A great react. Ida S is an absolute gem of a youtuber. She has done majority of her videos around Jungkook and her work is really stellar. She honours him as a singer and artist, and gives lesser importance to stereotypes and meme-like themes that Internet is full of.

the clip where jungkook was interviewed in the beginning, that u felt like it pulled u in, was actually from a Korean TV show they appeared in earlier this year, they had interviews and a few mini games and even met an army! it was really wholesome to watch 😞💕 it's called "(BTS on) You Quiz On the Block" if u want to watch their full episode one day,,, as for the one where jungkook was listening to a recorded message from taehyung at around 12:00 this is from their winter package, they all recorded a message for another member and then sat down and listened to each message, they didn't know they were going to actually listen to each one as a group before the staff informed them, so it was like a surprise 💕 they actually do things like this often, for example they've done so in bon voyage, in run!bts, in their seasonal packages, and in their seasons greetings(new years package), theres might be more instances but that's all I can think of right now,,, theyre always so genuine with their feelings for eachother its sweet :( ♡ the show where yoongi was talking about jungkook, was "(KBS special talk show,) Lets BTS", I think if u search this on google you'll find it ! 💗 the section where it showed background vocals for many songs, im not entirely sure exactly how it's done, but I know that people who do these (there's many of these background vocal videos on yt) they take the song and put it into a program (some use the program Audacity others use other programs) where they mess with the settings of the chosen audio and somehow are able to bring forward those background vocals and adlibs and lower the main vocals,,,,, the guy who had the clean separated vocals of bts "Magic Shop" was DJ Swivel, who's worked with them on many songs and also happened to work on Magic Shop, which is why he had those isolated vocal vocals in his hold. fun fact about me: I really love listening to hidden vocals, THEYRE SO PRETTY 😭💕 a guide vocal is like the demo?? like the first draft to have an idea of how the song will sound and be sung about jimin asking jungkook to help him when he was sick, usually if they're gonna make decisions like this about singing on stage and stuff they don't really have to request any "higher ups" for permission, they usually inform some of the members and audio staff so they're aware of the change,, and no "higher ups" get mad because bts have that freedom to do what they feel they need to do their best performance,, only if it's something big where someone really got injured then they'd discuss other ways to carry out the performance, but nobody gets angry, bts and their staff are quite understanding of eachother and treat eachother with mutual respect,,, and as u know they also have this respect with Mr bang, as well as with their managers and their in-house producers and such,, they have a very free working environment where they're not controlled or anything, especially now after all the success they've brought to the company, they of course get treated well ♡ ~~~~ now about jungkook, he never fails to amaze me, I adore him so much and I'm so proud of how far he's come, his voice is always so beautiful to listen to, I never get tired of it, he adds so much to the group and their songs, im glad we have jeon Jungkook in bts 😞💗

The guy who showed the harmonies in Magic Shop is DJ Swivel. He's worked with BTS on several songs and did the mixing for Magic Shop. That's why he has all the isolated tracks for it.

Jungkook is a great singer. He's the main vocalist bcz he's not only a great vocalist but also bcz the huge responsibilities he takes for the whole group. You'll always see him singing on behalf of the whole group bcz he represents them in the best light. The work of a main vocalist is so much, especially in behind the scenes and in the studios.

I agree with all of this. I was missing a lot of context on WHY he had the title...I have since been educated from the video and the comments. JK works very hard and there are a lot of reasons he is my bias...my favorite being his humbleness. If that weren't true, why would I have had that thought, you know...cuz he doesn't flaunt it...he has all this skill and still acts like it's no big deal. Which is why I was like...I didn't know he was considered lead vocalist

@@INF1NIT3SIN 36:16 I think you’re confused about the fact that the person put the clip of jungkook singing with jimin when he was sick in before she showed jimin asking jungkook to sing with him… but after that he went to RM to let him know that jk was going to sing with him for “the untold truth” lol jimin and jk weren’t being questioned about it… the creator just showed the end product before the explanation… jungkook is exceptionally respectful and he would NEVER step in to “take someone’s spotlight” or anything like that… jungkook is incredible all around and I think bc of that you kind of have the same assumptions a lot of people do before they really get to know them.. jk is the most insecure member of bts and will be seen crying in between songs bc he’s not happy with his performance.. he’s gotten a bit less critical as he has gotten older… but the only one that doesn’t know jungkook is the exceptional singer and performer that he is… is Jungkook. In his mind he will never been good enough and never be working hard enough even though he’s such a hard working, passionate and humble person with so much talent… don’t let his ability cloud your judgement about him and who he is as a person…. He’s pretty much the opposite of what you’re thinking he is lol he like himself quietly bc of his love for bts and army… IMO jk is a true empath in every sense of the word… he feels things so intensely that are happening to the people around him… it’s never about them. I know what you were saying at the beginning, but "main vocalist" is Jungkook's official title in BTS. These titles have more weight in some other kpop groups in terms of hierarchy though, I think. In BTS, it's like RM is the leader, but it doesn't really put him above everyone else in the team, it just describes a specific types of responsibilities that would usually be assigned to him. As far as what Jungkook was talking about in the clip where he's interviewed by J-hope... The way I also understood that was like technique vs. personality. If you have someone who is technically perfect, but their art lacks heart, it doesn't really work. And if you focus too much on perfecting something on the technical level, what can happen is that you learn it in a way that inhibits your ability to effectively put your own personal flavor into it. Like if you learn a certain type of vocalization for certain vowels, you can then get stuck in only singing them that way, because you learned it's the "proper" way, but then there's no heart in your singing. Plus, Jungkook is a perfectionist, so if he put his heart into vocal lessons, he would then feel the need to sing everything perfectly by the book and might lose what makes his vocals unique.

