‘White hot anger’: Douglas Murray furious at book’s inclusion in counter-terrorism review

Author Douglas Murray reveals he felt a “white hot anger” when one of his books, ‘The Strange Death of Europe’, was placed on a list of suspect books issued by the UK's counter-terrorism Prevent program.
“And it only diminished a little when I discovered that other suspect books included the works of CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien, Joseph Conrad and also, by the way, owning a copy of 1984 by George Orwell,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“I promise you, it sounds like it was made up, but you couldn’t make this up.”

Do your own research about what has and is really happening. WHY do you think why has the DEMOCRAT administration spent over 100 BILLION dollars to protect Ukraine when American people are living on the streets and over 2 MILLION illegal immigrants, mostly gangs, murders, rapist, child sex traffickers and the cartels who have taken over the border and the administration seem to be more concerned about Ukraine than for the American people and their safety?

It’s terrifying, really. What has happened in to the curriculum in the public school systems in this country is beyond insidious. Imagine, brainwashing an entire generation to aspire to the top of the “victim ladder!” To be honest, I’m surprised that she not only knew of the word ‘cog’, but was able to use it in context. Sigh.. that video almost made me cry. Entitlement, ignorance, and emotionally volatility- a very scary combination & that’s the future we created.

The fact that that young girl can get in such an overwrought state reflects not on her but on her educators who are feeding her an unbalanced and biased narrative. If we weren't in a defence alliance, Putin would have the ability and the will to run over all of these in a week. None of these countries, nor NATO is a threat to Russia. So yes, NATO is just a too transparent excuse. There is no territorial threat to Russia from NATO. Even if Ukraine had also been a member. Difference would be Putin could not have attacked. Primarily because of the superior air defence Ukraine would have had.

Murray has also written the book "NeoConservatism: Why We Need It", which can be one explanation his views and "blind" spots. In general I enjoy his takes but in general I also have have quite a few disagreements with neo-conservative views and methods. E.g. how US has been propping and supporting numerous anti democratic factions just because they happen to support them at the time. E.g. US and UK were training, arming, financing and supporting groups like mujahideen in Afganistan, same people who later became bit more globally famous as Talibans. Similarly US was propping up and paving way to ISIS, or how about that whole Operation Condor which US performed across South-America? For decades those people (neo cons) have used The good official "we are supporting democracy", while same time helping and making various anti-democratic radical groups around the world to have more influence and power than ever, because it has short term benefits to support them. Then 10-20-30 years later complaining how those same radical people they were previously helping to gain power are now in power. But they are dictatorial and anti-democratic! Yes, they always were even when they got supported by so called western democracies which now complaining how dictatorial and anti-democratic those factions are.

We don't live in a free market economy Douglas. We live under a system of monopolistic corporate welfare for the rich and austerity for everyone else. If we lived under a free market system, the Government would not have spent billions of taxpayers money bailing out the banks. Under the free market as envisioned by Adam Smith, we also wouldn't have a few giant corporations controlling the economy. In essence, what we have today is socialism for the rich!

I'm reading a book about the Khmer Rouge; they started murdering people day one, hour one. They had sayings: better to kill 190 innocents than let one guilty go. Insane.
