Yup, sound wisdom. 👍 Was a peace officer for three decades. To this day, I sit where my gunhand is uninhibited and I have full view of the room. At 74, my cane is my non-lethal defense.

As a former RANGER and FED Operative (bodyguard, and anti-terrorist specialist).. I ALWAYS sit where I can get my BACK to the wall-- and with easy exit in sight.

I like Mr. Melton's videos. Unlike all the other cane defense experts, he does not jump, dance, and bounce around swinging and twirling his cane like a wannbe Ninja - he skips all the non-essential BS show moves and gets to the point - attack me and BOOM you're getting pummeled by the cane - you only get one chance to defend yourself so do it right and do it mean.

Founder?!? Let's be honest here. Cane Masters was originally created by my old friend GM Mark Shuey over 40 years ago. Mr Melton bought it.

Like J B Hickock keep your back to the wall. Or the police. Other than that you got lots of good things to say.