What makes Jungkook a main vocalist, is the amount of work he does on most BTS songs, including the rappers. Most vocals you hear on a rap song, he has laid the guide track, may also layer vocals! He also records the guide tracks for most of BTS songs, layers and does harmonies, does most of the adlibs.

Great reaction vid - one thing I’d note is that he doesn’t just sing the main and ad libs but sooo much backing vocal. This means like 90%+ of the time when the others are singing or rapping, you’re hearing him as well, either doubling or harmonizing. You can’t always pinpoint it in a performance or even listening to the recording usually because of the way they sound mix it, but if you can isolate it, you would hear multiple versions of JK’s vocals under whoever is singing. This is true for all the members to some degree, but particularly for JK. In performance, he has to pick and choose which parts he wants to highlight but the backing vocal runs throughout and it’s funny sometimes you see JK harmonize with multiple versions of himself. Also, the guy with the vocal track was DJ Swivel and he helped produce the song Magic Shop (and others). That’s why he could isolate JK’s harmony backing vocals.

I thought it was extremely interesting to watch DJ swivel show us that specific part. I knew it was thing in music, but I was not aware they did it. So I learned that by watching this...it also makes me understand the lives and why they sound slightly different than the studio version of their songs. It helped me out a bit in that aspect, among many others

Ida S are great! She focus on Jungkook on her channel, and I really do recomend all her videos! She have some ot7 videos like "An introduction to the 7 members of BTS 2021 update" (amazing introduction) "Bts dance break practices" and so on.

On the album credits its shows who wrote composed and produced the songs. But not everything of what they do is listed.sometimes they talk about the other stuff they do They also help choreography the dances Jungkook directored the music video of life goes on.

JK is DEFINITELY the main vocalist. Perfect pitch, Harmony, and ab lib KING. He deserves and earned that title.

Jungkook is the king of vocal in k-pop🤟💜

There is a certain BTS “sound” that is clearly present, despite all the different genres and styles of BTS’s songs. That “sound” is hard to put your finger on, but I think it actually comes from Jungkook’s voice. His vocals are both the foundation of BTS’s catalogue, and the glue that holds everything together. Even when you don’t realize he is in the background, the song just wouldn’t sound right without his voice there. He’s able to tailor his vocals to suit the song and to blend with the other members so that he enhances what they are doing, instead of being distracting. In fact, it can be easy for some fans to take him for granted, because he is so reliable and low-key about all the work he puts in. He’s such a lovely, humble guy. 😌 I’m really glad that Ida S. made this video, because it gives us all a better understanding both of Jungkook, and the role of Main Vocalist. We are able to clearly see and understand RM’s role as Leader, or J-Hope’s role as Dance Captain, but the Main Vocalist role is less well-known, particularly to new ARMYs and international fans who are less familiar with the “official roles” in K-pop. I’ve noticed that some fans misunderstand the title of Main Vocalist, and think it is just another way of saying who has the “best voice,” or whose voice is one’s personal favorite. Clearly, there is a lot of responsibility and work that goes with the title, and although each member of the vocal line are great at what they do, only Jungkook has all the necessary skills to fulfill that particular job description.

First part: I agree 100%...the truth of the matter is that I've been noticing his participation or involvement more lately...a couple vids before I noticed, but didn't say anything. A lot due to me not wanting to show any kind of "who is better than who", but I also had just seen it...so I didn't know if it was just the song. Part two: Ida S did a great job showing me the REASONS that JK is in that position and why her first screen was valid in saying what she said. I do agree with the immediate recognition of the others and what they do or the roles they hold for new comers. The misunderstanding part...I feel is something that happened with me and the way i initially interpreted it. I think that JK is the best fit for that title after watching this. I just wasn't aware they actually HAD titles, lol...but...that's why I do this...to learn

