Speed Trap 2 - Not an exact point on the track, just the highest speed achieved throughout the complex: Most cars hit their top speed on the small downhill just after the Eau Rouge apex/just before turning right for turn 3. Speed Trap 3 - Not an exact point on the track, just the minimum speed maintained throughout the complex: Most cars hit their minimum speed between the apex of turn 3 and the apex of Raidillon. This is perhaps the most significant indicator of the differences between each series because it’s the result of every performance aspect of the cars. The cars’ acceleration, achieved approach speed, and power to weight ratio help prevent speed loss due to the steep elevation gain, and the cars’ mechanical and aero grip helps prevent speed loss through the turns. Speed Trap 4 - Asphalt change after Raidillon: Tracking the exit speed difference between the cars. % Column 1 - Speed loss between speed trap 2 and 3: Easy to see that cars with a high power/weight ratio and a lot of grip don’t lose much of their speed. % Column 2 - Speed loss/gain between speed trap 1 and 4: Interesting to see that some cars gain speed overall thought from the beginning through the end of the complex (as I’ve defined it).

You can definitely take it flat out with 787b. It's either lack of skill (no insult here) or he didn't have the right setup for the mazda (wich i guess was the case, because if i remember right, you can't take it flat with the basic setup. Same goes for the 962c short tail) But i appreciate the effort he has put in the video and making a perfect setup for every car just to take eau rouge flat for the video would have taken ages.

Wasnt the Mercedes better but with less reliable? If so then maybe it can take it flat out
@SlipknotDrummer96
Жыл бұрын
@@EvrytForReal i didn't ever take it flat with Mercedes. Basically just because when you drive it on 100% boost it has so much power that you get too fast before eau rouge to take it flat. Mercedes C9 is the hardest to drive, but the fastest if you can drive it. Is it reliable? Not really if you drive it with 100% boost and damage. On stock boost it might even be slower than the Porsche. Porsche 962c is the easiest to drive fast with. Mazda 787b slower than the the others but with many work on the setup you can easily compete with the others. (The things i've mentioned are only for spa, things may vary in terms of different tracks and if driven by multiple drivers of course) For me personally the 962c short tail is the fastest, at least i've driven my fastest laps with it. Can take 3 corners flat with the Porsche.

@@R9naldo considering most modern gt3 cars have to lift on it I wouldn’t say that, running a lot of downforce just to make that 1 corner flat would compromise the rest of the lap too much
NASCAR may be outperformed on a track it wasn't meant to race on, but gosh dang it sounds sooo good, and seeing that black 3 livery... I love it man

The powers wrong on the 2000 stockcar they made less from reports of teams 800+ HP wasnt actually used in a race application until 2008 or 2009 they would be realistic running between 650-700 HP but otherwise I would say handling seems about correct they loved to dance around on high speed corners and where cumbersome in low speed
Now, comparing Earnhardt's car to Lagano's car in the other video, seems that the next-gen car's more refined compared to the early 2000s Nascar car, Inspite the power difference between the two. Great video by the way👍

Yeah nascars until the gen 7 (next gen) were very crude in many’s aspects outside of power. The new cars are more like a modern gt3 race car.
Was awesome to see the ATCC commodore! Would love to see more cars from that era!
I'm most surprised that the Mini didn't take the corner flat out, even with those little skinny tires. It makes me think that a car with minimal power, such as a Citroen 2CV or even better, an Isetta, would take it flat out and have bragging rights up there with those legendary racers. And very cool seeing Dale Earnhardt's NASCAR ride, even if only in a simulation. RIP Dale, and RIP Ken Block, who would have blasted through Eau Rouge balls out sideways. Two who are missed.
1:16 its amazing watching the IR 05 doing that turn so fast, actually every Indycar can do that turn so fast, even the moderns can do it
I think the 787b, the AR DTM and the cooper could make it, they slowed down to correct instability, but were well on the way to make it.
Why did you have to blur some of the car years out?
i wonder how modern and old cars would do in a big Lap Record List on the Whole Spa Course
