1: across finishing in armpit 2: an uppercut motion from the pit 3: horizontal 4: horizontal backhand 5: across diagonally just like #1 but this time finish in a very fanciful fencing posture, tip of the came pointed at the assailant is now a ready position (for stabbbing?). We dont know. We know he only cares about 1 and 5. 2-4 my boy seems a little unsure about.

There's really no substitute for a two-handed baseball-type strike, though.

Well there is the jab. Puts the full mass and momentum of the cane behind the 1/2" tip. Jab is quicker therefore more accurate.

Distance is higher with one hand strike. That's why to hands swords are longer than one hand.

Thank you for responding to my text. Because i KNOW there are lots of techniqes for using a cane and or quarter staff. The main targets are soft tissue areas and bones. I like this video.

All good, but every strike you're showing sir, leaves you open, should you miss, and works under assumption of continued range advantage. Most of the power of the attack is focused on the end of the cane/stick/sword.

Bruh you trippin If you think a well trained and practiced individual of Kali style cane strikes can’t easily defend themselves. If you don’t train you’ll suck. These guys been doing it since the 70s. And remember it’s for people who use canes and walking sticks, not you. Your only as good as what you practice. Calm down and stop attacking old school Kungfu flix.

Power? Yes. Speed? Not for shit. Stop giving people bad advice, and actually research some historical melee weapon techniques. The shit you saw in your childhood movies is not gonna work in real life grandad

Ummm those are actually Regimental techniques he is teaching. It is likely they were also incorporated into Bartitsu for the cane.