The interview segment was from a tv show they did. Each member talked about their experiences being with BTS. The 15yr old is Korean age. He became a trainee for BH at the International age of 13 in 2011 for BTS. BTS wasn't finalized until 2012 when they added Jimin to the group. He was 15 when they debuted in 2013. The man who has the parts isolated is DJ Swivel (pretty famous producer, he's worked with Beyonce and many others including JK for his song Euphoria) he produced their song Magic Shop which is what he was showing you. No, RM asked Jimin in a part right before what they showed us how was Jimin doing and if he needed help. That's when Jimin said I already asked JK and RM was like that's good but not to push too hard. RM being leader checks in on the guys especially if he knows their sick or having troubles etc so that's why Jimin was telling him. The bosses don't have any issues with them changing things based on illness or injury. In fact usually changes are done by them with their performance director. Some times the guys do things on the fly, like adding something or doing something differently. As long as it's not ruining the flow of the song or the choreo or injuring themselves, they pretty much can do what they like. They know what they can and can't do physically and in relation to how they like to conduct themselves and that's their guidelines.

As I read through. My mind went to every part you were commenting on. Clear and concise. I like it.

I personally don’t really think about the higher ups since we always see them make their own decisions. And you will see them explaining stuff to the members a lot because as a team they have to make sure everyone is on the same page before the show starts because after that you bet it’s hella chaotic. And when sth unexpected happens ON stage, one of them would make the decision, tell one member and without questioning they’ll pass on the message to all seven of them in seconds. It’s fascinating to watch honestly lol

I knew all this...am proud of the shareholders part for sure...gives them the creative power to do what they want without supervision...well 100% supervision, lol. Thanks for the reaction 🙏 I hope you changed your mind about the position of a main vocalist after getting some insights. The video is a great compilation which shows what Jungkook does behind the scenes as the main vocalist. Many people, even many ARMY, are not aware what responsibilities he has and some say he is the main vocalist, because he has the most lines and is the most stable live. Yes, he is the most stable live and can sing right on the spot and acapella perfectly, but I think it is more than this. The music critic Kim Yongdae stated in his book that Jungkook has perfect pitch and the producers, who worked with him, are all impressed with his range and vocal abilities. For example, one of the producers of his solo My Time Sleep Deez said that Jungkook has a crazy range after working with him. After Jungkook tweeted the demo of his song Decalcomania many people were confused and shocked to hear his lower register, some people didn’t even recognize him, because Jungkook does not show off his abilities in BTS’s songs as much. He said in an interview that he wants to make the best of his voice in a given song, go with the flow of the song and not to show off. Jungkook has also a good ear and as V said in the japan Hulu interview Jungkook has a good basic rhythm. In their latest backstage content from the Memories of 2020 DVD we can see that Jungkook did the harmony with J-hope‘s rap for their song Save Me in their tiny desk performance on the spot after J-hope suggested it spontaneously. Perfect harmonies, ad-libs and runs are not easy to do and he masters them all and comes up with his own ideas as we could see in some backstage footage, for example in the recording of their in the soop theme song or his solo euphoria. He has a lot more to offer as a vocalist, which is often not shown or what we as consumers hear or see later through their documentaries or from their producers or the other BTS members. Especially with someone as Jungkook, who barely talks about himself, just when he is asked. I mean we got to know that he choreographed a part of his solo My Time from Jin later or that he did a lot of work for their song Jamais Vu from J-hope, even if Jungkook was not credited, just to name a few examples. BTS members talk always highly about him and call him genius and the most talented in regard of vocal and singing abilities and I think they would know best, because they have worked with him for 10 years.

So my comment at the beginning got highly misconstrued. I wasn't doubting his abilities or his work ethic. To me it seemed like...to establish ONE person, in a group I admire highly, with a title seemed wrong at the time. I won't lie and say I didn't notice it already...cuz I did. I just have the mind set that they all have their abilities that make them unique and great at what they do. NOW...I didn't notice the aspects of how MUCH it actually was and to hear the guys say that he is the Main Vocalist is enough validation for me, but I was more concerned with the aspect of isolating ONE as better than the other. Take that comment with a grain of salt...it's not meant to be demeaning. I agree now that he works hard, he has way more talent than I knew. Maybe subconsciously that's why I geared to him as my favorite, I can't really tell you why...JK just calls to me. I just felt at the time that highlighting things would be counterproductive to my view of the group. I still wanna see other vids on the other guys. I learned a lot from this vid and I'd like to learn more about the rest of them. Ida S did a great job with this vid and I know that channel is JK focus NOW...but I didn't know that going into this video. I will agree that this video changed my perspective for the better on the title...but I wanna know the other boys' titles and their accomplishments individually, as well.

