The problem isn’t necessarily their league position, it’s more arsenals. If arsenal were still 8th and spurs were 5th 3 points off top 4, there would be no issue

Can I say a brilliant show to watch you lads?. Well said Jamie and Gary. I agree with everything you said about Conte. Like you just said Gary, you’ve got to snap out of it’. I know we’re in a tough run because of the previous results and the media and of course what’s going on with our football club. I know the football is not great under Conte, all the other teams are getting better such as Brighton,Fulham,Brentford,Forest, they know our weaknesses, they analysis of our game plan and how we want to play, this is why we haven’t shown anything in all the games since we did well last season but when we played against City and Arsenal, when we lost,it’s never easy to recover from all the two matches but again,we’re millions away with United,Newcastle,Arsenal,City, I just think we’re in the transition, we need time and patience,we can’t keep sacking managers all the time, we need to support the team in good times and bad times. That’s all you can ask for.

I think it's a stretch to say that Conte has been fully backed. Yes we've brought in some good players, but we are still starting Dier and Davies who weren't even first choice back in the Poch era. And we're still haggling over Pedro Porro when the teams around us are getting signings done in no time at all. It's not the first time. Redknapp wanted David Silva. Poch wanted Dybala. Mourinho wanted Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias. Conte wanted Bastoni. We always go for either the cheap option, or spend ages haggling and ultimately miss out.

I think this spurs team there’s been a lack of creativity and some of the players in the lineup who haven’t played well haven’t been dropped and the team selection each game lies at conte’s door. It’s been stated in the media that with Conte has been struggling a lot with the death of his 3 friends so perhaps we haven’t seen the best of him so far this season cause of that, I just get a feeling that he may leave at the end of the season.

Now that Arsenal look like they could win the league and actually surplant Man City and Liverpool then it makes fans of other clubs suddenly criticize where their club is actually at after many years. Spur have sacked many good managers from the likes of Nuno, Mourinho, and Pochettino, and personally, I don't think sacking Conte will solve anything. As a spurs fan, I think Conte is a great manager, who has a lot of passion for Tottenham. Spurs are in the FA cup, the Champions league, and 5th in the prem. They are on track. Sacking a top class manager is not going to solve anything.

Compleatly agree with Gary, I'm a Spurs fan and I dont understand the Levy/Enic out chants. Get them out and then do what? Watch the manager and players leave and drop back to a mid table 11th place finish for 5 seasons to rebuild again? Levy has taken Spurs from a lower mid table to a confirmed top 10 in Eurpoe club with a brand new stadium in 15 years, what other club has done that during that time without a state owener or russian billionaire? He has done it by running a company properly and growing it bit by bit without taking stupid risks to this point. Does any Spurs fan really thank 10 years ago we could even attract Mourinio or Conte, no chance! Now we can get these big managers and the 100 million pound players will follow over time. 5th in the league halfway through the season, in the FA cup and CL is not an issue, stop moaning and support your team, if you dont like it go support Arsenal, they're winning at the moment!

Realistically though Conte isn’t one that stays for very long; we’ve seen that in the previous clubs he ran so if he doesn’t grab success (whatever that may be at spurs) this or next season he’ll leave and I’ve seen rumours that Conte will leave at the end of the season which wouldn’t surprise me

The issue is Levy’s ideas for Tottenham are incongruent with both what the fanbase wants for the club and the practical realities of Tottenham as a football club. He spends lots of money on his managers but Tottenham don’t have the money to compete every year with the likes of City, United, Chelsea and Newcastle. He’s hired 2 managers back to back who are infamous for requiring big money every year on every player they ask for with reputations for kicking off if they don’t get their way and they play negative football. Levy wants to bring short term immediate success to a club that can’t achieve that. But that’s also not what Tottenham fans want from their club. they want a long term project, attacking football and trust in their academy players. They need a club builder, not a results first man. They had one in Poch and, unsurprisingly, he was their best manager. That’s not a coincidence. His identity fit the club’s. But Levy doesn’t understand that. He thinks Tottenham are something they aren’t. They should have gone and got someone like Ten Hag, Potter or Simeone. Long term, project managers who build a culture within and around a club. His identity for Tottenham is unsuitable for them. It’s what he wants, but not what the club needs.

I don't say this very often, but I think Gary is right. Conte has been well supported, and while it is not exactly going the way any part of Tottenham had hoped, it is not an absolute disaster. Yeah, Arsenal are magnificent, City is City, United is surprisingly good and so are Newcastle. But you don't need to string together an unheard of amount of victories to jump a few positions. A couple of their new signings haven't lived up to expectations until now, but maybe in time they will. They're not great, but they are alright.

The only thing Conte has proved at Tottenham is that he’s not at the level of Klopp and Guardiola. How do you sign Bissouma, Peresic, Richarlison, Romero, Spence and get worst? This conversation about Conte not getting backed is the biggest myth in Premier League right now. Only valid reason for Tottenham not doing well is Conte is not emotionally right with some of the personal losses he’s had to endure this season, losing close friends is never easy, but to be fair, Tottenham have been like this all season. Sacking him now is the best for him and for Tottenham.

If Levy wants to compete with the other big clubs, then he'll have to spend more than $200mill. It's that simple. Newcastle have yet to flex their financial muscles as well. Just a matter of time before they pull a Chelsea and start splashing cash everywhere. The competition in the Prem has never been this fierce in the league. Arsenal/United/City/Chelsea/Liverpool/Newcastle/Spurs have the finances and coaches to compete. All of those teams have league title and Champions League qualification aspirations. But only the top 4 can claim a CL spot, though, with the 5th spot heading to Europa. So two of those teams will either be in the Europa Conference league or not qualify for Europe at all. Quite an exciting time to be a football fan.

Not sure about Gary's take here. Yes Spurs finished 4th last year, but the second half of the season was miles better than the first. Many people expected Spurs to challenge City for the title. They have last season's best player (Son), a phenomenal striker in Kane, and one the world's best managers. Yet they're playing very drab football, conceding a ton of goals, and entirely relying on Kane. Plus, United and Newcastle have a game in hand on Spurs, so will likely get further adrift. Admittedly Spurs fans do normally expect their club to be way better than they have any right to be, but this season their disappointment understandable.
