WHIRLPOOL fixed SUD F35 errors with $5 and 4 clean-up tips

This video is a summary of how I fixed my front loader WHIRLPOOL washer; I spent a lot of time watching videos, because I wanted to try as much as I could before changing parts or calling the repair person. It solved my problem. May not work for you but worth trying. I hope this summary is helpful to someone.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your video solved my problem. It looked like a denim rag was stuffed in there. Since I had the right size star bit, I was good to go. You saved a $200 plumbing bill, eliminated an ongoing stress, showed my wife I solve problems and MADE ME PROUD OF MYSELF!

Awesome instructions, I did exactly as you did, I cleaned the contacts with a QTip and rubbing alcohol. I also blew into the tube with my mouth. I put it back together and ran the diagnostic and I got the C01 code. “I feel good” it took me under 10 minutes. Works great now. Thank you so much!!

Oct 2021; this video was a life saver. Had the f35 error just running the Diagnostics reset everything and is running normal again. However will be performing the same cleaning you did :)

Such a HELPFUL POST! Everything seems to be working, made it completely through the diagnostic cycle and two loads of laundry so far :-) What worked for us after cleaning the drain and finding a couple of socks but still getting the error code, was taking off the lid and cleaning the contacts of the pressure sensor like you showed. There was not really any build up on the little plastic piece that turns but we cleaned it anyway. So far so good! Thank you so much!

Thank you!! I think where the crust was is where my problem occurred. Because during the test that rotates clockwise, so I suspect mine was jammed. I also cleaned the analog pressure sensor and the front drain. Thanks!!

That is basically true FYI, I'll just give you a heads up that some people might take your comment to be of a bit of a put down 2 women). I definitely hope my next girlfriend is mechanically inclined like this - definitely cool.

I also had Sud/F35 error code. I researched the issue, replaced the water pressure sensor and fixed the problem. Not too bad for a woman.

You don't even have to know how to solder. You just need to know how to touch a soldering iron to the two 2200µf 10v capacitors and pull them from the board, then install the new caps. Costs about $5.00 for 4 of them and that is without searching for a lower price! Don't pay over $30 from other rip off artists on youtube, repair it yourself. A cheap soldering iron is only about $5.00 and will get the job done.

We did that, replaced capacitors and the machine was fixed for about 4 months then F35 again, replaced pressure sensor and worked for 3 loads. Then F35 code again. It goes thru diagnosis fine, there is now water in unit and still has error. If i put on quick wash it displays SUD I am running out of patients with this machine

D'oh! Did you ever discover the actual problem and if so, how is it working now? I saw another video that indicated that in the main control board there are 2 capacitors that sometimes need to be replaced. See if you can find that video if you still have a problem with your washer (and you're up for and feel qualified to be doing soldering repairs, etc.) would love to get an update though.