@@INF1NIT3SIN Thanks for your answer. Personally I don‘t see it as isolating one as better than the others in general, but rather as giving credit where credit is due. They all are mad talented and work hard, but they all have their own strength and weakness. This video highlights JK‘s strength and shows his responsibilities within the group and what he contributes to the group. Just to clarify: It doesn’t mean that the other members are less talented or contribute less to the group in my opinion. As a main vocalist he has different tasks as for example RM as the leader or J-hope as the dance leader. I kind of felt like explaining more about JK’s talents and abilities (so sorry for my long original comment 😅), because what I noticed being in this fandom since 2016 is that many people, especially new ARMY, just don‘t know what it means to be the main vocalist and how much extra work it is, so JK is often discredited in this regard, often based on having a strong bias and favoritism of a vocal color from another member. Hence why I appreciate this compilation from Ida S and I know many people, who were surprised how much JK does in the background and how much talent he has. Have a nice day 💜

don't worry about the length of comments...I read all comments and even when it's a book in the comments, I make my way through it and do my best to understand the context. I see your perspective. Granted, I knew he did a lot, but didn't know the extent or misunderstood it, rather. I know have a lot of stuff up, but this is the first SOLO focused thing I've really done, minus the wings songs. I'm fulfilling requests I have from Patreon members that won a reaction and this is just the one that was up next, lol. It wasn't meant to showcase anything, but I'm glad I watched it, cuz it helped me understand the intricacies I didn't know. I really need to find a vid for each of them so I can dive in on each one

I think the higher ups are perfectly fine with Jungkook helping them out when they are sick/absent. The higher ups do give BTS quite a lot of freedom and trust (they're pretty close with each other and are like a family type of company,,,, not so much your stereotypical controlling company). Jimin was explaining to RM that he wanted Jungkook to sing with him, probably just as a heads up before the show. Imo, Jungkooks strongest ability is having the most stability at singing and dancing at the same time (with little to no mistakes),,, that is probably why the members are always asking him for advice to try and improve themselves. Btw, I really appreciate your commentary on this vid and some explanation on the vocals

yeah I saw that after I rewound, but the thought was still there. Something you can assume but never know unless you were in that situation...i respectfully think bang wouldn't treat them like that...with the love he has for the boys...but my head thinks different things and just asks questions. @@INF1NIT3SIN the creator put the clip of them singing together before she showed the fact that jimin had asked him to sing with him during “the truth untold” and jimin was just giving rm the heads up… but the performance that is the one that jimin asked jk to sing… is the clip directly before that. No one was questioning anybody about why jk sang with him lol if that makes sense. Pretend that clip was after the whole jimin asking him and jm telling rm. Jungkook is my bias and yoongi is my wrecker as well…. I hope you can see that jk is kinda the opposite of who you think he is. There’s nothing wrong with being proud of your hard work in the way you’re thinking it’s how he is saying things… but once you get to see more… I think you’ll see that. He’s very insecure and very hard on himself and never thinking he does enough or he is good enough unless he works himself “to the brink of death.” He literally said that… he also said he worries about of bts ever disbands.. bc he looks at himself and he sad he’s nothing, he has nothing without them… like he thinks so low of himself that he doesn’t see how hard he works and how good he is. Him being my bias makes it really hard to watch… but jk is an empath… he feels things very intensely and I think it’s easy to look at him and what he does and assume he is confident in himself… I really wish that was case… bc he deserves every bit of praise said to him or about him. You have to remember that he is the youngest member of the group… and that he’s a sensitive and emotional loving person… he’s literal euphoria… and don’t think I’ve ever seen him angry lol but yeh… I think you’ll see that with time

Yes…the vocal guide is what the producer want the song should sounds like…so JK study and learn the song first then he gives it to other members to practice their lines…see how much time and works he does in each songs?

Jungkook is a perfectionist

JK did a lot of behind the song….works or background….he was credited in most of their songs…that’s how important his responsibilities,..as the Main Vocalist….

A vocal quide is literally the template they all follow. Unless you're an advanced singer, you can't just sing a composition by reading the score/using and interpreting producers' notes. Jungkook basically does that hard part for everyone, and then the other vocalists just listen to it and then it's basically karaoke for them at that point. It's much easier to sing a song if you have already heard it, lol. That's what the vocal guide is for. Jungkook is essentially doing what soloists are supposed to do, plus all the extras like harmonization that are usually commissioned to other professionals. And because he can just pull the vocals out of his head from producer notes (guide tracks are usually commissioned out to classically trained singers who can read/interpret scores), he's not only doing more than the other vocalists, he's doing more than the average pop soloist.

I've always wondered that about artists. Like some artists will sing songs they got from someone who wrote it and then they sing it in their own style...but did they have to get them to sing it, in order to know how to sing it....that's kinda where my mind was when i heard that he guides them....he gets the song...learns it via his talents and then shows the rest of the group and helps them learn certain parts....that's kinda what i see....am I wrong?

@@INF1NIT3SIN yeah, most of the time, the producer/composer would sing that song when they produced it, but in order to let the singer understand how they want the song been sing, either they'll try to record the guide themselves properly or they will find someone to record a guide (because not every producer is good at singing), and that someone (person who record guide) could be singers or could be someone good at singing but may not be famous.

