He is not under-appreciated. Every person that knows who he is appreciates him. No one under-appreciates him.
I love how Chris goes for the extra swig from the second bottle.
I remember watching that show , and cry laughed at Chris drinking the “oil ‘ 🤣🤣
I always looked forward to those Chris Elliott appearances. Pure gold!

Taking it from the original broadcast tape helps.
Chris hits it out of the park every goddamn time.
Letterman was such an original.
This is my favorite Dave Letterman skit, especially the oil experiment.
There's no way Leon Schmirtz @ 3:22 isn't Jonah Hill's dad.
Chris does a similar skit with dog food. Hilarious.
It's amazing to me that Chris and Bob Elliott are father and son considering they're two of the funniest people in history.
Chris used to live under the basement I believe, I was watching Dave on daytime way before that. Chris is still one of my favorite B movie celebs!

Well... I'd really like to see that bit when Dave called the Russian embassy on two separate nights, and by the second call, the guy who answered the phone seemed genuinely scared and he said to Dave @%#$& you!. It was a hoot. It opened all the pores in my body. Very refreshing.

It's kind of a trick question. Neither have cholesterol. Only animal oils would have cholesterol, plants can't make cholesterol.

if letterman being the massive attraction he was ever had a comedy partner it was elliott. those two in the same frame was television gold.
