🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

As a proud South African of Boer descent I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I am very familiar with the Afrikaner foods (braai, potjie, biltong, etc.) as well as the West Coast Cape Coloured delicasies (like crayfish and snoek). But man... I must say that I want to kick myself for not traveling enough up north after the African cuisine! I used to travel a lot for work but due to it being business trips I never had time to go and experience the other foods SA has to offer. After watching this series I just want to get into my car and drive up north to experience this lovely foods for myself! So I know what I'll be doing during my next holiday!! SA is truly probably one of the most amazing countries in the world! We just need to get a grip on unemployment, crime and electricity.

Well, as clearly seen in his Egypt trip fiasco, you can't make gold out of s*it, so there are clearly nice things to see in South Africa, even though there are some problems there as well. There are very few perfect places in the world, what really matters is people willing to work on making things better.

This couple look like nice good people... they respect themselves and obviously considerate people who are careful of what they say. Much respect to this couple. I don't know them I just respect them, I wish this was longer. It's nice to hear them speak.

I have eaten proper Afrikaner food as I lived in Pretoria for 2 years. I’m surprised because these guys used a lot of seasoning. The food I’ve tasted was, from old tannies admittedly, but very simple seasoning, like salt and pepper, with the focus on the ingredient itself, but surprisingly very tasty like it come straight from the garden. My fav is home-made condensed milk rusks and those pumpkin fritters made with cinnamon and brown sugar !