@@kodaita7365 right....kinda like Bruno Mars...the man creates a ton of stuff and a lot of times he gives it to other singers to sing, cuz he knows it would be a better fit...but he really does a lot behind the scenes as well...so I can see the comparison in the process

JK is my bias also, but I do love the other 6 too. As I said in another message, they all contribute in their own ways and of course we know why dear JK is the main vocalist, that’s his area. As you saw from the video, he contributes massively with his vocal work, he worked primarily on his own to perfect his craft as he wanted, doing many of the guides for the other members (kind of like a demo), intuitively knowing what the producer wants, teaching/helping the other members. The others have their areas too and they all bring us the whole of BTS. One missing wouldn’t be the same and you said that was where your mind was at when you started the video. Makes sense. I know you didn’t mean to say Jungkook is getting too much credit. This video is just giving him proper credit for what he does. Great reaction. 💜

@@INF1NIT3SIN It’s what I thought initially, I know some people are quick to jump on others and sometimes it’s just a case of someone not knowing how much he’s utilized while we have some who complain about him getting too many lines lol. I think overall, especially these days, the line distribution is different to what it was. Jungkook is still used a lot for the guides, chorus, harmonizing, backing and ad-libs as well as his main parts on the finished track. Which was laid out pretty well in this video. As the main vocalist that makes sense. Plus with songs like Film Out (and a few others) he’s doing some writing too. He’s also tried his hand at producing a few songs. Still waiting on his mixed tape but he’s so busy and such a perfectionist it’s taking him a bit. He’s working on it little by little.

Jungkook will always be my bias. He works so so hard in such a young age to be the man that everyone need him to be. He definitely has the best voice in bts, not just because he is a great singer but because of the stability and responsibility that he has. He can sing everywhere, anytime and any song, when others idols don’t even sing acapela. He deserves this position and he deserves everything he is getting, not only because he is talented but he is the most humble and kind idol I’ve ever seen. He has the most beautiful heart on earth. He deserves everything. KING

I recognize it, but for me to say that ONE individual does more than another is like saying ONE member of the group carries the group and I don't believe that. It's a group. Each member is as uniquely important as the next, in my opinion. JK is my bias and I will always be more partial in the things he does. I agree with this entire video and was educated on the amount of work he puts in and what his role does for the group. As RM said, the group wouldn't be the same without him. To go along with that, I think back to when Yoongi was out with surgery and how it didn't seem the same without him. If one is missing, then it just doesn't feel right. So when I said "i dunno about that"...that's where my head was. I wasn't trying to say that he's not what this video portrays, but that I feel they all equally produce a lot for EACH OTHER...which is what makes BTS such a great group. They care about each other and their brotherly love makes that so much more than just, "who does more". This is just my perspective...the video did an excellent job to highlight and point out his attributions to the group and I'm glad I got to see it. Which is why I want to watch more like it, but with the other members being the focus. If I didn't fully understand JK's contribution....maybe I'm missing more with everyone else as well. Seems like it would cool to learn more about them all.

Just like Jungkook as the main vocalist, he does so much the other vocalist doesen't... Jhope is one of the main dancers, and he is considered the dance leader. It’s their roles and jobs in the team. JK didnt take vocal lessons…instead he sings like 24/7….he sings and practice every chance he gets….all the members can attest to that..

First of all, thank you so much for your sincere and educational reaction. I really loved it!!!! Regarding Jungkook not taking vocal lessons, I totally get what he was talking about. One of the most important reasons why BTS succeeded in the Western music industry was their vocal styles, especially Jungkook, main vocalist. People commonly said he has a pop vocal which is quite different from typical K-pop vocals. He could have lost his one of a kind unique vocal style with K-pop style vocal lessons. The producer who showed all the clips of Jungkook's choruses for the Magic Shop, he was one of composers of Magic shop which produced by Jungkook. And he is also famous since he produced the Euphoria. That's the reason why he had all production materials. He had shared Making of Euphoria with Genius Deconstructed session. @@INF1NIT3SIN Yes you were right. A lot of you have said was actually quite correct. Like you said, Jungkook had to record multiple times to get those layers. Yes he did. Jungkook goes over multi layers of vocal one after another, typically 3 or 4 layers, sometime it gets up to 9 layers. Members have mentioned many times he basically lived in the recording studio when the new album was in the production. This explains why. He truly works hard in the behind.

Jungkook what to a performance art high school. Just like jimin and tae.

