Excellent video! Thorough and concise!👌
Super slick, and giving me inspiration! Thanks for sharing.
Best approach ive seen , thank you .
Very helpful, please post more videos from the A to Z process including the floors. ALSO if I am using Z shadow without baseboard.
Excellent video, very informative.
Beautiful Look. Thanks for sharing.
Very informative. I do wish I had seen you actually install the door frame but I understand that’s not the title of the video.
Please god don't let this become popular with commercial architects 😳🤞🏽🤞🏽😳

Looks dope though, you’d get the hang of it as well! And can charge way more $$$
Nice product and worth the extra time/effort for a clean look. Do you have to have the floor installed first or at least know the thickness you factor in so the gap stays at 1/2" but you can still jam in carpet after the baseboards are done?
I just got photos from a project using F channel. The mud went over the trim and we don't have really nice clean straight lines like you have. What do you think happened? I'm thinking they didn't use enough adhesive and there is too much give on the trim, and so it went over.
I plan to do the same on a project that's going on right now. How did you manage to get such a wide-looking casing? Did you make your door jambs shallow and then overlayed on the casing? The house I am working on has 2x4 walls. So I am considering to make 3 1/2 inch deep door jambs and then using a 1/2 inch casing on top. But the problem is that the hinges cannot go over the casing and so, the door itself doesn't sit flush. Your hinges seem to be right on the edge. How did you achieve that?
I just looked at a new construction that wants this bead instead of base trim. Trying to figure what to charge. Thinking about $2.50 a linear foot to install it. I'm also starting a remodel on my personal house. I'm going around all the doors and flush to the floor with it.
Is there a shadow bead for an outside corner greater then 90 degrees and transitions from drywall to trim?
you explained this 100x better than mat risinger and actually showed it coming together. yet his video has 1m views. youtube algo you hear me? get it together
Where can I buy that item shadow bead
Approx how long to install on the whole house and how many guys
I will like to do that in my house, how much will that cost me, same linkage feet 2k
👍👍👍
What do you do with respect to the energy code requirements for the air barrier. A 1/4”-1/2” overlap on todays “straight” framing members surely will leave some loose fitting overlaps allowing airflow to occurs which would be a issue in the lower states where a vapor barrier isn’t required like the northern states. I guess installing a 12” strip of wrap along the bottom? Or something similar? Curious. Then again most of these “Blow’n Go” subs down here wouldn’t address it.

bead should sit on the base and not the other way around...
The video is less helpful than one may assume. Showing is ALWAYS better than telling. I can assume much from the explanation, but I’m a trim carpenter with 20+ years of experience. The detail looks great, though.
What a fucking nightmare. Especially the base molding bead

why? I am using it for the first time. Is it difficult to work with ?

@@elaahmady4026 just time consuming and tedious for in my opinion a negligible improvement. Which is fine but I would charge according to install.
useless

How do you end up painting, or staining the wood without messing up the shadow line?
