To me, there’s a reason most software vendors worked out that having versions of an application encompass all of the features of the lower tiers as you go up the food chain is a good a cohesive thing. Disparate features (FX for example) in different versions, weird strategy

i've been using antares autotune on audacity for a while now and there are some certain songs that i haven't been able to autotune like "way back into love", mainly because all of the keys that i select don't apply to it, why is that?
I was planning on getting just the efx+ version but would it be better if I got the artist version instead?
In logic pro x, there is a graph mode (flex pitch), not that developed but well, so i think the best choice is autotune artist
@purposebeats5839

They should make a pro+ version with all the pro features *and* the efx+. Now you need 2 separate licenses or melodyne for the graph editor.

Thanks for this video! I currently have waves tune real time and am thinking about switching to antares auto tune. I find it difficult to choose between pro and artist. artist is perfect but the pro is literally built in with melodyne or flex pitch just like in logic pro and I don't like the quality of flex pitch in logic. Did you try out the graph mode? What are your thoughts on this compared to for example melodyne? Thank you!
@RoyThompsonAudio

I compare Flex Pitch to Auto Tune Pro to Melodyne in another video! AT Pro is fantastic. I highly recommend it (both auto and graph mode) but I also use Melodyne often for manual work. You should also check out my autotune vs. Melodyne videos (there’s 2!) That will answer a lot of your questions.

Tracktion Waveform DAW is now available for free, or for $119 you get the Pro version with both Melodyne and Antares Auto Tune. This is a great deal because the DAW is superb and the tools are worth more than the price of admission. Note that Melodyne can be used on any DAW, but Antares license will only work in Waveform. That’s fine because you can save your final track to a WAV file and import it into any DAW.
@matthias4425

How do you feel about the UAD version? Compared to the pro? Especially since UAD has a holiday sale going on til the 31st
@RoyThompsonAudio
3 жыл бұрын
I have not used it! I don’t have any UAD stuff. I would assume it performs similarly, but cannot confirm. I’ve only used Auto-Tune within the DAW itself, Pro Tools and Logic. If you’re in the UAD eco system, maybe it helps with latency and workflow. Not necessarily a make or break thing for me, personally. It’s always a “post” production element for me.
I need help on putting auto tunes on melodyne
How do you buy it

Hi! I heard some reports of the current Auto-Tune being unstable on some systems... Did you run into any issues? Are you on Logic?
@RoyThompsonAudio
4 жыл бұрын
I use Auto-Tune Pro with no issues..I am a little behind though -- on Mac OS Mojave 10.14.5 at the moment with Pro Tools 2019.6 ...Haven't used it in Logic recently.
Hey, not sure if you or anyone can answer my questions, I don't know much about this stuff but my 10 year old son is right into this autotune thing and is pretty musical and tech savvy. I was looking at the antares efx. What additional items are required? Does it allow him to create his own beat? Melodies etc? Can he mess about with it by singing along to common songs by artists like with some of the playstore apps? Would he need a mic and headphones? Can it be used with teenage engineering pocket operator etc? Cheers
@ilysean
2 жыл бұрын
Antares Auto-Tune is a pitch correction software, meaning it's designed to receive a singing voice and correct it to certain pitches. It is not designed for making beats. To use it he will require a DAW to host the software. He will need a microphone and headphones.
What is the LATENCY difference, if any, between the two (Pro and Artist)?
@RoyThompsonAudio
3 жыл бұрын
Both have “low latency” modes. It’s the same for each.
@OverlookeDEnT
3 жыл бұрын
@@RoyThompsonAudio Thanks for the prompt reply! Yeah, I knew that they both had low-latency mode just wondering if they read as "identical latencies" since they're slightly different pieces of software. and saw another video comparing the two; unfortunately, they never went into the latency tab or show the difference in CPU usage.
@RoyThompsonAudio

I don’t believe it goes to 0 samples - try EFX instead! I always use it well tracking. If I need more control like vibrato or graph mode, then I’ll switch over to Pro.
@OverlookeDEnT
3 жыл бұрын
After downloading the demo. The CPU usage is the same in both and Pro's latency is slightly better at 2.31ms compared to Artist's at 2.54ms - (In FL STUDIO)
what about hybrid?
I bought both access and artist and the midi keyboard option is super glitchy (will pitch up a note without notice) and would not correct vocals as good as my FREE autotune plugin MAutopitch. Extremely disappointed and just waste of money, gonna check out waves.
So smooth! EverytNice tutorialng he says goes into my brain and sticks in.
How much cpu and gpu will my computer require in order to run autotune pro while recording live without latency ?

im stuck between autotune pro or artist, if theres anyone with experience I'd love for a weigh in on these questions: 1) How does pro comapre to melodyne (since I already use melodyne)? Does it have pretty similar graphical features? 2) What's the graphical workflow like? I find melodyne pretty clunky to be honest, I'd hope this one requires less click and mouse movement to work? 3) What do you think, worth getting pro if I already own melodyne? Thanks to anyone reading

If u are a singer (or rapper) and u just wamna rap in real time than get autotune artist. If u actually are more towards the engineering side and u like manually pitching notes than go with pro because obviously Artist doesn’t have graph mode. I don’t like graph mode because I find it unnecessary. If a note is off why not just re do it again? Itll sound more than authentic and natural (plus it makes you a better singer)

Seems like you might have found my other video on this question-I do think Logic has a great built-in editor, but Auto-Tune graph mode is much, much more powerful. Logic's is a great start if you're new to it, though!
Do they sound different. I saw a video where a person said that artist to then sounds better for some reason. Like why the fuck. I have autotunepro but I’ve been supremely disappointed on how it sounds, it doesn’t give me a good autotune effect like the warble autotune effect suer noticeable and if I max it out it doesn’t automatically pitch some notes still I’m like wtf this shit really fuckin sucks I can’t express certain notes with this and I noticed autotune version 4 or 3 I think, it really lets you hit the notes I saw some old videos on them. So I’m convinced that autotune artist or efx+ have a better sounding autotune to it. What do you think ?
What would you say is the beat buy out of them all? I’m looking to buy