Yes, though it was over two years after he had became a trainee that he started at the SOPA (Seoul School of Performing Arts). He had to audition for SOPA and there's a YT video of that. He and his voice were both beautiful even then of course, but even more so now! 😍💜💜

ok...I hit the end of your comments. I felt your involvement and had flashbacks for each one I read, lol. So at the beginning of this, I only made the comment I made cuz of the way the intro text was written. I was actually unaware any of them had OFFICIAL titles. I have heard hobi being main choreographer...but from viewers...not from videos or officials. I questioned it like anyone would in that situation, because I like to know why. The video did an excellent job of highlighting a bunch of those reasons. I feel there's more he does that probably weren't listed, but that just emphasizes the aspect of his efforts and talents for and in the group. I can agree now, but without that context...I'd still be in the dark about it. Ida S did a great job with this vid and I really want to watch some other vids similar to this but with other members, so that I can fully understand how each one contributes in the ways they do...both the ones I know AND don't already know about. This is indeed a vey very informative compilation and important for all ARMYs to see . For the average listeners who don't have much technical understanding of music , they miss out on the background vocals , adlibs , runs and harmonies that are mostly done by JK . But as I know you already are technically inclined towards music , you didn't miss out on JK's background vocals and adlibs behind rappers as well as the other vocalists in their songs , because of which you had the realization that he really does a lot of stuff vocally in the group . But I have seen a lot of people who actually realized and understood the enormity of JK's vocal contributions in songs only after watching this video , as much of his vocal contributions are not so blatantly visible and transparent for normal listeners ( as i mentioned above ) . I myself also , after watching this , started paying real close attention to the background , listening to their songs I've already heard , and realized how much of JK I could hear in the back !! He literally goes wild in the background and in some songs you can actually hear him singing the entire time in the back ! Now the members each have their own roles and responsiblities and bring their own unique flavours to the group and these are their positions in the group :- RM - Leader , Main Rapper and he is also a writer / lyricist ( he has credits for lyrics for many songs , too many !!) Jin - Vocalist , Visual of the group Yoongi - Lead Rapper , Producer (he has many credits in production of their songs ) and also writes a lot Hobi - Rapper , Main dancer , Sub-vocalist Jimin - Lead vocalist , Main Dancer Tae - Vocalist , Dancer , Visual JK- Main vocalist , Lead Dancer , Sub- Rapper , Centre of the group You already know the vocal line and rapline and Hobi and Jk are the sub vocalists and rappers respectively . Dance line consists of Hoseok , Jimin , Jungkook and Tae . PS - For the Main and Lead positions , the Main position is considered higher than the Lead in terms of the responsiblity and parts they execute and their strengths for those respective roles (singing, dancing or rapping ) If I have missed out on any of the members roles or titles , please correct me . I wrote this as I saw in one of you previous comments in this comment section that you wanted to know the official positions and titles of all the boys . And eagerly waiting for JK's first mixtape titled JJK1 ! Tae's mixtape is also to come titled KTH1 !

No problem at all ! I have a lot of content of yours to catch upon by the way ! All the guys bring something strong to the group . But there's no denying the fact that JK is the strongest vocal in the team in terms of technique and stability ( This is not about the 'best singer' of the group as it is something very subjective and individually oriented . It differs from person to person in terms of the singing style and the voice type they prefer and is a very personal space . We can't outrightly state such things ) Its about JK's superiority in terms of the techniques , skills , knowledge , stability and his deeper understanding of music . His ability to harmonize with rappers and vocalists , adding runs and riffs and to be able to bring a song from the producer's notes into a guide track for the group is amazing ! Our Main Vocalist indeed !

You should see…the adlib making of the Soop…how the other members did their part and how funny the others sounded and Suga had to cut them off and everyone pushed JK to do his thing..

That clip of JK talking about his experienced was a clip from their TV program guesting….

For me,i first heard Jungkook's voice in Masked Singer,i have no idea who he is,firstly of course he's wearing a mask,and second,i don't know about BTS that time. After hearing his voice,it was so captivating i had to wait til his face revelation. It's crazy yeah but that's how i discovered him and swear to myself I'm gonna stan this man,he's unreal. I guess my thoughts would've been immediately accepting if I'd know a little bit of the context...like the guys gave it to him or the company gave it to him...I didn't know that going in. It wasn't meant to be demeaning...it was just a moment I needed to think about. I've noticed his parts in different videos and thought "man he does a lot" but I try to stay neutral. I have my bias JK and I don't wanna downplay any other person's bias you know....it's just a double edged sword...gonna get cut a little either way

In the vid I didn't see RM at first, which is why I rewound the vid to see who he was talking to, cuz Jimin looked upset (he could've just been feeling sick...feeling sick makes people look differently) but I was concerned...that's all it was

@@INF1NIT3SIN you never can tell how the powers upstairs feel about anything, they probably didn’t care for that one performance but you just never know, it’s a valid question. I think the real reason Jimin was upset was because he hates letting down the fans. None of them do. They always take it hard if they can’t give 110%. The most reasonable people know that these guys are just human beings, not machines. They get sick, they get vocally or physically tired. It happens but the members hate it so much.

