOL perspective automatically puts you in the realm of "am I perfect?". That's a bad place to be in for anyone. I'm sure there was also roasting from other members, and of course the public only sees what the media wants them see...and JIMIN being sensitive and loving, probably didn't handle it that well cuz he really wanted all the great things for himself...not to mention others. I get that way a lot too. I can hang, and I can be "one of the boys", but in the end it wears on me and can be hard to push that out especially when it hits closer to home on something I really want. 2. I remember the drastic dieting from another video I had watched, I wanna say from, The Rise of Bangtan. Intermittent fasting is one thing, but to deprive yourself is another. 3. The fact that he didn't receive voice lessons makes his voice even more spectacular in my eyes. It also explains why him and Jungkook go through voice practicing together sometimes. I remember seeing that for the first time and I thought JK was ridiculing his abilities, but later found out he was trying to help. So that makes more sense, now that you mention it. I appreciate the comment and I hope you are doing well. I miss doing reactions so terribly, but am in school for 3D design....which, if you keep watching...you'll discover, is a result of this channel and all that I did. There's many sayings in ARMY, and one of the ones I feel the most is that "You find BTS when you need them". So you have found them, and you don't have to have anyone's approval to say you are Army or a fan, but I can tell by the comments and sincerity in your videos that you have it even if you don't need it. 💜💜💜💜

If you want to listen to the song 4 o’clock by V, it’s on soundcloud (like a few of their self produced songs are). A bit of background knowledge behind the song is, V (with the help of RM) wrote this song with the feeling of waiting for his best friend Jimin in the park in the early morning just before dawn. It’s the first song that he wrote himself (with a bit of help cuz he was still learning). He then has written a few songs about jimin as well, the next one got rejected by the company, they said it wasn’t fitted for 2 males to sing together. But his most recent one, “friends” is in bts’ album “Map of the soul: 7”, talked about their friendship. V wrote the lyrics and Jimin composed the song. Anyway sorry for the long comment! I just love his voice and songs so much! Thank you for your content in this difficult time, hope you and your wife will figure things out. Best wishes✨

"Oh they're Linkin Park fannnnsssss ohhhh thank God!" - Also my reaction when that video came out hahaha, welcome, fellow ARMY :D Edit: "I wonder if they have fun practicing their dance moves or if it seems like work." They practice hours on end, and of course they'll take it seriously but they do have some silly dance practices. They have quite a few Halloween ones that are fun to watch, as well. One of my favourite to watch is their "Just One Day" dance practice. There are 2: A silly one (appeal ver.) and a normal one. They also have a few War of Hormone dance practices, including a Halloween one. I tend to like those ones because you get to compare between the videos vs other dance practices that might just have the fun version.

the clips shown of jimin being hard on himself are fairly old, and hes a lot more confident nowadays. hes still a perfectionist (as they all kinda are) but he now has a lot more self confidence and less insecurities. jimin went through a very tough time when he practiced many unhealthy habits and did not have a healthy mindset, and he struggled a bit with disordered eating and other problems. although I'm sure hes not perfect, he has been doing much better now and truly loves himself (at least most of the times) and he has all of the members and army to support him!

I've been their fan since 2014 and I've seen this video at least 200 times and I still watch it without skipping with every reactor that I feel is genuinely interested in them. Real ARMYs are never bored of BTS content and we love watching others fall in love with them or at least get to know them enough to respect them and what they stand for. Any ally is a win, since BTS has been facing xenophobia, racism, discrimination for a long time and they still get snubbed and looked down upon or used as the butt of the jokes by thousands of people. ARMYs will do whatever they can to support, protect and promote the boys and not because we are obsessed with them or their looks. Many times the lines are blurred between standing up for them and standing up against injustice. Many people enjoy vicariously any small or big victory or achievement or milestone or any wall they manage to break, because it feels like there is hope for any of us if together we can make it work for them. If you stick around long enough, you will come to understand that what BTS inspired and set in motion (without even realizing) is more of a movememnt than a fandom. People join the community because of them and the common love for their art and them as individuals is the glue, but many times ARMY operates as an autonomous entity. Many times we get involved in things that BTS does not even initiate or endorse. I think the worst misconception people have is that ARMYs are brainless followers that just jump when BTS tells us to. In reality the relation we have is like family, where you love and respect e/o and you can be your own person without being expected to just blend into a "mass". There are books beig written about ARMY already and specialists from many fields try to study and understand us, because they see us and BTS as outliers and annomalies. How can people from all over the world, from all walks of life, all age groups, ethnicities, races, using so many different languages, having different religions and sexual orientations come together and move in harmony? They think there is some recipe they need to learn in order to replicate it. When in fact it's very simple: you got 7 boys that are GOOD people and worked hard to follow their dream with the belief that spreading positivity will make a small change in the world. And that snowballed into this... it's just peopple gathering around that positivity much needed in these times. I hope you will have a nice experience interacting with ARMYs while discovering BTS and their work. Sending best wishes for your family, I hope you fing another job soon! Also thank you for being so respectful and open minded toward the boys! trust me, It doesn't go that way MANY times! 💜

I've really been enjoying your BTS reaction videos. So many reactors jumped onto the BTS bandwagon once they realized it would guarantee a huge increase in views, but so many of them feel insincere. You're different. I value your reactions, because they're genuine. You're honest and I feel like you actually see past all the boy band & screaming girls hype and you "get" what BTS are all about. It's not just about their looks. It goes much deeper than that, but many people don't take the time to look deeper, or to approach it with an open mind. Their appeal transcends age, language, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc. I believe it's because the boys themselves are genuine. Despite their meteoric rise to fame, they remain grounded, humble, and relatable. They have such a strong support system with each other, and a strong sense of camaraderie. They've formed a strong bond with their fans, too - they draw you in and make you feel like you're one of the group, too. They give you the feeling that if you ever got to meet them in person you could be great friends and have a blast hanging out together. I'm a white, English-speaking, 42 year old wife and mother, never listened to a boy band in my life, but somehow find myself relating to the boys on levels that are hard explain. My personality is a blend of Jimin and V. 🙂 I never intended to become a fan, but looked them up out of curiosity a few years ago. I watched their "Danger" dance practice video and was immediately mesmerized by their talent, work ethic, and precision. At the time, I was going through a really scary season of life with severe health problems and no answers... watching BTS (not just the music videos or dance practices, but also their interviews and RUN BTS! episodes) brought a smile to my face and was able to cheer me up and help me endure a very dark time. Thanks for having an open mind and not immediately writing them off as something just for screaming teenage girls. Many of us older fans have faced mockery or being misunderstood by those who don't get it, so we really appreciate it when someone like you comes along! 🙂👍

I felt similarly at first about the ARMY monicker when I joined the family about a year ago. But that is really what I feel about it; it’s like a big family. We’re all different in our love for the members and their music, and that’s wonderful! And I can see how much you’re enjoying the journey into learning about BTS, so as several others have already said: You are ARMY! Welcome to the family! 💜
