I've been hearing this playing with words, definitions and numbers game for decades, trying to deny, misdirect from, offset or contextualize the deliberate murder of civilians by claiming that the other side does worse, or it "depends" on definitions, or it has to be seen within a broader context. But the fact remains that the deliberate murder and rape of innocent people is objectively wrong quite literally without regard for context. Not subjectively, but objectively wrong. There is no context that diminishes, explains, justifies or redefines what Hamas did on 10/7, and what preceded and followed it is of absolutely no relevance whatsoever. It was evil, pure evil, period, end of discussion. And what did the London blitz have to do with anything? That was over 80 years ago when munitions were far less capable than today, not to mention that the British did absolutely nothing to justify or provoke Germany other than defeating it in 1918 and subjecting it to harsh reparations, which didn't even begin to justify the blitz, which would no doubt have been vastly more destructive had Germany the means back then. Why are they always trying to contextualize evil? Could it be because they have to actually valid way to justify or explain something like 10/7, and aren't, yes, man enough to admit it? It just feels like this is less about Israel doing this or that than it is Israel's very existence shaming the Muslim and Arab world into realizing just how backwards, primitive and decrepit their societies and countries are. I really do think that this is about shame, not justice, humiliation, not injustice. Israel's creation and existence within less than 80 years of its initial Zionist settling was a massive wakeup call to cultures that had essentially been asleep for centuries, and a shameful and humiliating one at that. But instead of doing something about it, they turned to violence and lies. Yes, there were cosmopolitan carve-outs of Muslim and Arab society with educated and sophisticated professionals, in cities like Cairo, Damascus and Baghdad, but they weren't representative of the vast majority of Arabs and Muslims who were basically fallahin, or peasants, literally no more advanced than their 7th century ancestors. It's the latter who were humiliated and shamed by Israel's creation, and they've been lashing out ever since.

The doctor Just one of many that have wormed their way into positions of influence and trust within British society in the last 20 years... there is nothing at all british about the true feelings they harbour.

Douglas Murray's self control in the face of relentless interruptions is commendable. These speakers seem to believe that if they speak louder, if they talk over and if they quote unreliable sources they are winning a debate and therefore the hearts of viewers. I don't know who said it but the gist of "the bigger the lie, the more believable it will be" seems to be the basis of their approach. Wake up people! Don't believe anything you hear; don't react emotionally -be rational - check it all out if you want to be absolutely fair in forming your opinions.

An NHS doctor!?!.. as an international Medical Graduate working in the NHS I am in shock…It’s soooo astonishing how all this is allowed to go on, I am beginning to believe there is an undercover agenda in play..

lol. How all WHAT is allowed to go on? What specifically of the doctors words did you take most offence with? The ones he uttered or the ones Piers masterfully twisted on his behalf? As a doctor, I’m surprised by your lack of deductive skills although it makes sense being an international medic, you were probably just required to learn the sciencey bits without having to indulge in much critical thinking! Pity the PLAB doesn’t rule out those who lack such skills. As an employee of the NHS, you must have several Muslims in your team or work network - go ask them their opinions!