The guy explaining the harmonizes of JK…was the producer of their song…..magic shop…You should see his video on how he rpoduced the Euphoria of Jungkook, ….his name is DJ Swivel….

JungKook have a great responsibility for being the Main Vocalist of BTS. As a Maknae he really is incredibly amazing that he did his best to be worthy as Main vocalist. I liked that little “everyone is great” disclaimer in the first sentence very much. Everyone in BTS deserves their spotlight and I like that you put that into perspective at the beginning. That was a very quick subscription decision for me 😙

I can't imagine the group without one of them...it was hard for me to deal with Yoongi being gone when was for his surgery...but we managed...and although each has their own skills...i see the point of the video...but also now want to see videos about the rest of them individually

JK is my bias also. I agree with you about his vibe - but he just amazes me. My bias wrecker… hmmmm RM possibly! I love them all!! I loved watching you watch this as I learned a lot when I saw it and you gave it a little twist from your experience. Glad to have you as ARMY!

Woot! Glad you enjoyed! I appreciate that ARMY's can learn from other ARMY's and future ARMY's in this way...we all have a little bit to add to the puzzle.

Well they all took vocal lessons, dance lessons and all that while training to debut in bts… he hasn’t taken vocal lessons since they debuted… but jungkook was saying he felt like when he took lessons… he started losing the part of him that he was proud of… his style , his character vocally has been his focus and his technique was something he worked on in small steps bc he didn’t want to lose himself for the sake of technique… but he’s someone who people consider to be flawless when it comes to technique. I think bc jungkook is soo good that you’re missing a bit of who he actually is… he is not a proud, cocky or over confident.. quite the opposite actually … he is extremely insecure and very hard on himself… as hard as he works he always says he’s not doing enough… which baffles me bc he works SO hard and pushes himself far beyond what he should to the way that’s detrimental to him as a person. In an interview that wasn’t that long ago he said he doesn’t work hard enough… and that in his opinion he is not working hard enough unless he’s pushing himself “to the brink of death,” which as an army is so sad to hear him say… I still remember him talking about being scared if the group ever disbands bc he said that without them he is nothing… that without bts that he has nothing to offer. So he will never be saying that he doesn’t do one thing bc he’s confident in his ability… he never compliments himself and is a perfectionist.. I’m sure it will become more clear as you go along your journey. Also jungkook is one of two producers on “film out,” lol he said he worked extremely hard on making the melody.. “his voice” and I have no clue what that means… but he said he worked extremely hard on it… so that’s why there’s so many layering of his vocals… also jk is actually doing yoongis part with him in film out that you like. How bts do music videos and even live can be deceiving bc if you look at vocal credits… they are almost entirely jungkook … no other members with him… it’s purely his vocals layered on top of each other…. There are many vocal parts in songs where one person is shown singing a part… but it’s not their own back vocal… it’s jungkooks back vocal… so his voice provides the power for their parts a lot of the time…. But yeh he’s the only one recording choruses most of the time.. he’s also responsible of most harmonizing and definitely ad libbing…. The amount of hours he’s spent in the studio is insane and underrated… he’s definitely bts main vocalist bc it was the position he debuted in… bc of his vocal ability and understanding of music as a whole…. All the vocalists are good and have their strengths… but jungkook is definitely the best vocalist all around… even though they’re all incredible IMO

First off, thank you for your comment! I can see a lot of what you said in this video being explained throughout. I've always been an admirer of his abilities and his work, but the one thing that keeps getting misunderstood about my initial reaction is that it was not questioning his ability...it was in the first screen of calling him the "MAIN" vocalist...although it has now been proven through this video and I can see it in his previous works...my reaction wasn't to him...I know he's humble...I actually respect it. I've even asked...don't remember where...why he's not as active and shy all the time....but back to the point, my thought process is "I would never say anything to make one sound better than the other"...not cuz they are or aren't in different things, cuz obviously that's what makes the group so diverse and it makes them coagulate so well....but I was unaware of the title to start...and then for that to be the first thing I see...i fell into the trap of asking that question, lol..."why does he have that title" all of which happened in my head in an instant. The vid showed me why and I 100% agree. Ida S just did a great job in how it the vid was arranged...and I think for all people who are unaware of titles and for newcomers....this vid did what it was meant to do, lol... I'd never disrespect any of them...the vid was just well made, lol

I’m saying she didn’t just use the word “main vocalist” bc she thinks he is the best vocalist… that’s why I said there really is no need to prove anything bc this is his designated role in BTS and has been since the very beginning. I’m not saying you were doubting his skill level or anything like that … it’s why I said it’s not an opinion that army has… it is his actual title given to him by the group and bighit at debut in 2013. I understand not wanting to “say anything to make one sound better than the other,” however this is role and title … so trying to explain that this isn’t up to us on what position they debut as and in what role… it’s his official position … and not wanting to acknowledge that can be seen as a bit disrespectful to some.. like Jhope and jimin are both in the official role of being the main dancers, RM is the main rapper… and me saying that isn’t me saying they’re better than everyone else.. it’s merely respecting the title they were given bc it defines their role and responsibility and whats expected of them… bts have no problem with acknowledging each other’s positions in the group so it seems a little silly of us to think we know better lol so yeh it’s not our opinions that matter in regards to their positions… we only know these positions bc they have been posted since debut and referenced throughout any content they do … not saying your questioning his ability… but seem to be confused on where these terms and roles come from.. not a fandom thing… it’s a big hit and bts thing is all

