When it was mentioned that Lilith is married to Asmodeus I couldn’t help but think about Hazbin Hotel. It’s probably one of the things they got wrong because in their canon Lilith is married to Lucifer. It would be interesting if Asmodeus was Lilith’s ex boyfriend in Hazbin Hotel.

I always found Beezlebub to actually be more relative to Samael and some would argue the two entirely seperate as Lucifer is defined as the lightbringer in his days before the "fall", Samael on the other hand is also a leader of the Heavenly host in Judaism as the Angel of Death. Both names are entirely different and neither can be translated across languages except for the term Satan which means adversary or venom of God which is more of a title than a name. Some philosophers believe that Samael is actually the Demiurge of Christian philosophy , but my theory is he is the opposite, and in Judaism there exist 7 named angels in the upper hierarchy all of which are recognized as world making gods, the chief of the angels Samael the Angel of Death protested the creation of man. References in Psalm 82 its right there out in front Christians don't worship a monotheistic god because your faith never had one it was completely manufactured information the bible mentions many and god (unamed) is god of gods. Lucifer is one of the 7 but he isn't Satan but Samael/Beezlebub/Baal is and I believe that Lucifer was actually responsible for the creation story as described as a literal sun god it doesn't seem the nature of a benevolent god that brings life to the universe to want to destroy it or damn it. if you were forced to endure hell for your sins it would be that the angel of death doesn't ferry your soul to the afterlife and you have to endure purgatory endlessly.

Here in Germany there is an old fashioned way of referring to money or wealth as "Mammon" when it is used in a negative context like doing reprehensible things for money. It is not really used anymore these days.

We also have that in Finnish, where we have the saying "mainetta ja mammonaa", which usually translates to "Fame and fortune". In Finnish the word is more often used to describe a very large amount of wealth one has accumulated one way or another, regardless if it's negative or positive.

In the older scriptures and references, Angels were "THE warriors and protectors of Heaven working and fighting in God's name"... Let us not forget that human civilization was relatively primitive and that it was fashionable to respect "might" over all else. They had to be fierce to be respectable... and that invariably includes a certain aspect of "terrifying". It's also worth note, somewhere, that not necessarily all demons are specifically fallen angels, nor necessarily the sons or daughters of angels. Hell existed before Lucifer and others were cast out of Heaven... Stands to reason (even if not specified in the scripture we know) that God created Hell about the same as Heaven and Earth. It simply wasn't so important before the "Original Sin". Thereby, there would be demons developed (or developing) as the Keepers and inhabitants of Hell. They'd be tasked rather like the jailers or guards in a prison... to keep souls of evil, and fallen angels, and any others who were sent into perdition in Hell... To torment them as punishment for their sins, until they repent of their sins and seek forgiveness (depending on the particular scripture or reference you choose)... How exactly you wish to interpret this idea is up to you, of course. ;o)

For me, learning about the angels, the demons, the watchers, etc is easier to grasp than reading the religious texts in their entirety... I can "read between the lines" when it comes to relating The characters in scripture to everyday struggles... I like learning about all the different characters from all the different texts which confuses most as because of that I no longer fit my beliefs into one single category, I believe bits and pieces from all of religions and I don't understand why it's so hard for them all to get along when they're just all reading from the same book so to speak

Whimsy It’s a good theory but it could also apply to Pan. Early Christians had the habit of taking other religions’ symbols and making them the symbol of evil (see also Poseidon’s trident). That both Pan and Asmadeus are half animal isn’t that big of a coincidence, but they both have goat halves and only Pan has a connection to that specific animal.

King David had his soldier, Uriah, killed in battle by having him moved to the front of the line where the battle was most intense. He did it because he slept with his wife. He told Uriah to take a break from fighting and spend time with his wife. Uriah would not because he felt bad that his men could not do the same. So, you get the picture. Anyway, King David’s best friend was Johnathan, the son of his enemy. They remained best friends until Johnathan died. Sorry this is so long, but the stories of King David are my favorite.

@@Sevmarick I'm a nativeArabic speaker and in my language it just means what it means. "Beelzebub" is made up of two Arabic words: Bey (lord) El Zebub (the flies). In Arabic article "the" conjoins into its subject words, so "the flies" counts as just one word. We don't actually use this name in Arabic but if I were to write it out it would be "بي الذباب"

@@Zietoun i speak a little arabic to and i can assure you it is not arabic. And your lack of knoweldge surrounding arabic is astonishing. Bey is not an arabic word first off, it is a turkish word (very obvious so). second that is not the etomlogy of the word beelzebub. the Beel part toward the beginning comes form caanite/punic Baal. There are only a fuck ton of loan words from hebrew/aramaic in Arabic, mostly words that have to do with relgion. So don't lie

Actually Beelzebub is in Hebrew - Ba'al Zvuv(בעל זבוב) - meaning Owner of Flies - and as you said two words - Ba'al(Owner i.e Lord) and Zvuv(fly). Nothing to do with Arabic really, the name originated in the Hebrew old testament. It is just that semetic languages are similar. In the old testament, Ba'al Zvuv was the city god of Ekron. Just like Mammon is in Hebrew, Mammon(ממון) means wealth, and a source of money. Asmodeus is Ashmedai(אשמדאי) which comes from the Hebrew root ש.מ.ד meaning destruction. Leviathan is whale in Hebrew (לויתן) Satan(שטן) comes from the Hebrew root ש.ט.ה meaning stray - someone who strays from the correct path. and Belphegor is Ba'al Pa'ur(בעל פעור) - meaning Owner (i.e Lord like Ba'al Zvuv) of the gap.

Fun fact, the most common conviction for someone burned at the stake was murder. The title "witch" was primarily just added on and normally described a woman who had killed her husband or children.

Kinda funny how the demon of lust stopped seven men from having sex and was about to stop an eighth, only he was thwarted lol

Mammon used to pay attention to golden roads instead of God. Asmodeus was a Cherub named Asmodel before Archangel Raphael tore off his lion and Eagle head and cast him out of Heaven. Belphegor was a fallen principality who was cast out for not fighting God nor Lucifer, as he picked no sides, he was against God since he wasn't with him. So bro was kicked for being afk.

I'm 37 and this is the first I've heard of Satan and Lucifer being two different dudes. Somehow, that's worse. Now we have 2 of these mob bosses.

Well I think they are same person. I watched some videos where they are same entity,and one of the seven princes is azazel,not satan. Because satan and lucifer are same thing.

Yes, I agree he tries very hard to spread fake truths and false prophecies that defy the holy book. But that's just my opinion, and god has talked to me once. Back about ten years ago I had just got into a car accident and I saw flashing lights and a man in blue talked to me, and asked if I was okay, said it was a shock that I was still alive. I don't remember much after that. But when I woke back up in a hospital bed I never saw the man again.
