INGREDIENTS Bread • 1 cup whole urad daal, soaked • 1 cup green whole moong daal, soaked • (3⁄4+1⁄4) cup water (for blending) • 1⁄4 cup psyllium husk (isabgol) • 1⁄4 cup jaggery powder • 3 tablespoons flax seeds, roasted • 2 teaspoons lemon juice • 1 teaspoon rock salt Topping • 1 tablespoon flax seeds, roasted PREPARATION • Soak 1 cup green whole moong daal in water for 12 hours. • Soak 1 cup whole urad daal in water for 12 hours. METHOD 1. Place the whole urad daal and 3⁄4 cup water into a blender and blend until smooth. Take it out into a big bowl. 2. Similarly, blend whole moong daal with 1⁄4 cup water until smooth. Take it out into the same bowl. 3. Mix both the batters together. Cover with a plate and put it to ferment for 8 hours in a mildly warm place. 4. Preheat the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes. 5. Add the remaining ingredients into the fermented batter and mix well using a spoon to combine everything together. 6. Pour the batter into the greased loaf bread tin. Tap the tin to even out the batter and add the topping. Bake at 200 °C for 50 minutes. 7. Allow the bread to cool down for about 15 minutes before removing from the tin. 8. Slice, make sandwiches and serve.

When use the words like ‘clean’ and ‘toxic’ for foods it promotes unhealthy relationship with food. The best advice about nutrition I have heard on YT is “think what you can add to your meals and not subtract from”. So, if you take one or two white bread, add some protein (egg, paneer, peanut butter) and some raw veggies you have a good meal which will keep you full. However, if you eat half a loaf of “clean” homemade bread, you are still eating empty carbs. The more you restrict yourself from eating a particular kind of food, the more you will crave it. At least that’s true in my case.

Easier option : Opt for buying breads from local bakeries / cafes who freshly bake cakes and dont sell packaged bread instead of buying such packed bread. And also ask for wheat bread (or any other healthier option available there)

If the grains aren't at least sprouted you'll have all kinds of issues eventually. Our systems don't like the enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid in unsprouted grains.

Fun fact :- britania's white breads first ingredient is maida whereas Britannia's brown breads first ingredient is wheat and I think that brown bread Is good in real terms first I used to consume white bread then started using brown bread (talking about Britannia) And I can see the difference I also have tried other companies brown bread like modern but trust me Britannia was best ❤❤

I eat brown bread and its 100% wheat bread 🍞. I have read the ingredients and the first thing it says there is wheat ( atta ), and doesn't have maida written anywhere. So not all packed breads are just maida ma'am. And I have seen the maida( white/brown ) also, it is around 50-60 RS and so is my 100% wheat 🌾 bread. ( Here in district of Karnataka, Urban Bengaluru. )

yes i noticed, the brown bread we get contain only 38% of wheat and rest is maida!!!! that's why I prefer *farmers* bread 🍞 they are 100% maida free.... maybe that are much better..