@@INF1NIT3SIN you’re just trying to be kind and respectful… there’s nothing wrong with that. There’s so many very different things in kpop as opposed to where I’m from which is the US so it took me awhile to grasp the whole thing. It’s like a totally different world!!! If you haven’t seen “the rise of bangtan,” docuseries on KZread it’s a really amazing series put together by a bunch of army that took like 3 years to put together and it shows videos and clips form shows and stuff of bts journey even before they debuted bc they were doing video diary entries individually and as a group which is crazy to see how it all came together and kind of how they were before debut. It’s cool bc it gives an overview of how different kpop is to like the western music industry in how these groups are created and the process of being a trainee… and how money is everything in kpop and can literally hold you down if you don’t have that capital… the episodes are like 45 min or so and I think there’s 13 episode and then additional “bonus content” and “deleted scenes for each episode. It does a wonderful job of showing that bts was created and worked very different from the rest of kpop in pretty much anyway you can imagine …. It gives some insight to how other companies deal with trainees and an overview of the incredibly saturated kpop market per year. It’s nuts but I think really helpful in that sense! Totally up to you but it’s the most wholesome thing to see the young bright eyed boys so willing to learn , so polite and so driven to succeed… it’s incredibly inspiring! I saw your outro tear video and loved how you watched the speech did the lyrics and then the live…. Most content creators don’t take that kinda time… and I’m glad you got a glimpse of who they are at their core!!!

He is the vocalist I can trust performing live not holding my breath if he messes up ...he always pulls through! Jk live& studio version is the same..he deserve to be the main vocalist! And his adlibs...runs add so much to their songs...

I agree a run can add a lot to a song...sometimes I think too much can be too much though...not in this instance or any I've observed with BTS, but rather, referring to other artists I've heard do them...it's preference though...what I like and don't like won't always match up with another person's preferences...I see the purpose in them tho

In terms of person singing it, I don't think anyone could pick it up as quickly and do it justice...my question was never with the amount of work put in or the quality...it was the title....when I heard it, all I heard was a declaration with no pretext as to how....this video did the job of explaining why. I have also seen a list of all of their titles as it stands and am in agreement with most of it. I feel like there are more for each of them, cuz they do more than what was listed...but overall I'm content with what I learned from the vid.

To understand more the impact of Jungkook being the “Main Vocalist”, please react to one of the most important performances: Jungkook’s live performance of “If You” on the tv show, “the Masked Singer”, on Mel Galarza channel. 💜 The public at that time knew BTS as mostly a dancing and rapping group. JK said he went on that show to demonstrate their vocal abilities. As the “Main Vocalist”, JK represented the group and completely shocked the judges and public with his beautiful, live vocals! He completely changed the public’s perception of the group and they started to recognize the band for their amazing vocals as well. It was truly a pivotal moment for BTS. When Tae said “We were able to come this far thanks to you”, it is really true. The “Main Vocalist” and “Center” are some of the most important positions, and the heart and soul of the band’s songs and performances. JK earned both at only 15 years old! He is remarkable! 💜 Please react to this performance because he is extraordinary and it is also essential when understanding JK’s role and the history of BTS. 🌟💜💜

I looked at my email loaded with your patreon posts and thought... wow, you were really busy this week! :) This is a beautiful reaction... Thank you. Just ask yourself what you were doing when you were 13 years old... how many of us would have the maturity to handle that change by growing up instead of acting out. 38:02 i think it is more that jimin has such a unique vocal quality that it was hard for him to give the best vocal performance and that he felt like he was lacking, this part was in a docuseries from 2016/17 and there was a log jimin posted at that time sharing his insecurities and how he said that he felt like he couldn't sing well no matter how hard he tried, so it makes sense that he asked jungkook for advice, and since jungkook has a different voice quality he felt like he couldnt help properly at least that is what i think what they meant in that segment haha

I feel like we'd all be worried if someone criticized us over something like that. Something we take pride in and think we do well...to have someone tell you that you could do better would live in your brain rent free...I'm glad he proactively asked for help...that shows real maturity and care for the craft

the shows that some clips were shown at the beginning are: "you quiz on the block" (around min 7), "burn the stage" the series (NJ speaking, around min8) , then "Let's BTS" (around min12). You quiz and Let's BTS they did this year, they are really funny and insightful.
